Por qu\u00e9 S\u00ed a la Consulta y S\u00ed a la pregunta.<\/strong><\/p>\n Julio del 2021.<\/p>\n RESUMEN: Se llama a participar en la Consulta pensando en las v\u00edctimas.\u00a0 Ir a la casilla.\u00a0 Se sugiere que, si le cae mal el Supremo o desconf\u00eda, y con raz\u00f3n, de que su participaci\u00f3n sea usada para legitimar a los de all\u00e1 arriba \u2013o sea un ensayo para una consulta posterior sobre la extensi\u00f3n del mandato del ejecutivo-, o que es un desperdicio (uno m\u00e1s) de paga, o que lo que quiere el Supremo es negociar con sus ex\u00b4s para que le bajen una raya a su mala vibra, o es pura y simple demagogia, entonces no vaya a una casilla.\u00a0 En lugar de eso se le propone que escriba una carta, individual o colectiva, y que la haga llegar a una organizaci\u00f3n de v\u00edctimas, dici\u00e9ndoles que respeta su dolor y que les apoya en sus demandas de verdad y justicia.\u00a0 O una columna period\u00edstica, un tuit,<\/em> un comentario en su blog, en su noticiero, en su facebook<\/em>, en instagram<\/em>, en donde sea.\u00a0 O una pintura, una canci\u00f3n, un mural, un poema, un discurso, una sonata, una pirouette<\/em>, una figura, una obra de teatro, un arte.\u00a0 O un art\u00edculo de an\u00e1lisis, un coloquio, una c\u00e1tedra, una conferencia, un semillero.\u00a0 O lo que se le ocurra.\u00a0 Es m\u00e1s, para que quede clara su inconformidad, h\u00e1galo de forma extempor\u00e1nea, o sea uno o varios d\u00edas despu\u00e9s del 1 de agosto y siga en lo que resta del a\u00f1o y los a\u00f1os subsiguientes.\u00a0 Se le insiste en que se organice porque, acaso sin saberlo, usted forma parte de las futuras y probables v\u00edctimas de \u201clas decisiones pol\u00edticas tomadas en a\u00f1os presentes y venideros<\/em><\/strong> por los actores pol\u00edticos\u201d del Estado Mexicano.\u00a0 Es eso o resignarse a que, cuando usted sea la v\u00edctima, el \u201cactor pol\u00edtico\u201d responsable de evitar que eso le ocurriera, de investigar, perseguir y castigar a \u00e9l o los culpables, declare que usted \u201cse lo busc\u00f3\u201d, que condena el hecho y, claro, que se investigar\u00e1 \u201chasta las \u00faltimas consecuencias y caiga quien caiga\u201d \u2013mientras su nombre de usted y su historia personal, pasan a ser un n\u00famero en una estad\u00edstica-.<\/p>\n -*-<\/strong><\/p>\n Primero<\/strong>.- Los pueblos zapatistas participar\u00e1n, de forma extempor\u00e1nea, en la llamada \u201cConsulta Popular\u201d, siguiendo los usos y costumbres de los originarios, con asambleas comunitarias.\u00a0 El resultado se le har\u00e1 llegar a las organizaciones de v\u00edctimas de la violencia, de b\u00fasqueda de desaparecidos y de presos de conciencia.\u00a0 Quienes tienen credencial del INE (de hecho s\u00f3lo un@s poc@s) asistir\u00e1n a una casilla.\u00a0 Llamamos ESPECIALMENTE a los pueblos originarios hermanos, organizados en el Congreso Nacional Ind\u00edgena-Concejo Ind\u00edgena de Gobierno<\/strong> a que, siguiendo sus tiempos y modos, participen tambi\u00e9n, sin perder de vista a las v\u00edctimas, y teniendo presentes a todos los hermanos asesinados y comunidades que han sido v\u00edctimas de las decisiones de los de arriba de antes y de ahora, as\u00ed como la larga historia de despojos, de enga\u00f1os, de burlas y desprecios, de destrucci\u00f3n de territorios y desaparici\u00f3n de lenguas y culturas originarias.<\/p>\n Segundo<\/strong>: La pregunta a consultar no trata de los ex presidentes, o no s\u00f3lo.