Los días 5 y 6 de febrero más de 110 delegados y 44 pueblos y organizaciones participaron en Mezcala, Jalisco, en la XXVII reunión convocada por el CNI, Región Centro Pacífico, donde se debatió sobre la autonomía. En las tres mesas de trabajo se discutió: qué es la autonomía; cuáles han sido los problemas de ejercer la autonomía; proyectos autónomos que se están realizando; y cómo se presenta el despojo en las comunidades. La Declaratoria final recoge el fruto de los trabajos y una relación de denuncias, que son una muestra de lo que está pasando a compañer@s adherentes en todo el país.

Representantes de 44 comunidades indígenas comparten experiencias de autonomías en sus pueblos

On Feb 5 and 6 more than 110 delegates and 44 communities and organizations participated in Mezcala, Jalisco, of the 13th meeting of the CNI, Center-Pacific Region, where autonomy was debated. In the three workgroups these questions were debated: what is autonomy; what have been the problems for exercising autonomy; autonomous proyects under way, and how is dispossession experienced in the communities. The Final Declaration gathers the results of the work and a list of denunciations that reflect what is happening to adherents to the Other Campaign throughout the country.

En el Cideci, Universidad de la Tierra, en San Cristóbal de Las Casas, Chiapas, se presentó el audio-libro multilingue Tejiendo Nuestras Raíces. Los autores son miembros de comunidades, organizaciones y colectivos, que al partir de su raíz y al contar ellos mismos sus propias historias colectivo-individuales, nos abren una ventana para echar una mirada al saber/hacer de los pueblos originarios maya-chiapanecos y al quehacer de aquellos que, mayanizados, han caminado-aprendido junto con ellos desde tiempo atrás.

At Cideci, Universidad de la Tierra, en San Cristóbal de Las Casas, Chiapas, the mutlilingual audio-book Sjalel Kibeltik – Tejiendo Nuestras Raíces was presented. The authors are members of communities, organizations, and collectives, who through their roots and by telling their own collective-individual storeis, open a window to look at the knowledge/doing of the originary Mayan-Chiapan peoples and the work of those who, Mayanized, have walked/learned with them since times past.
