Foto: Moys\u00e9s Z\u00fa\u00f1iga Santiago<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\nHermann Bellinghausen<br \/>\nEnviado<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.jornada.unam.mx\/2012\/05\/24\/index.php?section=politica&amp;article=025n1pol\" target=\"_blank\">Peri\u00f3dico La Jornada<\/a><br \/>\nJueves 24 de mayo de 2012, p. 25<\/p>\n<p><em>San Crist\u00f3bal de Las Casas, Chis, 23 de mayo. <\/em>&#8220;Si el gobierno mexicano no quiere ser juzgado en las cortes internacionales por cr\u00edmenes contra la poblaci\u00f3n y los movimientos populares&#8221; debe liberar al profesor Alberto Patisht\u00e1n G\u00f3mez y al zapatista Francisco Santiz L\u00f3pez, &#8220;como una cosa inmediata&#8221;, declar\u00f3 Rafael Vilas Boas en nombre del Movimiento de Trabajadores Sin Tierra de Brasil (MST), al concluir la semana mundial por la libertad de los dos ind\u00edgenas.<\/p>\n<p>Por su parte, migrantes mexicanos del Movimiento por Justicia del Barrio de la otra campa\u00f1a en Nueva York irrumpieron este lunes en el consulado general de M\u00e9xico en dicha ciudad con la misma exigencia. Pese a la negativa inicial de atenderlos, por el personal consular, que incluso cerr\u00f3 las instalaciones llenas de &#8220;paisanos&#8221;, finalmente los escuch\u00f3 el c\u00f3nsul y \u201catr\u00e1s de \u00e9l se desdobl\u00f3 una manta grande: \u2018justicia y libertad para Alberto y Francisco\u2019\u201d. Ante un &#8220;silencio profundo&#8221; del p\u00fablico, &#8220;hicimos eco al digno llamamiento originando desde Chiapas por nuestros dos presos&#8221;, refiere el movimiento neoyorquino, convocante de la semana mundial.<\/p>\n<p>En el mensaje videograbado del MST, Vila Boas expresa que si Patisht\u00e1n sigue preso &#8220;es porque es muy competente, el trabajo que estaba haciendo era muy bueno, y no criminal&#8221;. No es &#8220;un enemigo, sino un orgullo para el pa\u00eds&#8221;, a\u00f1ade. &#8220;Si M\u00e9xico quiere ser una democracia es necesario que libere al profesor&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Respecto a Santiz L\u00f3pez, sostiene: &#8220;El MST tiene una relaci\u00f3n de admiraci\u00f3n y respeto por el movimiento zapatista, que se contrapone a un modelo de representaci\u00f3n pol\u00edtica que no responde al inter\u00e9s de la gran masa de la poblaci\u00f3n. El compa\u00f1ero estaba colaborando en la organizaci\u00f3n de la sociedad, no puede ser considerado un criminal. Es un h\u00e9roe&#8221;. El vocero brasile\u00f1o consider\u00f3 necesario &#8220;que la sociedad mexicana haga la distinci\u00f3n entre una acci\u00f3n criminal y la organizaci\u00f3n popular&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Esta ma\u00f1ana, la Plataforma de Solidaridad con Chiapas y Guatemala y el Centro de Documentaci\u00f3n sobre Zapatismo entregaron en la embajada de M\u00e9xico en Espa\u00f1a un escrito para el embajador con el pronunciamiento favorable a la libertad de los dos ind\u00edgenas, emitido en el Foro del Mayo Global que tuvo lugar el fin de semana.<\/p>\n<p>Otras acciones se efectuaron en el Parque del Retiro en Madrid y en Barcelona. En la capital mexicana, colectivos de la otra campa\u00f1a realizaron el domingo un mitin de varias horas en la explanada de Bellas Artes demandando libertad para Patisht\u00e1n, &#8220;preso de conciencia arbitrariamente traslado a un penal de alta seguridad en Guasave, Sinaloa&#8221;, y para Santiz L\u00f3pez, &#8220;detenido e inculpado por ser base de apoyo zapatista&#8221;. Demandaron &#8220;justicia y voz al silencio que tuvo la huelga de hambre y el ayuno que valientemente sostuvieron en 2011 los presos en Chiapas: Pedro L\u00f3pez Jim\u00e9nez, Rosario D\u00edaz M\u00e9ndez, Jos\u00e9 D\u00edaz L\u00f3pez, Alfredo L\u00f3pez Jim\u00e9nez, Alejandro