\u00a0 Sino de todos los actores pol\u00edticos: ejecutivos federales y sus gabinetes legales y ampliados; gobiernos estatales y municipales; diputados locales y federales; senadores; jueces y todo el aparato de justicia; organismos descentralizados; organismos aut\u00f3nomos (como el IFE antes y despu\u00e9s el INE); ej\u00e9rcito, fuerza a\u00e9rea y marina; polic\u00edas federales, estatales y municipales.<\/p>\n Tampoco trata de juzgar ni condenar a nadie.\u00a0 Trata de los derechos de las v\u00edctimas, de su derecho a la justicia y a la verdad.<\/p>\n Su derecho a saber por qu\u00e9 se decidieron tales acciones u omisiones, con cu\u00e1les leyes se les dio sustento legal.\u00a0 Y qui\u00e9nes fueron o son los responsables o irresponsables, desde el m\u00e1s alto, hasta el m\u00e1s bajo nivel.\u00a0 Eso ser\u00eda la verdad y su consecuencia ser\u00eda la justicia.<\/p>\n No est\u00e1n a consulta ni la una ni la otra.\u00a0 Se consulta si estamos de acuerdo en apoyar a las v\u00edctimas que reclaman saber qu\u00e9 pas\u00f3, por qu\u00e9, y qui\u00e9n; y demandan justicia.<\/p>\n Cuando se pone como per\u00edodo temporal \u201clos a\u00f1os pasados\u201d, se deduce que incluye hasta el 31 de diciembre del 2020.\u00a0 Y si los meses de enero a julio del 2021 son \u201cpasados\u201d, pues tambi\u00e9n.<\/p>\n Si de esas exigencias de Verdad y Justicia se sigue algo m\u00e1s que no sea simulaci\u00f3n, depende de las v\u00edctimas, sus familiares y de quienes les apoyan.<\/p>\n Tercero<\/strong>.- Los<\/strong> riesgos<\/strong>.\u00a0 S\u00ed, es m\u00e1s que probable que, tanto el oficialismo como la \u201coposici\u00f3n\u201d en M\u00e9xico, usen la participaci\u00f3n en la consulta y el resultado.\u00a0 Sea como una forma de legitimar su pol\u00edtica gubernamental, sea como un argumento para esconder sus culpas y evadir la justicia.\u00a0 Tanto el n\u00famero de participantes \u201ccontempor\u00e1neos\u201d, como las respuestas, pueden ser secuestrados por uno y otro lado.\u00a0 Pero eso durar\u00e1 apenas un tiempo.<\/p>\n Lo que a nosotros nos importa es que las v\u00edctimas se sientan acompa\u00f1adas y animadas en su doloroso caminar.\u00a0 Pero su paso, su ritmo, su velocidad, su compa\u00f1\u00eda y su destino, corresponde a ellas y s\u00f3lo a ellas decidirlo.<\/p>\n S\u00ed, est\u00e1 tambi\u00e9n el riesgo de que el oficialismo use esa consulta popular para avalar las \u201cconsultas\u201d falsas con las que ha cubierto el car\u00e1cter depredador de sus megaproyectos<\/em> en los territorios de los originarios.\u00a0 Bueno, esas \u201cconsultas\u201d no lo fueron.\u00a0 Fueron acarreos desvergonzados y con rid\u00edculos resultados.\u00a0 Se chantaje\u00f3 y se pag\u00f3 por el acuerdo y, aun as\u00ed, fracasaron en lo que a participaci\u00f3n se refiere.\u00a0 No fueron previas, ni informadas, ni libres, ni de acuerdo a los modos y tiempos de los pueblos originarios.\u00a0 Pero, en el caso de que alg\u00fan d\u00eda se hicieran consultas a los pueblos originarios, se informaran bien los pros y los contras, fueran ANTES de que se implementaran los megaproyectos<\/em>, participaran TODOS los afectados, etc., y ganara la propuesta de destrucci\u00f3n de la naturaleza y el aniquilamiento de los pueblos originarios como tales, pues la conclusi\u00f3n ser\u00eda que falt\u00f3 trabajo de explicaci\u00f3n y convencimiento, y habr\u00eda que seguir insistiendo.\u00a0 \u00bfY mientras tanto?\u00a0 Resistencia y Rebeld\u00eda.<\/p>\n Claro, esta consulta tambi\u00e9n puede ser una mascarada\u2026 si no la volvemos inoportuna, impropia, inconveniente, \u201cextempor\u00e1nea\u201d.