[:es]El Congreso Nacional Indígena (CNI) y su Concejo Indígena de Gobierno (CIG) denunciaron ayer la desaparición forzada del Concejal Nahua del CIG José lucio Bartolo Faustino y del delegado del CNI Modesto Verales Sebastián en el estado de Guerrero. Ambos viajaron a la ciudad de Chilpancingo para asistir a una reunión con otros miembros de la organización CIPOG-EZ, a la cual pertenecen. A su regreso a su comunidad fueron emboscados y desaparecidos. El CNI reporta que el vehículo en el que viajaban fue encontrado con disparos de arma de fuego y que se están organizando brigadas de búsqueda. Reportan también que, en tiempos recientes, las comunidades que los eligieron como concejal del CIG-CNI y como delegado del CNI han estado bajo el asedio de organizaciones criminales toleradas por los tres niveles de gobierno.
[:en]The National Indigenous Congress (CNI) and its Indigenous Governing Council (CIG) denounced yesterday the forceful disappearance of Nahua CIG councilmember José lucio Bartolo Faustino and CNI delegate Modesto Verales Sebastián in the state of Guerrero. Both had traveled to the city of Chilpancingo to attend a meeting with other members of CIPOG-EZ, organization to which both of them belong. On their way back to their community, they were ambushed and kidnapped. The CNI reports that the vehicle in which they traveled was found with gun shots and that they are currently organizing search brigades. They also report that in recent times the communities that elected them have been under attack by criminal organizations tollerated by the municipal, state, and federal governments.
