• El Estado no esclarece los hechos, ni asume su responsabilidad por la masacre ocurrida en Viejo Velasco el 13 de noviembre de 2006

Tuxtla Gutiérrez. 12 de noviembre. “Hasta hoy, los responsables materiales e intelectuales de este grave crimen permanecen protegidos por la impunidad del Estado mexicano”, expresan familiares y compañerxs de víctimas de la masacre de Viejo Velasco, el 13 de noviembre de 2016, en la Selva Lacandona. El Estado no esclarece los hechos, ni castiga a los responsables materiales e intelectuales de la brutal agresión a la comunidad indígena tseltal, tsotsil y ch’ol, perpetrada por 40 personas civiles armadas, acompañadas por 300 elementos de la Policía de Seguridad Pública, cinco Fiscales del Ministerio Público con siete policías ministeriales a su mando y personal de la Secretaria de Desarrollo Social, denuncian las y los afectados y organismos de derechos humanos.

I believe that the compañeros and especially the compañeras of the National Indigenous Congress [CNI] are also reading and listening to what you say.

It’s clear that the CNI was right about what they thought and what they told us, that there is a lot of racism in society.

I imagine you amuse and applaud each other over what a good joke you made with your leftist mockery about the EZLN’s “candigata.”[i]

You celebrate your machismo making fun of indigenous women.

You say that we ‘fucking Indians’ let ourselves be manipulated, are unable to think for ourselves, and go like sheep wherever the shepherd points.

But I think when you say this you are actually looking in the mirror.

Roberto Paciencia Cruz fue detenido arbitrariamente por la policía el 7 de agosto de 2013 en Pantelhó, Chiapas, sin órdenes de aprehensión y sin ninguna explicación. Durante dos días fue torturado y forzado a firmar una declaración falsa en la que se autoinculpaba de un secuestro. Desde entonces se encuentra recluído en el CERSSS 5 de San Cristóbal de Las Casas. El próximo 26 de noviembre de 2016, se cumplirá el plazo para que William Hernández Ovando, Juez del Ramo Penal del Distrito de San Cristóbal de Las Casas, dicte sentencia. La inocencia de Paciencia se ha demostrado por la vía legal en varias ocasiones: el único testigo inculpatorio no se ha presentado a ninguno de los varios citatorios y, por el contrario, sí hay testigos que declararon que Roberto no estuvo presente en el lugar de los hechos a la hora que se cometió el delito.

Zoques communities reject hydrocarbon exploration projects

Communities and ejidos from the municipalities of Tecpatán and Francisco León, Chiapas, reject hydrocarbon exploration and exploitation projects in their territories. Through a communiqué dated 6 October 2016, they informed that in assemblies they decided to defend the Mother Earth and their culture as Zoque peoples. On 31 October, at the municipal seat of Tecpatán, approximately 1,500 people marched in rejection of the structural reforms and for an end to the imposition of hydrocarbon projects.

Mega-pilgrimate in defense of Mother Earth and for people’s life with dignity

The Movement for the Defense of Life and Territory, made up by Pueblo Creyente from 11 municipalities of the Tseltal, Tsotsil and Ch’ol peoples from Chiapas, invites to participate in a mega-pilgrimage to denounce the death projects that are entering our communities and that damage our identity as indigenous peoples. From 15 to 25 November, from Salto de Agua to San Cristóbal de Las Casas.

The peoples, nations, and tribes who make up the National Indigenous Congress and the Zapatista Army for National Liberation manifest our profound condemnation of the actions carried out in unison by the bad governments and criminal groups against the Nahua indigenous community of Santa María Ostula, municipality of Aquila, Michoacán, in an attempt to crush their dignified and historic struggle.

These governments were not only complicit in the attack against Cemeí Verdía on May 25, 2015, but in fact freed those directly responsible, Juan Hernández Ramírez (then municipal president of Aquila) and José Antioco Calvillo. They [the government] imprisoned Cemeí Verdía on false charges and murdered the young boy Hidelberto Reyes García.

The bad governments now intend to arrest commander Germán Ramírez, fabricating criminal charges against those who struggle to defend the land and their families. At the same time, we see the regrouping of members of the Knights Templar cartel who are already reorganized and heavily armed in the eastern part of the municipality of Aquila.