\u00a0 Es decir, si no la convertimos en algo m\u00e1s.\u00a0 Aunque habr\u00eda que, primero, sustraerse de lo que dicen y disputan all\u00e1 arriba; y luego seguir con encuentros, foros, festivales, apoyos para las v\u00edctimas.\u00a0 Una campa\u00f1a nacional por la verdad y la justicia<\/strong>.\u00a0 En suma \u201cacompa\u00f1amiento\u201d, no \u201cdirecci\u00f3n\u201d.<\/p>\n Cuarto.-<\/strong> \u00bfNo ser\u00eda bueno que las Madres Buscadoras de Desaparecidos en Sonora, las Rastreadoras de El Fuerte, Sinaloa, las madres de los Yaquis secuestrados, los desplazados de Pantelh\u00f3, las familias de desaparecidos en Guerrero, Guanajuato, Veracruz, Baja California Sur, Quer\u00e9taro, Jalisco, Coahuila, Morelos y casi cualquier estado de la Rep\u00fablica Mexicana, as\u00ed como los familiares de los migrantes inmolados en M\u00e9xico, los familiares de los desaparecidos de Ayotzinapa, se encontraran con\u2026<\/p>\n \u2026 los familiares de las v\u00edctimas de la guerra sucia, con las familias de los infantes con c\u00e1ncer y sin medicinas, con las mujeres agredidas en Atenco, con los movimientos feministas que luchan contra los feminicidios y la violencia contra las mujeres, con l@s defensor@s de la comunidad LGBTTTIQ+, con las familias de la Guarder\u00eda ABC, con los familiares de los muertos en la l\u00ednea 12 del metro de la Ciudad de M\u00e9xico,\u2026<\/p>\n \u2026 con los familiares de Samir Flores Soberanes y con quienes se organizan para resistir a la Termoel\u00e9ctrica en Morelos, con las comunidades que resisten al despojo y la destrucci\u00f3n que significan el mal llamado \u201cTren Maya\u201d, el Corredor Trans\u00edstmico<\/em>, el aeropuerto de Santa Luc\u00eda, la miner\u00eda abierta y cerrada, con las organizaciones por presos y desaparecidos pol\u00edticos, con las Abejas de Acteal, con los sobrevivientes de El Charco, con los cercanos a Tom\u00e1s Rojo y a Sim\u00f3n Pedro, y con tantos dolores organizados y no?<\/p>\n Piense usted en esa persona que se encuentra sola, buscando a su ser querido sin m\u00e1s fuerzas que las del vientre y del coraz\u00f3n, y, adem\u00e1s, debe soportar las burlas y los desprecios de otras, otros que le dicen \u201cse lo merec\u00eda\u201d, \u201candaba en malos pasos\u201d, \u201cte quejas porque eres parte de la mafia del poder\u201d, \u201ces tu culpa porque no le educaste bien\u201d.<\/p>\n Y que ni siquiera le dejan responder: \u201cmi hija fue por un mandado a la esquina y ya no regres\u00f3\u201d, o \u201cfue a una fiesta\u201d, o \u201cmi ni\u00f1a ten\u00eda menos de 10 a\u00f1os\u201d, o \u201cmi marido ven\u00eda del trabajo y lo mataron dos veces: una con balas, la otra con las mentiras de que era delincuente\u201d, o \u201cen lugar de recibir una foto de mi hija, hijo, gradu\u00e1ndose, me entregaron el resultado de una prueba de ADN y un pedazo de hueso envuelto en una tira de la ropa que llevaba ese d\u00eda, esa tarde, esa noche que, desde entonces, no cesa\u201d.<\/p>\n O ni eso: el no lugar, ni viva ni muerta: desaparecida.<\/p>\n \u00bfNo sabr\u00e1 as\u00ed que no est\u00e1 sola?\u00a0 \u00bfNo ser\u00e1 que as\u00ed descubre que no s\u00f3lo no es la \u00fanica en el dolor, tambi\u00e9n que hay otras que buscan verdad y justicia?<\/p>\n \u00bfNo descubrir\u00e1, as\u00ed, lo mismo que nosotros los pueblos zapatistas? \u00a0A saber: que los dolores no se suman, sino que se multiplican cuando se encuentran.<\/p>\n El peligro no ser\u00e1 si el oficialismo o la oposici\u00f3n usan esos encuentros en su beneficio.