{"id":6758,"date":"2012-09-04T13:38:42","date_gmt":"2012-09-04T18:38:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/radiozapatista.org\/?p=6758"},"modified":"2012-09-12T08:49:43","modified_gmt":"2012-09-12T13:49:43","slug":"exigen-mas-de-tres-mil-peregrinos-liberacion-de-alberto-patishtan-en-chiapas","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/radiozapatista.org\/?p=6758","title":{"rendered":"<!--:es-->Exigen m\u00e1s de tres mil peregrinos liberaci\u00f3n de Alberto Patisht\u00e1n en Chiapas<!--:--><!--:en-->Over three thousand catholics demand freedom of Alberto Patisht\u00e1n in Chiapas<!--:-->"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><!--:es-->* Recorrieron las calles de San Cristobal en demanda de la \u201cinmediata e incondicional\u201d puesta en libertad del ind\u00edgena tzotzil.<\/p>\n<p><em>Elio Henr\u00edquez, corresponsal<\/em><br \/>\nPublicado: 04\/09\/2012 15:06<br \/>\nLa Jornada<\/p>\n<p><strong>San Crist\u00f3bal de Las Casas, Chis. <\/strong>Alrededor de tres mil cat\u00f3licos pertenecientes a la organizaci\u00f3n Pueblo Creyente de la di\u00f3cesis local realizaron una peregrinaci\u00f3n por las calles de esta ciudad para exigir la \u201cinmediata e incondicional\u201d liberaci\u00f3n del ind\u00edgena tzotzil, Alberto Patisht\u00e1n G\u00f3mez, preso desde el 2000 y sentenciado a 60 a\u00f1os de c\u00e1rcel.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNuevamente estamos presentes como Iglesia para solidarizarnos con nuestro hermano Alberto Patisht\u00e1n, expresarle que no est\u00e1 solo, que no nos casaremos hasta que goce de su plena libertad, y para exigir a los gobierno federal y estatal que en nombre de Dios ya basta de tantas injusticias en contra de los pueblos ind\u00edgenas\u201d, afirmaron los cat\u00f3licos.<\/p>\n<p>Demandaron que cesen \u201clas sentencias llenas de injusticia y los sufrimientos que se est\u00e1n cometiendo en contra\u201d de Patisht\u00e1n G\u00f3mez, a quien definieron como \u201cpreso pol\u00edtico\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cExigimos su inmediata e incondicional libertad porque es inocente y lo tienen encarcelado injustamente\u201d, se\u00f1alaron. Agregaron: \u201cUstedes, autoridades federales, estatales y magistrados encargados de impartir la justicia, no pueden sentirse m\u00e1s poderosos que Dios ni estar por encima de la ley divina, y por lo que hacen en esta tierra comparecer\u00e1n ante el Tribunal Divino\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Con la consigna de \u201cel pueblo creyente, defiende a inocentes\u201d, y con una manta encabezando el contingente que dec\u00eda: \u201cLa parroquia de El Bosque exige la liberaci\u00f3n de Alberto Patisht\u00e1n G\u00f3mez\u201d, los aproximadamente tres mil cat\u00f3licos de diez parroquias ubicadas en municipios tzotziles de los Altos de Chipas, iniciaron la peregrinaci\u00f3n a las 10 horas en la entrada poniente de San Crist\u00f3bal.<\/p>\n<p>Con cruces, im\u00e1genes de la Virgen de Guadalupe, m\u00fasica tradicional y fotograf\u00edas amplificadas de Alberto, los cat\u00f3licos, casi todos ind\u00edgenas, caminaron durante m\u00e1s de una hora hasta el centro de la ciudad y luego se dirigieron a la Catedral para concluir con una misa. En la entrada del templo fueron recibidos por el obispo auxiliar de San Crist\u00f3bal, Enrique D\u00edaz D\u00edaz, quien ofici\u00f3 la misa, acompa\u00f1ado por otros sacerdotes, entre ellos el tzotzil, Marcelo P\u00e9rez, p\u00e1rroco de Simojovel.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHoy, como en tiempo de Jes\u00fas se encarcela a personas, se les condena, se violan sus derechos, libertades y dignidad\u201d, dijo en la homil\u00eda que fue traducida al tzotzil. \u201cTambi\u00e9n hoy, al m\u00e1s pobre, al m\u00e1s d\u00e9bil, al humilde se le condena aunque sea inocente\u201d, a\u00f1adi\u00f3. \u201cDios est\u00e1 en contra de la manipulaci\u00f3n de las leyes que oprimen al inocente, al peque\u00f1o y al m\u00e1s pobre\u201d, subray\u00f3 D\u00edaz D\u00edaz, quien exigi\u00f3 \u201cuna verdadera justicia\u201d en el caso de Patisht\u00e1n G\u00f3mez.<\/p>\n<p>El Pueblo Creyente manifest\u00f3 que el ind\u00edgena tzotzil, quien est\u00e1 preso en un penal ubicado a unos 20 kil\u00f3metros de esta ciudad, \u201cnunca cometi\u00f3 el delito del que lo acusan; lo \u00fanico que ha hecho es trabajar por su pueblo y colaborar con los que luchan por la verdad y la justicia\u201d, por lo que \u201clo tienen privado de su libertad por cuestiones meramente pol\u00edticas\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Alberto Patisht\u00e1n fue detenido en junio de 2000 acusado de participar en una emboscada que provoc\u00f3 la muerte de siete polic\u00edas y heridas a dos personas m\u00e1s, en el municipio de El Bosque, en el norte de la entidad, de donde es originario; fue sentenciado a 60 a\u00f1os de prisi\u00f3n, y debido a su activismo ha sido recluido en diferentes reclusorios, incluido el de Guasave, Sinaloa, de donde fue regresado a Chiapas el mes pasado, luego de diez meses de protestas.