Compañeras y compñaeros, hablar de ustedes se puede hacer de diversas maneras.

Es rememorar la raíz histórica de su lucha que comenzó hace más de 500 años, de la que ustedes son hereder@s y guardianes, como lo son también de esta tierra y este territorio donde reposan sus muertos y se sitúa el manantial de la vida.

Es mantener vivo el fuego de la rebeldía que comenzó en 1989 cuando mujeres y hombres decidieron organizarse por la defensa del agua, los ríos, bosques y montañas. Haciéndole frente a la corrupción y represión de los malos gobiernos que están servicio de un capitalismo voraz que ambiciona las riquezas materiales y culturales de los pueblos del mundo.

Los días 20, 21 y 22 de noviembre nos reunimos en Barcelona diversos colectivos adherentes a la Sexta y simpatizantes con el EZLN. Agradecemos a Adherentes a la Sexta de Barcelona y a la CGT por el esfuerzo organizativo dedicado a que el encuentro se realice; del mismo modo a la federación Local de Barcelona de la CGT, Aurea Social (Cooperativa Integral Catalana) y a Café Rebeldía el apoyo logístico sin el cual no habría podido celebrarse este evento.

Estuvieron presentes colectivos adherentes e individualidades de Francia, Italia, Suiza, Noruega, Euskal Herria, Catalunya, Estado Español, Alemania y Reino Unido.

Para empezar este encuentro hemos celebrado la publicación por parte de la Comisión Sexta del libro “El Pensamiento Crítico frente a la Hidra Capitalista”, importante herramienta para entender el contexto actual a través de la mirada de las y los de abajo y a la izquierda. Este libro cuenta ahora con una edición en castellano e italiano para Europa.

Durante el encuentro hemos debatido acerca de nuestras herramientas de lucha, resistencias, caminos hacia la autonomía y las luchas al lado de las compañeras y compañeros pres@s.

El libro póstumo de Luis Villoro, La alternativa: perspectivas y posibilidades de cambio, es un acontecimiento intelectual. Su pensamiento trastoca radicalmente el orden y el lenguaje dominantes. Cuartea las certezas preponderantes, elabora un nuevo idioma para la resistencia y ofrece un horizonte diferente de la transformación social.

En una época marcada por lo que la llamada Dama de Hierro, Margaret Thatcher, primera ministra británica entre 1979 y 1990, caracterizó como la del reinado del TINA (There is not alternative), es decir, en una era en que no había más discurso posible que el del neoliberalismo y se carecía de opciones para enfrentarlo, Luis Villoro escribió este libro, reivindicando la posibilidad del cambio.

Perhaps by continuing our explanation of how resistance and rebellion are weapons for us you will better understand some of the things that our compañeros and compañeras here at the table have talked about.

Through our resistance and rebellion, we have come to understand that by putting resistance and rebellion into practice we confirm that we will not allow in our struggle what happened in 1910, when so many of our fellow Mexicans died. Who took advantage of that situation?

Good evening brothers and sisters.

Good evening to everyone in general.

The topic that I will be explaining to you, actually I will read it to you, is the same topic the other compañera presented on, but with more information about the youth, both Zapatistas and non-Zapatistas.

We as Zapatista youth are facing a low intensity war that the bad government and the bad capitalists wage against us. They put ideas into our heads about modern life, like cellphones, clothes, and shoes; they put these bad ideas into our heads through TV, through soap operas, soccer games, and commercials, so that we as youth will be distracted and not think about how to organize our struggle.