\u00a0 Sino que no se respete ese dolor ya organizado y se pretenda dirigirlo a otro lado que no sea alcanzar la verdad y la justicia que todo ser humano, independientemente de su raza, color, cultura, credo, g\u00e9nero, orientaci\u00f3n o preferencia sexual, filiaci\u00f3n o ideolog\u00eda pol\u00edtica, clase social, merece y necesita.<\/p>\n Porque no basta conformarse con lamentar un nuevo asesinato, una nueva desaparici\u00f3n, una nueva fosa com\u00fan con huesos y jirones de ropa.\u00a0 No basta con denuncias p\u00fablicas que son sofocadas por el esc\u00e1ndalo de moda.\u00a0 No basta con una estad\u00edstica, un n\u00famero, un olvido.<\/p>\n Esa mujer merece saber la verdad.\u00a0 Qu\u00e9 pas\u00f3 con su cr\u00eda y por qu\u00e9.\u00a0 Y merece, no s\u00f3lo que se le acompa\u00f1e en esa b\u00fasqueda de verdad.\u00a0 Tambi\u00e9n en la exigencia de que los responsables de esos cr\u00edmenes reciban su castigo.<\/p>\n Esta geograf\u00eda llamada \u201cM\u00e9xico\u201d merece conocer la verdad de lo que pas\u00f3 y pasa.\u00a0 Y merece justicia.\u00a0 Sean \u00abchairos\u00bb o \u00abfif\u00eds\u00bb, neoliberales o neoconservadores, pro4T o anti4T, o la dicotom\u00eda que se les ocurra.<\/p>\n Pero no obstante: si usted decide que no, que no sirve para nada bueno participar en esta otra consulta, pues tal vez significa que usted est\u00e1 haciendo algo m\u00e1s y mejor.<\/p>\n Quinto.- La clase media y la Consulta.<\/strong> \u00a0Como originario que soy de la clase media, s\u00e9 que nos catalogan y encasillan seg\u00fan los intereses de arriba.\u00a0 Tanto nos clasifican como clase media que parecemos llaves espa\u00f1olas: hay quince dieciseisavos, un cuarto, tres octavos, diecinueve treintaidosavos, cuarto para las seis-dios-m\u00edo-qu\u00e9-tarde-es, media clase media-media \u2013lo que ya es el colmo-, y as\u00ed.\u00a0 \u201c\u00bfYa viste a \u00e9sa que se cree muy de trece dieciseisavos y ni a tres octavos llega, la pobre?\u2026 y \u00e9se otro, que de la noche a la ma\u00f1ana subi\u00f3 casi cincuenta sesentaidosavos, de seguro anda de narco\u2026 o, peor, de pol\u00edtico<\/em>\u201d.<\/p>\n O como nos clasifican los ortodoxos: peque\u00f1o burgueses.\u00a0 Y aqu\u00ed entra un sistema parecido: nano burgu\u00e9s, micro burgu\u00e9s, mini burgu\u00e9s, burgu\u00e9s cuasi-peque\u00f1o, peque\u00f1o burgu\u00e9s propiamente dicho, burgu\u00e9s en proceso de desarrollo, y burgu\u00e9s entre azul y medias noches\u2026 s\u00ed, el hot dog<\/em> sin mayonesa, por favor.\u00a0 Yo, por ejemplo, ni a eso llego: apenas soy un \u201cpequeb\u00fa<\/em>\u201d.\u00a0 Pero, como dir\u00eda el finado: \u201ctodo depende de la marca y modelo del celular con el que te tomas la selfie<\/em>\u201d.<\/p>\n Tambi\u00e9n se nos achacan los fracasos y desviaciones de las diversas opciones pol\u00edticas del espectro ideol\u00f3gico, y ninguno de sus logros.<\/p>\n Entiendo y, no pocas veces, comparto la irritaci\u00f3n e indignaci\u00f3n por los dimes y diretes que salen de la letrina de all\u00e1 arriba, por los insultos mal disimulados, y por los ataques de personas que, siendo de la clase media, ahora se autodenominan \u201cvanguardia\u201d del pueblo e \u201ciluminados\u201d que gu\u00edan y conducen el reba\u00f1o.\u00a0 Y que, como tales, desprecian el conocimiento, la inteligencia, la creatividad, el ingenio\u2026 y el sentido del humor.\u00a0 Adem\u00e1s de pretender que las ciencias y las artes militen en su opci\u00f3n pol\u00edtica\u2026 o no son ciencias ni artes.