D\u00edaz Santiz y Juan D\u00edaz L\u00f3pez, Andr\u00e9s N\u00fa\u00f1ez Hern\u00e1ndez y Rosa L\u00f3pez D\u00edaz, Juan Collazo Jim\u00e9nez y Enrique G\u00f3mez Hern\u00e1ndez&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Integrantes del grupo Las Abejas, en tanto, declararon este martes en Acteal (Chenalh\u00f3) que &#8220;los gobiernos tratan de desarticular y de sembrar miedo y terror en las organizaciones, movimientos sociales y colectivos independientes que no est\u00e1n de acuerdo con el sistema que se est\u00e1 ejerciendo en M\u00e9xico, y con esa estrategia encarcelaron a Patisht\u00e1n desde 2000, acusado falsamente de participar en el homicidio de siete polic\u00edas&#8221;. Photo: Moys\u00e9s Z\u00fa\u00f1iga Santiago<\/p>\n<p>By: Hermann Bellinghausen,<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.jornada.unam.mx\/2012\/05\/24\/index.php?section=politica&amp;article=025n1pol\" target=\"_blank\">Peri\u00f3dico La Jornada<\/a><\/p>\n<p>San Crist\u00f3bal de Las Casas, Chiapas, May 23, 2012<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf the Mexican government does not want to be judged in international courts for crimes against the population and the popular movements\u201d it must free Professor Alberto Patisht\u00e1n G\u00f3mez and the Zapatista Francisco Santiz L\u00f3pez, \u201cas an immediate matter\u201d, declared Rafael Vilas Boas in the name of the Brazil\u2019s Landless Workers Movement (Movimiento de Trabajadores Sin Tierra de Brasil, MST), at the end of the worldwide week for the freedom of the two indigenous men.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Mexican immigrants from the Movement for Justice in El Barrio, from the Other Campaign in New York, stormed into the General Consulate of Mexico in that city on Monday, with the same demand. Despite the initial refusal to attend to them by consular personnel, who even closed the installations full of \u201ccountrymen\u201d, the Consul finally listened to them and \u201cbehind him a large banner was unfolded that repeated our demand: \u2018justice and freedom for Alberto and Francisco.\u2019\u201d Before a \u201cprofound silence\u201d from the public, \u201cwe echoed the dignified call originating from Chiapas for our two prisoners\u201d, says the New York movement, convoker of the worldwide week.<\/p>\n<p>In the MST\u2019s videotaped message, Vila Boas says that if Patisht\u00e1n remains imprisoned, \u201cit is because he is very competent, the work that he was doing was very good, and not criminal\u201d. He is not \u201can enemy, but a pride for the country\u201d, he adds. \u201cIf Mexico wants to be a democracy it is necessary to free the professor.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>With respect to Santiz L\u00f3pez, he maintains: \u201cThe MST has a relationship of admiration and respect for the Zapatista movement, which is opposed to a model of political representation which is not in the interest of the great mass of the population. The compa\u00f1ero was collaborating in the organization of society, [therefore] he cannot be considered a criminal. He is a hero.\u201d The Brazilian spokesperson considered it necessary \u201cfor Mexican society to make the distinction between a criminal action and grassroots organising\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>This morning, the Platform in Solidarity with Chiapas and Guatemala and the Centre for Documentation on Zapatismo delivered a letter for the Ambassador at the Mexican Embassy in Spain with the pronouncement in favour of the freedom of the two indigenous men, issued at the Global May Forum (Foro del Mayo Global) that took place at the weekend.<\/p>\n<p>Other actions were carried out in the Parque del Retiro in Madrid and in Barcelona.
