DESDE DORSET, INGLATERRA: “5 Días MÁS de Acción Mundial por los 5 de Bachajón” y “Día de Acción Global por La Liberación del Preso Político Zapatista.”Update from Dorset, UK: “5 MORE Days of Worldwide Action for the Bachajon 5” campaign and the “Global Day of Action for the Liberation of the Zapatista Political Prisoner”
En Dorset, Inglaterra, el Grupo de Solidaridad con Chiapas realizó una manifestación el pasado domingo, 24 de abril, en apoyo a la campaña “5 Días MÁS de Acción Mundial por los 5 de Bachajón” y al “Día de Acción Global por La Liberación del Preso Político Zapatista.” Ésta fue la tercera acción realizada este mes, durante la cual se repartieron volantes y otra información.
L@s indigenas tseltales de Bachajón están resistiendo para salvar sus tierras y los recursos naturales de los lujosos proyectos turisticos transnacionales, los cuales buscan saquear y destruir a la riqueza natural que existe en el territorio ejidal. Dicho grupo mostró su apoyo por l@s herman@s rebeldes en su lucha por la autonomía y para crear otros mundos posibles—o sea, un mundo más libre, justo, y ético, en dónde se respeta de verdad toda clase de vida. Exigieron que se reconozca su derecho a la libre determinación, ya que se da por leyes internacionales. Además, el grupo exigio que se liberen los cinco presos políticos de Bachajón y el recientemente encarcelado Zapatista del ejido Monte Redondo.
En la tarde del mismo día, se presentó el tercer videomensaje de l@s compas de Bachajón. Al fin, el grupo celebró el valor y la rebeldía de l@s compas. El grupo tiene la esperanza que este mensaje solidario de parte de muchas zonas por todo el Reino Unido, pues que les llegue y que se eschuche hasta allá.The Chiapas Solidarity Group from Dorset, England, UK held a demonstration on Sunday 24th April in support of the “5 more days of Worldwide Action for the Bachajon 5” campaign and the “global day of action for the Liberation of the Zapatista Political Prisoner”. This is the third action so far this month and fliers were handed out and information provided.
The indigenous Tzeltal people of Bachajon are struggling to save their land and natural resources from being plundered and destroyed for the sake of multinational luxury tourist developments. The group showed their support for their rebel brothers and sisters in their struggle for autonomy and for the creation of different realities, a more free, just and ethical world where all forms of life are respected. They demanded the recognition of their right to free determination under international law. The group also called for the release of the 5 political prisoners from Bachajon, and the recently imprisoned Zapatista from Monte Redondo.
In the evening the third videomessage from the compas of Bachajon was shown. The group saluted their courage and their rebelliousness and hoped they will hear the message of solidarity being sent to them from areas throughout the UK.
