“LLEGÓ LA HORA DEL FLORECIMIENTO DE LOS PUEBLOS”:
UN PASO MÁS.

COMUNICADO CONJUNTO DEL CONGRESO NACIONAL INDÍGENA Y LA COMISIÓN SEXTA DEL EZLN, EN SALUDO A L@S PRIMER@S INTEGRANTES DE LA ASOCIACIÓN CIVIL “LLEGÓ LA HORA DEL FLORECIMIENTO DE LOS PUEBLOS”, UN PASO, LEGAL Y NECESARIO, PARA LOGRAR EL REGISTRO DE LA CANDIDATURA DE LA VOCERA DEL CIG, LA INDÍGENA MARÍA DE JESÚS PATRICIO MARTÍNEZ, A LA PRESIDENCIA DE LA REPÚBLICA MEXICANA 2018-2024.

Compañeras, compañeros y compañeroas:

Los barrios, tribus, naciones y pueblos originarios agrupados en el Congreso Nacional Indígena, y las comunidades indígenas zapatistas, saludan el logro de un paso más en el largo camino para conseguir que el nombre de la vocera del Concejo Indígena de Gobierno, la compañera indígena nahua María de Jesús Patricio Martínez, aparezca en las boletas electorales del 2018 como candidata a la presidencia de México.

Este paso legal ha sido posible gracias al generoso oído, la respetuosa mirada y la palabra amiga de mujeres y hombres que se han ganado, con su historia y esfuerzos propios, un lugar especial no sólo en México y en el mundo, también y, sobre todo, en el corazón del color que somos de la tierra que somos.

Tanto el Congreso Nacional Indígena como los indígenas zapatistas manifiestan aquí su beneplácito y agradecimiento sincero a:

Estas personas, junto a otras que están siendo contactadas, forman parte de la Asociación Civil llamada “LLEGÓ LA HORA DEL FLORECIMIENTO DE LOS PUEBLOS”, instancia necesaria para iniciar el camino del registro de la candidatura de quien, con cariño y respeto, llamamos “Marichuy”, para que, por primera vez en la historia de este país, una mujer de pueblo originario, indígena, contienda por la presidencia de la República Mexicana.

Todas y todos ell@s, por su honestidad y compromiso, son de nuestra absoluta confianza y admiración, por lo que presentamos sus nombres a la primera Asamblea General del Concejo Indígena de Gobierno, celebrada estos días 5 y 6 de agosto del 2017.  El Concejo Indígena de Gobierno recibió con alegría el apoyo de est@s herman@s que, por su trabajo en las ciencias, las artes y la lucha social, tienen el reconocimiento de amplios sectores en México y el mundo.

Frente a la guerra en curso, nuestra apuesta es por la paz real, es decir, con democracia, libertad y justicia.

Éste es un paso más en nuestro camino para encontrarnos con quienes queremos escuchar y llamarles a organizarse.

Desde los rincones más olvidados del México originario, y por la Reconstitución Integral de Nuestros Pueblos: ¡Nunca Más Un México Sin Nosotros!

The Hour for Our Peoples to Flourish Has Arrived
Another Step Forward

Joint communique from the National Indigenous Congress and the Sixth Commission of the EZLN greeting the first members of the civil association, “The Hour for Our Peoples to Flourish Has Arrived.” This is a required legal step in order to register the candidacy of the spokesperson of the CIG [Indigenous Governing Council], the indigenous woman María de Jesús Patricio Martínez, for the presidency of the Mexican Republic 2018-2024.

Compañeras, compañeros, and compañeroas:

The originary barrios, tribes, nations, and peoples gathered in the National Indigenous Congress and the indigenous Zapatista communities salute this next step forward on the long road toward putting the name of our indigenous compañera María de Jesús Patricio Martínez on the electoral ballot in 2018 as candidate for the Mexican presidency.

This legal step has been possible thanks to the generous ear, respectful gaze, and friendly word of women and men who have earned, through their own history and efforts, a special place not only in Mexico and in the world but also, and above all, in the heart that is the color of the earth that we are.

The National Indigenous Congress as well as the indigenous Zapatistas express here our approval of and appreciation to:

These persons, along with others who are currently being contacted, form part of the Civil Association named “The Hour for Our Peoples to Flourish Has Arrived,” a necessary body formed in order to begin the path of registration for the candidate whom, with respect and affection, we call “Marichuy,” so that for the first time in this country’s history, a woman from an originary people, and indigenous woman, contends for the presidency of the Mexican Republic.

Because of their honesty and commitment, all of these people hold our absolute trust and admiration. We thus presented their names to the first General Assembly of the Indigenous Governing Council held August 5 and 6, 2017. The Indigenous Governing Council received with joy the support of these brothers and sisters who are recognized across broad sectors in Mexico and the world due to their work in the sciences, arts, and social struggle.

In the face of the current war, our wager is for a real peace, that is, with democracy, freedom, and justice. This is one further step on our path to find those who we want to hear to and who we want to call to organize themselves.
