Desde el penal federal de Guasave, Sinaloa, el profesor tzotzil Alberto Patisht\u00e1n G\u00f3mez hizo llegar un breve manuscrito donde denuncia agresiones a su dignidad por parte de sus carceleros, quienes han llegado a extremos de desd\u00e9n y maltrato que resultan demasiado incluso para un ind\u00edgena preso 12 a\u00f1os en tres penales de Chiapas, encadenado durante meses a la cama de hospital y ahora castigado en una penitenciar\u00eda de alta seguridad a 2 mil kil\u00f3metros de su lugar de origen.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Privado de mi libertad injustamente m\u00e1s de una d\u00e9cada, he tratado en conservar en todo momento mi esencia ind\u00edgena, cosa que no ha sido tan f\u00e1cil. Actualmente parece ya imposible al estarse imponiendo en mi costumbre (tratos) que no s\u00f3lo denigran mi dignidad de ser humano, sino empiezan a atentar contra mi salud por medio de una alimentaci\u00f3n que en mi persona rompe los h\u00e1bitos que mi etnia ha tratado de mantener por siglos&#8221;, expone Patisht\u00e1n.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;El r\u00e9gimen alimenticio al que me tiene sometido la autoridad federal penitenciaria contra mi voluntad redunda en un tormento m\u00e1s, al que estoy sometido como consecuencia de la injusticia que prevalece en torno a mi situaci\u00f3n legal.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Una vez m\u00e1s&#8221;, pide al presidente de la Rep\u00fablica Felipe Calder\u00f3n Hinojosa &#8220;el respeto de mis derechos&#8221;, y exige en nombre de sus compa\u00f1eros presos en Chiapas &#8220;nuestras libertades inmediatas de la Voz del Amate, Solidarios de la Voz del Amate y Voces Inocentes&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>El Centro de Derechos Humanos Fray Bartolom\u00e9 de las Casas (Frayba) denunci\u00f3 a su vez que el gobierno ha vuelto a impedir la libertad de Patisht\u00e1n. Record\u00f3 que el 29 de febrero en Tuxtla Guti\u00e9rrez, el juez competente resolvi\u00f3 el amparo interpuesto por la defensa para ser retornado a Chiapas. &#8220;Sin embargo Felipe Calder\u00f3n, a trav\u00e9s de Secretar\u00eda de Seguridad Publica Federal, el 3 de abril interpuso un recurso para retrasar o anular el regreso&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Profesor de una primaria p\u00fablica en el municipio El Bosque, en 2000 \u201cfue involucrado en el homicidio de siete polic\u00edas, adem\u00e1s de \u2018planear y realizar\u2019 la emboscada con un miembro de las bases de apoyo del EZLN\u201d, recapitula el Frayba. &#8220;Inexplicablemente&#8221; fue sentenciado entonces, &#8220;a pesar de que qued\u00f3 demostrado en el juicio que quien los acus\u00f3, el hijo del presidente municipal, menor de edad, minti\u00f3 abiertamente, por lo que el juez absolvi\u00f3 al coacusado&#8221;, pero no a Patisht\u00e1n.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDurante los m\u00e1s de 11 a\u00f1os de inmerecida condena, Alberto ha sido un modelo de luchador social a favor de la causa de los m\u00e1s olvidados, generalmente pobres e ind\u00edgenas. Su lucha incesante ha permitido la liberaci\u00f3n de cientos de personas acusadas de delitos inexistentes o no cometidos por ellas, pero toda esa labor no ha alcanzado para que cese el encarcelamiento de un hombre inocente, un luchador social, un preso pol\u00edtico de quien Tatic Samuel demand\u00f3 su liberaci\u00f3n, y el gobernador Juan Sabines Guerrero reconoci\u00f3 su inocencia\u201d, refiere el organismo civil.