GERMÁN RAMÍREZ SANCHEZ, TIENE POR LO MENOS TRES ORDENES DE APREHENSIÓN POR LOS MISMOS DELITOS POR LOS QUE FUE FALSAMENTE ACUSADO NUESTRO TAMBIÉN COMANDANTE CEMEÍ VERDÍA, adicionalmente de manera tramposa un policía comunitario de la hermana comunidad indígena de Pómaro al mando del comandante Germán, el C. ARISTOTELES FLORES CHÁVEZ FUE HECHO PRISIONERO DESDE HACE SEMANAS POR EL GOBIERNO DEL ESTADO, IGUALMENTE ACUSADO DE LOS MISMOS DELITOS QUE CEMEÍ VERDÍA, CUANDO SE PRESENTÓ A MORELIA LLAMADO POR EL GOBIERNO DEL ESTADO A REALIZAR EXAMENES DE CONTROL Y CONFIANZA.

INCLUSO EN ESTOS MOMENTOS CORRE EL RUMOR DE QUE LA MARINA ARMADA DE MÉXICO TIENE ORDENES DE DETENER AL COMANDANTE GERMÁN DONDE SEA QUE LO ENCUENTRE Y AL PRECIO QUE SEA.

Las mujeres paramos y nos organizamos frente a la violencia patriarcal

Miércoles negro. Octubre negro. Todas de negro…. una vez más… enojadas, furiosas, indignadas…Todas….la tierra tiembla, el empute es mundial!!![1] ¡¡¡PARAMOS!!! Del trabajo, de la universidad, de la escuela, del internet, del ocio, PARAMOS!!! lo paramos todo y PARAMOS TODAS. Todas porque la violencia es estructural (desde el estado hasta la cama). Todas en paro a la Marcha, aquí, allá y más allá. Estamos cuantiosamente acompañadas. Tu dolor, hermana, es el mío, nuestro dolor es bronca y nuestra bronca ahora es calle, ahora es organización, ahora es negro, ahora es paro amplificado contra el feminicidio… Ahora es Marcha, otra vez, por la vida y la dignidad.

En Bolivia nos sumamos al Paro Internacional de Mujeres convocado en Argentina, después del brutal feminicidio de Lucía Pérez.

Aquelarre Subversivo , convoca

Indignadas por los crímenes de violencia machista ocurridos en América Latina y el mundo, por los más de 50 feminicidios ocurridos en nuestro país en lo que va de año, por las nulas respuestas por parte del gobierno y la complicidad de la (in)justicia boliviana, el Aquelarre Subversivo[2] lanzó una autoconvocatoria para el 19 de octubre haciendo énfasis en la necesidad de que sea una movilización desde las bases y que no tenga relación con partidos políticos, ONGs o instituciones que lucran con la temática de “género”. En la misma participaron muchas mujeres y hombres movidos por las ganas de manifestarse contra la violencia machista y la impunidad, pero también, una vez más, una acción independiente y autónoma fue aprovechada por “autoridades” que asistieron para la foto y las entrevistas que, lamentablemente, los medios de comunicación realizan, invisibilizando la lucha de las mujeres de a pie, de las estudiantes, trabajadoras y activistas.

Cochabamba: Rabiar y organizar

Sólo en Cochabamba, Aidé Salazar, Albertina Alanoca, América Quina, Ana María Quispe, Ana Nava, Basilia Soto, Bertha Saenz, Esther Candelaria Arce, Ligia Torrez, Lilian Dayana Galindo, María Cristina Salazar, María del Carmen Carvallo, Marina Marzana, Marlene Guarayo, Máxima Rodríguez, NN (mujer no identificada), Nemesia Yapura, Nilvia Rodríguez, Roxana Salvatierra, Tania Mamani, Viviana Reque y Roxana Salvatierra han sido asesinadas brutalmente por machos violentos. Las nombramos, las recordamos, nos acompañan.

San Cristóbal de Las Casas, 27 de octubre de 2016. En conferencia de prensa en el Centro Cultural Paliacate, ejidatarios adherentes a la Sexta Declaración de la Selva Lacandona del ejido de San Sebastián Bachajón denunciaron agresiones y amenazas por parte del grupo del comisariado oficialista Manuel Guzmán Álvaro y una fuerte presencia policial en su territorio. Esto en el contexto de su larga lucha en defensa de la tierra y el territorio ante los megaproyectos turísticos que el gobierno y empresas pretenden desarrollar en la región.