\u00a0 De hecho, mi primera reacci\u00f3n fue resumir nuestra posici\u00f3n as\u00ed: \u201cDel gobierno que hace rifas que no son rifas y trenes mayas que no son mayas, ahora: la consulta que no es consulta. \u00a1Mejor organ\u00edzate!\u201d.<\/p>\n Pero tambi\u00e9n acecha la oposici\u00f3n idiota y c\u00ednica.\u00a0 Las repentinas \u201ctomas de conciencia\u201d de los ex gobernantes criminales que, despreciando la memoria, ahora son paladines de la defensa de los derechos humanos, de las comunidades originarias, del medio ambiente, y que critican las pol\u00edticas econ\u00f3micas gubernamentales despu\u00e9s de que se hartaron de robar y despojar.\u00a0 La supuesta \u201coposici\u00f3n\u201d, incapaz de presumir ning\u00fan logro, apuesta todo a los errores y disparates del oficialismo \u2013que no son pocos-.\u00a0 Y, claro, apuestan al olvido, a la memoria sepultada por el griter\u00edo en las redes sociales, las columnas de opini\u00f3n y el manejo perverso de la informaci\u00f3n.\u00a0 Porque las mal llamadas \u201cfake news<\/em>\u201d no son s\u00f3lo noticias falsas, son la manipulaci\u00f3n de una informaci\u00f3n.\u00a0 La alquimia que las convierte, no en cre\u00edbles, sino en digeribles.\u00a0 Y, sobre todo, en la munici\u00f3n para los \u201cheroicos\u201d combates en las redes sociales y los medios de comunicaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n Y puede ser que, por desesperaci\u00f3n, se elija uno u otro bando.<\/p>\n Pero, si usted logra sustraerse de esa maldici\u00f3n, aunque sea por un momento, dirija su mirada a las v\u00edctimas.<\/p>\n Si usted no es una de las v\u00edctimas, una m\u00e1s, y no ha formado una polic\u00eda comunitaria, bueno, pues las probabilidades le est\u00e1n acosando y bien har\u00eda en prepararse.<\/p>\n Si no lo hace por empat\u00eda y sensibilidad humana, al menos h\u00e1galo por aquello de \u201choy por ti, ma\u00f1ana por m\u00ed\u201d.<\/p>\n Las estad\u00edsticas de criminalidad pueden servir, cierto, para criticar una pol\u00edtica de gobierno; pero son sobre todo una advertencia: \u201csigues t\u00fa<\/strong>\u201d.<\/p>\n Organ\u00edcese.\u00a0 En esta geograf\u00eda llamada M\u00e9xico bien podr\u00eda nacer una organizaci\u00f3n de futuras y probables v\u00edctimas de \u201clas decisiones pol\u00edticas tomadas por los actores pol\u00edticos\u201d.<\/p>\n Sexto<\/strong>.- Participe en la llamada Consulta Popular. \u00a0Si no quiere que su sentir sea usado por unos u otros, no vaya a la casilla.\u00a0 Grite, raye, pinte, cante, baile, haga gestos, guarde silencio, camine, corra, qu\u00e9dese quieto.\u00a0 Usted decida qu\u00e9 y h\u00e1gaselo saber a las v\u00edctimas.\u00a0 Y h\u00e1galo despu\u00e9s del 1 de agosto\u2026 todo el a\u00f1o y los a\u00f1os que siguen.<\/p>\n O p\u00f3ngase de acuerdo con otros, otras, otroas<\/em>, y analicen, discutan, debatan.\u00a0 Si quieren, escriban, en una especie de acta o carta com\u00fan, su decisi\u00f3n un\u00e1nime o dividida, y m\u00e1ndenle a alguna organizaci\u00f3n de familiares de v\u00edctimas (dudo que no tengan una en su geograf\u00eda).\u00a0 Recuerde que el INE no hace conteo de sentimientos, solidaridades, hermandades, demandas de verdad y justicia.<\/p>\n Y no importa su edad, ni si es extempor\u00e1nea o contempor\u00e1neo, si est\u00e1 arriba, abajo o en medio, si es \u00abchairo\u00bb o \u00abfif\u00ed\u00bb, si le gustan las cumbias o el rock, si ve anime o rancheras, si es hetero<\/em> o \u201cultimadamente a ti qu\u00e9 te importa lo que sea o no sea\u201d.<\/p>\n No lo haga porque apoya al gobierno o porque se le opone.