Desde el Reino Unido: APOYO A LA SEMANA DE LUCHA MUNDIAL POR LA LIBERTAD DE PATISHTÁN Y SÁNTIZ LÓPEZ: A TUMBAR LAS PAREDES DEL CALABOZO

Declaración en apoyo a la “SEMANA DE LUCHA MUNDIAL POR LA LIBERTAD DE PATISHTÁN Y SÁNTIZ LÓPEZ: A TUMBAR LAS PAREDES DEL CALABOZO”

Nosotros, los abajo firmantes, en representación de las agrupaciones nombradas abajo, reunidos el sábado, 21 de abril del 2012 en Bradford, Inglaterra, durante una reunión de la Red Zapatista del Reino Unido, hemos acordado brindar nuestro apoyo a la “SEMANA DE LUCHA MUNDIAL POR LA LIBERTAD DE PATISHTÁN Y SÁNTIZ LÓPEZ: A TUMBAR LAS PAREDES DEL CALABOZO” convocada por nuestras hermanas y hermanos de Movimiento por Justicia del Barrio, La Otra Campaña Nueva York.

Esa semana tendrá lugar del martes, 15 de mayo al jueves, 22 de mayo de este año, y por medio de nuestros diferentes grupos estaremos organizando varias acciones en apoyo a la liberación inmediata de estos dos presos políticos, quienes representan de manera simbólica a las numerosas personas que siguen encarceladas injustamente no por los crimenes que no cometieron, sino por sus convicciones políticas.

Como primer acto en apoyo a la campaña, la Red ha escrito y enviará una carta al Presidente de la República Mexicana, Felipe Calderón, exigiéndole justicia a los dos presos.

“We, the undersigned, representing the groups listed below, on Saturday April 21st 2012, when gathered at Bradford, England for a meeting of the UK Zapatista Solidarity Network, agreed to offer our support to the “WEEK OF GLOBAL STRUGGLE FOR THE LIBERATION OF PATISHTÁN AND SÁNTIZ LÓPEZ: BRINGING DOWN THE PRISON WALLS” which has been convoked by our brothers and sisters from the Movement for Justice in El Barrio, The Other Campaign New York.

This week is to take place from Tuesday, May 15 to Tuesday May 22 of this year, and in our different groups we will be organising different actions in support of the immediate release of these two political prisoners, who are symbolic of the many people unjustly imprisoned, apparently for crimes they have not committed, but in reality for their political convictions.

As their first step in endorsing the campaign, the Network has written a letter which it will be sending to Felipe Calderón, President of the Mexican Republic, demanding justice for the two prisoners.”
