\nSe agrava la situaci\u00f3n de las defensoras y defensores de derechos humanos en M\u00e9xico, a pesar de que las y los defensores de derechos humanos realizan un valioso aporte al fortalecimiento de un Estado democr\u00e1tico, desempe\u00f1an su labor en un contexto adverso, no exento de riesgos y en el que el andamiaje institucional, particularmente en el nivel local, no ha logrado a\u00fan generar las condiciones adecuadas para garantizar su protecci\u00f3n y potenciar su trabajo. <\/p>\n
Uno de los principales desaf\u00edos que enfrentan las y los defensores consiste en ejercer su labor en un contexto en el que no se reconoce plenamente la legitimidad de su labor. Por el contrario, tienen que enfrentar un conjunto de prejuicios que ocasiones son compartidos por las autoridades e, inclusive, difundidos a trav\u00e9s de los medios de comunicaci\u00f3n. <\/p>\n
El ejercicio de la defensa de los derechos humanos en M\u00e9xico es sumamente peligrosa y aun no existen los mecanismos, la voluntad del estado mexicano para garantizar la defensa de los derechos humanos en nuestro pa\u00eds. <\/p>\n
El asesinato, amenazas, hostigamiento, encarcelamiento son a los que se enfrentan todos los d\u00edas las defensoras y defensores de derechos, en Chiapas la situaci\u00f3n a llegado a niveles insostenibles al grado de encarcelar al director del Centro de Derechos Humanos Digna Ochoa, Nataniel Hern\u00e1ndez N\u00fa\u00f1ez, quienes realizan su trabajo en la costa de Chiapas y dan acompa\u00f1amiento a la Organizaci\u00f3n Consejo Aut\u00f3nomo de la Costa. <\/p>\n
En estos momentos el defensor de derechos humanos Nataniel se encuentra exiliando del estado por las amenazas del gobierno federal y estatal de encarcelarlo nuevamente, desde su exilio Nataniel Hern\u00e1ndez nos explica de sus situaci\u00f3n actual, el hostigamiento al Centro de derechos Humanos Digna Ochoa y la persecuci\u00f3n al Consejo Aut\u00f3nomo de la Costa.<\/p>\n
\nThe situation of human rights defenders in Mexico worsens. Even though human rights defenders make a significant contribution strengthen the democratic state, they work in a difficult, risky context in which public institutions, especially at the local level, have not been able to generate adequate conditions to guarantee their protection and empower their work.<\/p>\n
One of the main challenges faced by human rights defenders is the fact that they work in a context where the legitimacy of their efforts is not fully recognized. On the contrary, they have to face a number of prejudices that are often shared by the authorities and even promoted through the media.<\/p>\n
Defending human rights in Mexico is an extremely dangerous activity, and there are no mechanisms nor will from the Mexican state to guarantee the defense of human rights in our country.<\/p>\n
Human rights defenders face murder, threats, harassment, and imprisonment every day. In Chiapas, the situation has reached untenable levels, as exemplified by the imprisonment of the director of the Digna Ochoa Human Rights Center, Nataniel Hern\u00e1ndez N\u00fa\u00f1ez. The Center works in the coast of Chiapas and supports the Autonomous Council of the Coast of Chiapas. <\/p>\n
The human rights defender Nataniel Hern\u00e1ndez is currently exiled from the state due to threats by the federal and state governments of imprisoning him once again. From exile, Nataniel Hern\u00e1ndez explains his current situation and talks about the harassment suffered by the Digna Ochoa Human Rights Center and the persecution against the Autonomous Council of the Coast.
