Les saludamos con mucho cariño desde El Barrio, Nueva York. Hoy día nos encontramos con mucha esperanza y rebeldía en el corazón por las siguientes noticias que queremos compartir con ustedes en este tercer informe sobre la convocatoria a la “Semana de Lucha Mundial por la Libertad de Patishtán y Sántiz López: A Tumbar las Paredes del Calabozo” (convocatoria completa abajo).

Primero: Recientemente nos han avisado la Junta de Buen Gobierno de Oventic y familiares del base de apoyo zapatista Francisco Sántiz López que este lunes darán sus palabras respectivas como Junta y familiares respecto a la “Semana de Lucha Mundial por la Libertad de Patishtán y Sántiz López: A Tumbar las Paredes del Calabozo”. En cuanto tengamos estas palabras dignas y profundas se las compartiremos.

Sin duda alguna, la lucha por la libertad de nuestros presos políticos Alberto y Francisco siempre ha sido encabezada por sus familias y compañer@s más próximos. Por tanto, estos actos por parte de las familias Patishtán y Sántiz López nos llenan de ganas de seguir poniendole presión al mal gobierno para que obedezca la voluntad del pueblo digno y que por fin liberen de inmediato a nuestros compañeros Alberto Patishtán Gómez y Francisco Sántiz López.

Segundo: Como hemos ya reportado en los dos previos informes, cada semana varios paises de este planeta siguen sumándose a nuestra convocatoria. Al sumarse, hacen enriquecer a nuestra memoria, nuestras relaciones como pueblos en resistencia, y el llamamiento de nuestros compañeros que están presos por luchar. Desde el último informe, tres paises más se unirán durante la Semana de Lucha Mundial, contamos pues con grupos y colectivos de Canadá, Nueva Zelanda, y Suiza, de México, Sudáfrica, Brasil, Estado Español, Inglaterra, Escocia, Estados Unidos, y Argentina. Con cada país, estado, ciudad, pueblo, que se úne, rompemos otro muro más del Poder, construyendo otro mundo en el proceso.

We send you warm greetings from El Barrio, New York. Today, we find our hearts full of hope and rebellion due to the news conveyed in this third update on the convocation for the “Week of Worldwide Struggle for the Liberation of Patishtán and Sántiz López: Bringing Down the Prison Walls” (full convocation below).

First: We have recently been informed by the Junta de Buen Gobierno of Oventic and family members of Francisco Sántiz López, Zapatista support base member, that they will both offer their respective words on the “Week of Worldwide Struggle for the Liberation of Patishtán and Sántiz López: Bringing Down the Prison Walls.” As soon as we receive their dignified and profound words, we will share them with you all.

The struggle to free our political prisoners, Alberto and Francisco, has undoubtedly been spearheaded by their families and closest comrades. Therefore, the recent responses of the Patishtán and Sántiz López families fill us with the strength and inspiration to continue pressuring the bad government to obey the will of the dignified people, and immediately free our compañeros, Alberto Patishtán Gómez and Francisco Sántiz López.

Second: As we have reported in the previous two updates, every week many countries of the world continue to join our convocation. Upon doing so, they enrich our collective memory, our relationships as communities in resistance, and the call of our compañeros who are imprisoned for fighting for justice. Since the last update, three more countries have announced that they will join us during the Week of Worldwide Struggle. We now confirm the participation of groups and collectives from Canada, New Zealand, and Switzerland, in addition to Mexico, South Africa, Brazil, Spain, England, Scotland, the U.S., and Argentina. With each country, state, city, and community that joins, we break down another border wall constructed by the powerful and build a new world in the process.
