Ante la digna lucha que desde hace ocho años la comunidad ñätho de San Francisco Xochicuautla ha dado en contra del proyecto carretero de cuota Toluca-Naucalpan, que contempla la destrucción de su bosque sagrado para conectar las zonas de lujo de Interlomas al aeropuerto de Toluca, el mal gobierno encabezado por el asesino Enrique Peña Nieto, firmó un decreto de expropiación con el cual pretende arrebatar el territorio comunal de San Francisco Xochicuautla.
A lo largo de estos años hemos visto a qué intereses responden los malos gobiernos, ya que sus fuerzas de seguridad escoltan la maquinaria de Autovan, parte de Grupo Higa, con la que quieren ejecutar la destrucción del bosque ñätho. Con este decreto expropiatorio creen que podrán imponer el despojo y la destrucción. Hoy les decimos que sabemos que el mal gobierno siempre ha pisoteado nuestros derechos como pueblos indígenas, que nos desprecia y que en todos los rincones de México va e impone proyectos de muerte, pero que en San Francisco Xochicuautla no podrá.
La comunidad ha llevado una lucha legal acudiendo a diversos tribunales e instancias del mal gobierno mexicano, pero la mayoría se ha mostrado de manera parcial protegiendo a los poderosos.
Nosotros sabemos que San Francisco Xochicuautla ha defendido y defenderá su territorio, que además ha acompañado a muchos pueblos y comunidades en sus luchas.
Por eso hoy hacemos un llamado a los pueblos de México y el Mundo, a los hermanos y hermanas de la Sexta Nacional e Internacional a estar atentos sobre lo que en el futuro acontezca en la lucha de San Francisco Xochicuautla.
A San Francisco Xochicuautla le decimos que no están solos en este nuestro caminar en la resistencia de los pueblos indígenas.

Faced with the dignified struggle that the Ñätho community of San Francisco Xochicuautla has maintained for the last eight years against the Toluca-Naucalpan toll road project which threatens the destruction of their sacred forest in order to connect the wealthy zones of Interlomas to the Toluca airport, the bad government, led by the murderer Enrique Peña Nieto, signed a decree of expropriation with which it intends to snatch up the communal territory of San Francisco Xochicuautla.
Throughout the years we have seen which interests the bad governments respond to, given that their security forces escort the Autovan machinery, a company belonging to the Higa Group, with which they plan to destroy the Ñätho forest. They believe that with this decree of expropriation they can impose plunder and destruction. Today we say that we know that the bad government has always trampled our rights as indigenous peoples, that they despise us, and that they may go to every corner of Mexico to impose their death projects, but they won’t be able to do so in San Francisco Xochicuautla.
The community has carried out a legal battle, appealing to different courts and agencies of the Mexican bad government, but most of those have proven partial to protecting the powerful.
We know that San Francisco Xochicuautla has defended and will defend their territory, as well as having accompanied many peoples and communities in their struggles.
So today we call upon the people of Mexico and the World, on the brothers and sisters of the National and International Sixth, to be attentive to what happens in the struggle of San Francisco Xochicuautla.
To San Francisco Xochicuautla, we say that you are not alone in this shared journey of indigenous peoples’ resistance.

Ante los violentos acontecimientos perpetrados el pasado 19 de julio de 2015 en contra de la comunidad indígena de Santa María Ostula por un numeroso comando conformado por miembros de la Policía Federal Preventiva, la Secretaría de la Defensa Nacional y la Secretaría de Marina, hechos en los que fue detenido el comandante de la policía comunitaria de Ostula, Cemeí Verdía Zepeda, y en los que los soldados federales asesinaron POR UN IMPACTO DE BALA EN LA CARA AL NIÑO EDILBERTO REYES GARCÍA DE DOCE AÑOS e hirieron a la niña Yeimi Nataly Pineda Reyes, de 6 años, a Edith Balbino Vera, a Delfino Antonio Alejo Ramos de 17 años, a Horacio Valladares Manuel de 32 años, a José Nicodemos Macías Zambrano, de 21 años, y a Melesio Cristino Dirzio, de 60 años, …

La criminal actuación de dichas corporaciones militares y policiacas y su complicidad con el crimen organizado, en este caso Los Caballeros Templarios, para escalar la guerra de conquista que desde hace años han desatado contra la comunidad indígena nahua de Santa María Ostula con el fin de ocupar sus territorios, favorecer los intereses mineros y turísticos trasnacionales y como castigo por haberse atrevido dicha comunidad a recuperar sus territorios de los que era despojada y a defenderse, haciendo valer su derecho a la vida, del crimen organizado que hoy sirve de brazo paramilitar al Estado Mexicano.

WE DENOUNCE:
The criminal behavior of the above listed military and police bodies and their complicity with organized crime, in this case the Knights Templar, enacted in order to escalate the war of conquest that has been waged for years now against the Nahua indigenous community of Santa María Ostula. The goal of this war of conquest is to occupy the community’s territories in favor of mining and transnational tourist interests, and to punish this community for having dared to take back the land from which they had been displaced and for having defended themselves—by putting into practice their right to live—from organized crime, which today serves as the paramilitary branch of the Mexican State.
