En el Cideci, Universidad de la Tierra, en San Cristóbal de Las Casas, Chiapas, se presentó el audio-libro multilingue Tejiendo Nuestras Raíces. Los autores son miembros de comunidades, organizaciones y colectivos, que al partir de su raíz y al contar ellos mismos sus propias historias colectivo-individuales, nos abren una ventana para echar una mirada al saber/hacer de los pueblos originarios maya-chiapanecos y al quehacer de aquellos que, mayanizados, han caminado-aprendido junto con ellos desde tiempo atrás.
At Cideci, Universidad de la Tierra, en San Cristóbal de Las Casas, Chiapas, the mutlilingual audio-book Sjalel Kibeltik – Tejiendo Nuestras Raíces was presented. The authors are members of communities, organizations, and collectives, who through their roots and by telling their own collective-individual storeis, open a window to look at the knowledge/doing of the originary Mayan-Chiapan peoples and the work of those who, Mayanized, have walked/learned with them since times past.
Bloqueo por presos políticos de Mitzitón y agresiones en Molino de los ArcosRoad block for political prisoners of Mitzitón and agressions in Molino de los Arcos, Chiapas
El 27 de enero los ejidatarios de la comunidad de Mitzitón, Chiapas, adherentes a la otra campaña, hicieron un bloqueo de de la carretera San Cristóbal – Ocosingo y un plantón frente a la cárcel de Los Llanos, Cereso 5, para exigir la liberación de dos compañeros presos injustamente hace 9 y 3 años respectivamente. Esta acción es parte de una larga lucha de los ejidatarios por resistir arbitrariedades del gobierno y agresiones paramilitares. En el plantón, que duró poco más de 24 horas, estuvieron también miembros de muchas comunidades adherentes al la Otra Campaña, entre ellos la comunidad de Molino de Los Arcos. Allá, aprovechando la ausencia de la mayoría de los hombres, un grupo opositor se aprovechó para agredir y atacaron a mujeres y niños con palos y piedras.
On Jan 27 members of the community of Mitzitón, Chiapas, adherents to the other campaign, blocked the highway San Cristóbal – Ocosingo and did a sit-in in front of the Los Llanos prison (Cereso 5) to demand the freedom of two compañeros who have been unjustly jailed for 9 and 3 years. This action is part of a long struggle to resist government abuses and paramilitary agressions. In the sit-in, which lasted over 24 hours, members of other communities adherents to the Other Campaign were also present. Among them, membres from the community of Molino de los Arcos.In that community, an opposing group took advantage of the fact that most of the men were absent to attack mostly women and children with sticks and rocks.
