Una vez más el dolor e indignación de los pueblos en rebeldía y resistencia que conformamos el Congreso Nacional Indígena unimos nuestras voces, rabia y dolor, ahora por nuestros espejos de la Comunidad Indígena Ñatho de San Francisco Xochicuautla y por los defensores del Agua de la Tribu Yaqui.

Nuestros hermanos y hermanas de Xochicuautla han defendido su bosque, oponiéndose a la construcción de la autopista privada Toluca-Naucalpan, porque saben que de sus árboles, de sus montañas, de sus venas de agua surge la vida. Han ganado un amparo que prohíbe los trabajos en sus tierras comunales y desde el 8 de octubre de este año, trabajadores de la empresa custodiados por grupos tácticos de la secretaria de seguridad ciudadana del Estado de México han estado invadiendo esas tierras, cortando cientos de árboles, porque a los malos gobiernos no les importa si los de abajo usamos sus leyes para defendernos, de por sí las rompen con tal de destruirnos, porque para eso las construyen.

Once more we express our pain and rage as the peoples in rebellion and resistance who make up the National Indigenous Congress. We unite our voices, our rage, and our pain in response to what is happening in the Ñatho Indigenous Community of San Francisco Xochicuautla and to the members of the Yaqui Tribe who are defending their water source.

Our brothers and sisters of Xochicuautla have defended their forests against the construction of the private highway between Toluca and Naucalpan, because they know that life itself emerges from these trees, mountains, and waters. They were granted legal protection prohibiting this work on communal lands, but since October 8 of this year, workers from the construction company under the protection of public “Citizen Security” Forces of the State of Mexico have been invading their lands and cutting down hundreds of trees. The bad government doesn’t care if we below use their laws to defend ourselves; they break those laws themselves in order to destroy us. They made them for the same reason.

En su comunidad hay actos de provocación, persecución, hostigamiento e intromisión ilegal al territorio comunal, la empresa constructora denominada Autovan S.A de C.V encabezada por un sujeto llamado Fernando Ambriz, irrumpió haciendo correr el rumor entre la población que van a detener a los que no les permitan trabajar, pero la empresa no cuenta con un documento que avale su presencia en su territorio porque hay un juicio de amparo directo (48/2014) que sentencia la nulidad de asambleas hechas para “permitir” el paso del proyecto e invalida el convenio de ocupación previa y todo lo referente a lo relacionado, cumpliendo así la ejecutoria el magistrado Jorge J. de Silva Cano del tribunal unitario agrario con sede en Toluca.

Nuevamente el Estado mexicano por medio del gobernador Eruviel Ávila Villegas viola flagrantemente nuestros derechos y desacata los mandatos judiciales emitidos por los tribunales, utilizando una vez más la desviación de poder, porque está en contra de nosotros, los pueblos originarios, porque le estorbamos para sus planes que están en contra de la vida y a favor de las empresas y el capitalismo.

Nos duele también lo que les ocurre a nuestros hermanos de la milenaria y heroica Tribu Yaqui, quienes también defienden la vida y el agua, ahora atentando contra la vida del compañero Lauro Baumea, a quien le incendiaron dos carros adentro de su casa y le dijeron que la próxima vez no serían carros lo que incendiarían.

Estos atentados contra la vida están en todo nuestro país, porque las mafias peligrosas que son el Estado mexicano están en contra de todas las personas que defendemos a la tierra y sus recursos, utilizan el miedo y el terror porque piensan que así los de abajo no nos vamos a mover, no nos vamos a organizar, pero esta guerra que sentimos y nos duele no nos va a aniquilar, porque el dolor y la rabia que sentimos nos une y construimos rebeldía y resistencia, y la dignidad que nutre nuestra lucha.

¡Exigimos que se respete el Bosque Otomí-Mexica y a la Comunidad Indígena Ñatho de San Francisco Xochicuautla!

¡Exigimos la cancelación de la Autopista Privada Toluca-Naucalpan y que se cumpla el amparo que protege el territorio Ñatho!

¡Exigimos que no se atente contra la vida de Lauro Baumea y la liberación de Mario Luna y Fernando Jiménez, hermanos de la Tribu Yaqui¡

¡Su dolor es el nuestro, su rabia es la nuestra!

There are currently acts of provocation, persecution, harassment, as well as illegal invasion of communal territory in this community. The construction company Autovan S.A. of C.V. run by one Fernando Ambriz invaded their territory, circulating the rumor that anyone attempting to obstruct their work would be arrested. But the company does not have legal authorization for its presence in that territory, as there is a court injunction (48/2014) nullifying the assemblies held to grant “permission” to the project and invalidating the previous permit and any other matters related project permission. This injunction was issued by Judge Jorge J. de Silva Cano of the Agrarian Tribunal headquartered in Toluca.

Once again the Mexican state, through governor Eruviel Ávila Villegas, is in flagrant violation of our rights and of the judicial orders handed down from the courts, constituting yet another misuse of power. They are against us as indigenous peoples because we pose an obstacle to their plans—plans that favor companies and capitalism but go against life.

We are also pained by what is happening to the ancient and heroic Yaqui Tribe, which is also defending life and water.

There has now been an attack on the life of Lauro Baumea; two cars parked at his house were set on fire, and the attackers said that the next time it would not be cars that they set alight.

These attacks on life and against our lives happen throughout this country, because the dangerous mafias that compose the Mexican State are against all of us who defend the land and its resources. They employ fear and terror because they think this will paralyze us, that it will keep us from organizing. But this war that we suffer will not annihilate us.

Rather, the pain and rage that we feel unites us, feeding our construction of rebellion and resistance and the dignity that nourishes our struggle.

We demand respect for the Otomí-Mexica Forest and the Ñatho Indigenous Community of San Francisco Xochicuautla!

We demand the cancellation of the Private Highway Project between Toluca and Naucalpan, and compliance with the injunction that protects Ñatho territory!

We demand safety for Lauro Baumea and the liberation of Mario Luna and Fernando Jiménez, our brothers of the Yaqui Tribe!
