To the national and international Sixth:
Brothers and sisters:
We send you fraternal greetings on behalf of all of those who make up CIDECI-Unitierra.
With regard to the celebration of the CompArte Festival convoked by our compañer@s of the EZLN, and convinced also that “the arts are a hope for humanity… [and] that in the most difficult moments, when disillusionment and impotence are at a peak, the Arts are the only thing capable of celebrating humanity” (EZLN Communique, 7/6/2016), we want to inform you that we are continuing preparations to celebrate this sharing-exchange from July 23 through July 30. Our CIDECI-Unitierra community will keep its doors open to receive all of the persons, communities, and collectives that have felt in their hearts this call to come share experiences of art, struggle, and resistance.
As of the initial CompArte convocation, we have been happy to be able to offer our grain of sand to this celebration. You can count on us to put all of our efforts into making you feel as welcome as possible. We await you here.

Al magisterio en resistencia
Compañeros y compañeras:
Como adherentes a La Sexta en San Cristóbal de las Casas, celebramos la resistencia y saludamos los comunicados del EZLN sobre la lucha del magisterio.
Las y los adherentes nacionales e internacionales, las y los locales, las y los intergalácticos, y los recien llegados a Jovel, queremos expresar nuestras alegrías de ser, estar, participar, escuchar, bailar, en este increible encuentro de artes y alegrías por la humanidad, celebrando la vida, y construyendo un camino digno hacia la libertad. A las y los artistas les decimos: nosotros y nosotras también estamos al pendiente y les estamos esperando para poder compartir el CompArte a todos los colores y a todos los de abajo, con las maestras y los maestros en lucha y el pueblo que los apoya.
Diversos y diversas adherentes a La Sexta a lo largo y ancho de México han estado sumándose a la lucha del magisterio, les saludamos. Sabemos que hay un campamento de medios libres y compañeros de la Sexta que han estado realizando cobertura desde el plantón magisterial en San Cristóbal de las Casas.
Creemos que el arte también es una herramienta de lucha que despierta la conciencia y llama a actuar. El arte es otra forma de hacer política.
Sabemos y sentimos la tormenta y de repente en medio de lo más oscuro, sale el arcoiris. Sin tormentas no hay arcoiris. Y sabemos que junto con ustedes somos ese arcoiris.
