Informe desde Dorset, Reino Unido, Europa sobre el Dia Mundial por La Liberación de los Presos Poiticos de San Sebastián Bachajón y El Dia Internacional en Honor a Las Mujeres de La Otra Campaña

El Grupo en Solidaridad Con Chiapas de Dorset, Reino Unido respondió a la convocatoria de Movimiento por Justicia del Barrio que llamó a varios grupos alrededor del mundo que tomaran acciónes acerca de los dos dias. Cinco permanecen encarcelados debido a que el gobierno desea despojarlos de la tierra para utilizarla en sus proyectos internacionales, incluyiendo el plan turistico para Chiapas.

Se repartieron folletos y, así, se informó mucha gente que no sabía nada de México más que la llamada guerra contra las drogas. Por este medio se enteró de las valientes comunidades y grupos resistiendo el desplazamiento y despojo y la represion de parte de los tres niveles de gobierno en México. A la vez, otras acciónes estaban sucediendo en muchos otros paises, tales como Edinburgh, Nueva York, Sudafrica, Filipinas, Francia y Alemania, entre otros, incluso México por supuesto.

Despues, hubo una oportunidad de mirar un videomensaje enviado de parte de los hermanos y hermanas en San Sebastián Bachajón. En ello se reconoció el apoyo y solidaridad que se les mando para fortalecer su resistencia. Este mensaje tambien ha sido visto en muchos paises por todo el mundo, que la resistencia nuestra  es también transnacional.

The Worldwide Day of Action for the Liberation of the Political Prisoners of San Sebastian Bachajón and the International Day in Honor of the Women of the Other Campaign
The Dorset Chiapas Solidarity Group responded to the call from the Movement for Justice in El Barrio for groups throughout the world to hold actions around International Women’s Day in solidarity with the political prisoners of San Sebastian Bachajón, Chiapas, Mexico. Six out of 117 people remain imprisoned because the state government wants to take their land and use it for transnational developments, including the Tourist Plan for Chiapas.
Leaflets were handed out, and people who nothing of what is happening in Mexico beyond the “war on drugs” learned of the brave communities and groups resisting displacement and dispossession and repression from the three levels of government in Mexico. Actions were taking place in many countries, in Edinburgh, New York, the Phillipines, Barcelona, South Africa, France and Germany, among others, as well of course as in Mexico.
Later there was an opportunity to watch a video message sent from the brothers and sisters in San Sebastian Bachajón, acknowledging the message of love and solidarity sent to them to help strengthen their resistance. This message has also been watched in countries throughout the world, for our resistance is transnational too!
