NO AL DESALOJO DE LA CASA DE LOS PUEBLOS \u201cSAMIR FLORES SOBERANES\u201d<\/h3>\n

Frente a los recientes actos de represi\u00f3n en contra de la Comunidad Ind\u00edgena Otom\u00ed residente en la Ciudad de M\u00e9xico y el intento de desalojo de la Casa de los Pueblos y Comunidades Ind\u00edgenas \u201cSamir Flores Soberanes\u201d, manifestamos:<\/p>\n
El d\u00eda 16 de octubre de este a\u00f1o, por la madrugada, m\u00e1s de 500 granaderos cercaron la Casa de los Pueblos y las Comunidades Ind\u00edgenas \u201cSamir Flores Soberanes\u201d con la orden de llevar a cabo el desalojo de la Comunidad Otom\u00ed. Este intento de desalojo, dej\u00f3 un saldo de 10 compa\u00f1er@s muy golpeados y herid@s, entre ell@s adolescentes de 13 a\u00f1os, adultos mayores y compa\u00f1er@s con capacidades diferentes.<\/p>\n
La Comunidad Otom\u00ed logr\u00f3 repeler la agresi\u00f3n y hacer que los granaderos retrocedieran, pero el saldo de esta represi\u00f3n es el siguiente: un hombre de 28 a\u00f1os recibi\u00f3 fuertes golpes en el cuerpo y fue herido con un escudo en la frente provocando una lesi\u00f3n profunda que requiri\u00f3 sutura; un adolescente de 17 a\u00f1os fue atacado por un grupo de 5 granaderos quienes lo patearon y golpearon causando inmovilidad de una de sus piernas; una ni\u00f1a de 13 a\u00f1os fue golpeada por 3 granaderos hombres quienes le patearon la cabeza provocando que se desmayara; una adolescente de 18 a\u00f1os fue empujada por un elemento con un escudo, provocando que se cayera, fue jalada del cabello por un elemento masculino, llegaron otros 8 elementos quienes le golpearon las costillas y la espalda, fue pateada repetidas veces, no la quer\u00edan soltar, la insultaron, la jalaron del cabello para levantarla y la golpearon con un escudo en la espalda provocando, dolor en la espalda, costillas, cabeza, brazos, y manos; 2 mujeres de la tercera edad fueron golpeadas y aventadas al piso por varios elementos y una persona que se encontraba documentando la agresi\u00f3n fue atacada por un grupo de al menos 8 elementos, quienes la golpearon esguinz\u00e1ndole un dedo, rompieron uno de los lentes de su c\u00e1mara e intentaron quitarle el equipo de fotograf\u00eda y el tel\u00e9fono celular con el cual se encontraba documentando.<\/p>\n
Peor a\u00fan, y como un verdadero acto de provocaci\u00f3n, casi una hora despu\u00e9s de la represi\u00f3n un grupo de m\u00e1s de 6 motociclistas se acerc\u00f3 a la Casa de los Pueblos para agredir y provocar. Una hora despu\u00e9s los motociclistas regresaron y realizaron tres disparos en contra de los integrantes de la comunidad otom\u00ed, poniendo en en riesgo la vida, no s\u00f3lo de los integrantes de la comunidad, sino de quienes se encontraban en el lugar.<\/p>\n
Estos actos de represi\u00f3n, discriminaci\u00f3n y racismo contra la comunidad ind\u00edgena otom\u00ed se llevaron a cabo tres d\u00edas despu\u00e9s de que \u00e9sta celebr\u00f3 el tercer aniversario de la toma de las oficinas del INPI, hoy Casa de los Pueblos y Comunidades Ind\u00edgenas \u201cSamir Flores Soberanes\u201d.<\/p>\n
Es lamentable que a m\u00e1s de tres a\u00f1os de la toma INPI, la exigencia de una \u201cvivienda digna y decorosa\u201d siga sin atenderse como hace 3 a\u00f1os, pero tambien como hace 30 a\u00f1os. No importa el color del gobierno en turno, la indiferencia y el desprecio sigue siendo los mismos.<\/p>\n
A casi veinte d\u00edas de iniciado el bloqueo que la Comunidad Ind\u00edgena Otom\u00ed tiene sobre la avenida M\u00e9xico-Coyoac\u00e1n, y despu\u00e9s de la cruenta represi\u00f3n del pasado 16 de octubre, la respuesta del gobierno de la Ciudad de M\u00e9xico es un ominoso silencio que nos lleva a pensar en la muy alta probabilidad de que en cualquier momento el gobierno intente nuevamente el desalojo y la represi\u00f3n hacia la Comunidad Otom\u00ed . En consecuencia con lo anterior exigimos el cese de la represi\u00f3n y de cualquier pretensi\u00f3n de desalojo de nuestrxs hermanxs integrantes de la Comunidad Otom\u00ed.<\/p>\n