<!--:--><!--:en--><strong>Catholics demand the freedom of Alberto Patisht\u00e1n<br \/>\nPeregrination in San Cristobal<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Elio Henr\u00edquez, correspondent<br \/>\nPosted: 09.04.2012 15:06<br \/>\nLa Jornada<\/p>\n<p><strong>San Cristobal de Las Casas, Chiapas. <\/strong>Around three thousand members of the local Catholic diocese organization \u201cPueblo Creyente\u201d  took part in a peregrination through the streets of this city to demand the &#8220;immediate and unconditional&#8221; release of indigenous Tzotzil Alberto Patisht\u00e1n  Gomez, imprisoned since 2000 and sentenced to 60 years.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Once more, we are present here as a church in solidarity with our brother Alberto Patisht\u00e1n, to tell him that he is not alone, we won\u2019t give up until he is able to enjoy his freedom, and we insist to  the federal and the state governments that  in the name of God, we have had enough of all the injustices against indigenous peoples &#8220;, Catholics said.<\/p>\n<p>The group demanded a stop to &#8220;the sentences full of injustice and suffering that are being committed against&#8221; Patisht\u00e1n Gomez, whom they defined as a &#8220;political prisoner&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We demand his immediate and unconditional release, because he is innocent and has unjustly been imprisoned,&#8221; they claimed. They added: &#8220;You, federal, state and magistrates that apply justice, must not assume you are more powerful than God or be above the law of God, and whatever you do on this planet will stand before the Heavenly Court.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>With the slogan of &#8220;the faithful, defending innocents&#8221;, and at the front of the the contingent a placard saying, &#8220;The parish of El Bosque demands the release of Patisht\u00e1n Alberto Gomez&#8221;, the approximately three thousand Catholics from 10 different parishes located in Tzotzil municipalities in the highlands of Chiapas, began their peregrination at the west entrance of San Cristobal at 10 am.<\/p>\n<p>The  Catholics, almost all indigenous,  carrying crosses, images of the Virgin of Guadalupe, traditional music and photographs of Alberto, walked for more than an hour  to the center of the city and then went to the Cathedral to conclude with a mass. The auxiliary bishop of San Cristobal Enrique Diaz Diaz met  them  at the entrance of the of the Cathedral and celebrated a Mass, accompanied by other priests, including Tzotzil, Marcelo Perez, pastor of Simojovel.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Today, as in Jesus&#8217; time people are unfairly jailed, convicted, and their rights, freedom  and dignity are breached,&#8221; he said in his homily that was translated into Tzotzil. &#8220;Also today, the poorest, the weakest, the most humble is convicted even if innocent,&#8221; he added. &#8220;God is against the manipulation of laws oppressing the innocent, the smallest and the poorest,&#8221; said Diaz Diaz, who called for &#8220;true justice&#8221; in the case of Patisht\u00e1n Gomez.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPueblo Creyente\u201d declared that the indigenous Tzotzil, who is imprisoned in a penitentiary located about 20 kilometres from the city, &#8220;never committed the crime of which he is accused, all he has done is work for his people and work alongside those fighting for truth and justice &#8220;, that\u2019s why &#8220;he has been deprived of his liberty merely for political reasons. &#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Alberto Patisht\u00e1n was arrested in June 2000 on charges of participating in an ambush that killed seven policemen and injured two others, in the municipality of El Bosque, in the north of the state, his place of origin; he was sentenced to 60 years in prison, due to his activism, has been held in different prisons, including Guasave, Sinaloa, from where he was finally returned to Chiapas last month, after ten months of protests.<!--:--><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>* Recorrieron las calles de San Cristobal en demanda de la \u201cinmediata e incondicional\u201d puesta en libertad del ind\u00edgena tzotzil.