<\/p>\n<p>En 2010 se le diagnostic\u00f3 glaucoma (enfermedad irreversible que opaca la vista lentamente). &#8220;Su situaci\u00f3n de salud se agrav\u00f3 por la nula atenci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica que existe al interior de los Centros Estatales de Reinserci\u00f3n y Readaptaci\u00f3n Social&#8221; en Chiapas. &#8220;Como castigo a su lucha por su libertad y la defensa de los derechos humanos, el 20 de octubre de 2011, mientras se encontraba en huelga de hambre con los Solidarios de La Voz del Amate, fue trasladado al Centro Federal de Readaptaci\u00f3n en Guasave&#8221;, a solicitud del secretario de Gobierno No\u00e9 Casta\u00f1\u00f3n Le\u00f3n, como el propio Frayba document\u00f3 semanas atr\u00e1s.<!--:--><!--:en-->* It\u2019s even affecting his food, contrary to his customs<\/p>\n<p>* Frayba denounces repeated obstacles by the government to his liberation<\/p>\n<p>By: Hermann Bellinghausen<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.jornada.unam.mx\/2012\/05\/25\/index.php?section=politica&amp;article=020n1pol\" target=\"_blank\"> Peri\u00f3dico La Jornada<\/a><\/p>\n<p>San Crist\u00f3bal de Las Casas, Chiapas, May 24, 2012<\/p>\n<p>From  the federal prison in Guasave, Sinaloa, Tzotzil Professor Alberto  Patisht\u00e1n G\u00f3mez sent a brief manuscript wherein he denounces attacks  against his dignity by prison personnel, who have  gone to the extremes of disdain and mistreatment that are too much even  for an indigenous prisoner with 12 years in three Chiapas prisons,  chained for months to a hospital bed and now punished in a high-security  penitentiary 2,000 kilometres from his place of origin.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDeprived  of my freedom unjustly for more than a decade, I have always tried to  preserve my indigenous essence, a thing that has not been so easy.  Currently it now seems impossible that they are imposing on my customs  (treatments) that not only denigrate my dignity as a human being, but  begin to  attempt against my health by means of food that in my person break the  habits that my ethnicity has tried to maintain for centuries,\u201d Patisht\u00e1n  exposes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe  food regime to which the federal prison authority has submitted me  against my will overflows into one more torment, to which I am submitted  as a consequence of the injustice that prevails around my legal  situation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOne  more time,\u201d he asks President of the Republic Felipe Calder\u00f3n Hinojosa  \u201cto respect my rights,\u201d and demands in the name of his prisoner  compa\u00f1eros in Chiapas \u201cthe immediate freedom of the Voice of El Amate  (la\u00a0<em>Voz del Amate<\/em>), those in Solidarity with the Voice of El Amate (<em>Solidarios de la Voz del Amate<\/em>) and Innocent Voices.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The  Fray  Bartolom\u00e9 de las Casas Human Rights Centre (Frayba) denounced that the  government has again impeded Patisht\u00e1n\u2019s freedom. It remembered that on  February 29 in Tuxtla Guti\u00e9rrez, the competent judge resolved the  protective order (<em>amparo<\/em>) filed by the defence for returning him  to Chiapas. \u201cNevertheless Felipe Calder\u00f3n, by means of the Federal  Secretary of Public Security, filed an appeal on April 3 to delay or  annul his return.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The  teacher at a public primary school in El Bosque municipality, in 2000  \u201cwas involved in the homicide of seven  police, besides \u2018planning and carrying out\u2019 the ambush with a member of  the EZLN\u2019s support bases\u201d recapitulates Frayba. \u201cInexplicably\u201d he was  sentenced then, \u201cdespite the fact demonstrated in the trial that the one  who accused him, the municipal president\u2019s son, a minor of age, openly  lied, for which reason the judge absolved the man co-accused,\u201d but not  Patisht\u00e1n.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDuring  the more than 11 years of his unwarranted sentence, Alberto has been a  model social struggler in favour of the cause of the most forgotten,  generally poor and indigenous.