STOP THE REPRESSION AGAINST THE OTOM\u00cd INDIGENOUS COMMUNITY RESIDING IN MEXICO CITY<\/h4>\nNO TO THE EVICTION OF THE HOUSE OF THE PEOPLE \u201cSAMIR FLORES SOBERANES\u201d<\/h4>\n
To the people of Mexico and the world,

\nTo the media.<\/p>\n
In response to the recent acts of repression against the Otom\u00ed Indigenous Community residing in Mexico City and the attempted eviction of the \u201cSamir Flores Soberanes\u201d House of Indigenous Peoples and Communities, we declare:<\/p>\n
On the 16th<\/sup> of October, this year, at dawn, more than 500 grenadiers surrounded the House of Indigenous Peoples and Communities \u201cSamir Flores Soberanes\u201d with the order to carry out the eviction of the Otom\u00ed Community. This attempted eviction left 10 companions badly beaten and injured, including 13-year-old adolescents, older adults, and companions with different abilities.<\/p>\n The Otom\u00ed Community managed to repel the aggression and make the grenadiers retreat, but the result of this repression is the following: a 28-year-old man received strong blows to the body and was injured with a shield in his forehead, causing a deep injury that required suture; a 17-year-old teenager was attacked by a group of 5 grenadiers who kicked and hit him, causing immobility of one of his legs; a 13-year-old girl was beaten by 3 male grenadiers who kicked her head causing her to faint; an 18-year-old teenager was pushed by an element with a shield, causing her to fall, she was pulled by her hair by a male element, 8 other elements arrived who hit her ribs and back, she was kicked repeatedly, they did not want to let her go, they insulted her, pulled her hair to lift her up, and hit her with a shield on her back, causing pain in her back, ribs, head, arms, and hands; 2 elderly women were beaten and thrown to the floor by several elements and a person who was documenting the attack was attacked by a group of at least 8 elements, who beat her, sprained her finger, and broke one of the lenses of her camera and tried to take away his photography equipment and the cell phone with which she was documenting.<\/p>\n Worse still, and as a true act of provocation, almost an hour after the repression a group of more than 6 motorcyclists approached the House of Peoples to attack and provoke. An hour later, the motorcyclists returned and fired three shots at the members of the Otomi community, not only putting at risk the lives of the members of the Otom\u00ed community, but also of those who were in the vicinity.<\/p>\n These acts of repression, discrimination and racism against the Otom\u00ed indigenous community took place three days after they celebrated the third anniversary of the occupation of the INPI offices, today named the \u201cSamir Flores Soberanes\u201d House of Indigenous Peoples and Communities.<\/p>\n It is regrettable that more than three years after the INPI occupation, the demand for \u201cdecent and decorous housing\u201d continues to be ignored just as it was 3 years ago, but also as it was 30 years ago. No matter the color of the government in power, the indifference and contempt remains the same.<\/p>\n Almost twenty days after the Otom\u00ed Indigenous Community began the blockade on Mexico-Coyoac\u00e1n Avenue, and after the bloody repression of last October 16, the response of the government of Mexico City is an ominous silence that leads us to think about the very high probability that at any moment the government will try again to evict and repress the Otom\u00ed Community.