\u00a0 H\u00e1galo aunque s\u00f3lo sea para decirle a esa mujer que llora la ausencia de su pareja, su cr\u00eda, su hermana, su madre, su pariente, su conocida, su amiga, su compa\u00f1era, su amor, que su tenaz b\u00fasqueda de verdad y justicia, su empe\u00f1o, su dolor, su pesadilla, no le pasan desapercibidos a usted.<\/p>\n H\u00e1galo porque tal vez, debajo de clasificaciones, banderas, escudos y consignas, usted es un ser humano.<\/p>\n Desde las monta\u00f1as del Sureste Mexicano.<\/p>\n SupGaleano. It is suggested that if you dislike or distrust the Supreme, and rightly so, and think that your participation would be used to legitimize those from above, or that that it is a rehearsal for a later consultation which would extend the mandate of the executive, or that is a waste (yet one more) of pay, or that what the Supreme wants is to negotiate with the exes to bring down the bad vibes a notch, or it is demagoguery pure and simple, then don\u2019t go to the polls.<\/p>\n Instead of this, it is proposed that you write a letter, either individual or collective and that you send it off to an organization of victims, telling them that you honor their pain and that you support them in their demands for truth and justice. Or a newspaper column, a tweet, a comment on your blog, in your newsletter, on your facebook, instagram, or wherever. Or a painting, a song, a mural, a poem, a speech, a sonata, a pirouette, a figure, a play, some art. Or an article of analysis, a colloquium, a lecture, a conference, a seedbed. Or whatever occurs to you. And even more, to make your non-conformity clear, do it extemporaneously, say one or several days after August 1st, and continue it for the rest of the year and the following years. It is stressed that you must get organized because, without even knowing it, you make up part of the future and probable victims of \u201cthe political decisions made in the present and coming years by political actors\u201d of the Mexican State. It is that or resign yourself to the fact that when you are the victim, the \u201cpolitical actor\u201d responsible for preventing this from happening to you, of investigating, pursuing, and punishing the guilty parties, declares the you \u201casked for it,\u201d that he condemns the act and of course, it will be investigated \u201cto the ultimate consequences, regardless of who falls\u201d \u2014 as your name, and your personal story, pass into a number and a statistic.<\/p>\n -*-<\/p>\n First: The Zapatista communities will participate extemporaneously in the so-called \u201cPopular Consultation,\u201d following the usos y costumbres of the indigenous peoples, with community assemblies. But rather all of the political actors \u2014 federal executives and their legal and extended cabinets; state and municipal governments; federal and local deputies, senators; judges and the entire justice apparatus; decentralized agencies, autonomous agencies (formerly the IFE and now the INE, the National Electoral Institute); the Army, Air Force and Navy; federal, state and municipal police.<\/p>\n Nor is it about judging or condemning anyone. It is about the rights of the victims, their right to justice and to truth.<\/p>\n Their right to know why such actions and omissions were decided upon, which laws provided them with legal support. And if the months of January to July of 2021 are \u201cpast,\u201d well, that also.<\/p>\n Whether anything more than a simulation follows from these demands for Truth and Justice, will depend on the victims, their families and those that support them.<\/p>\n Third: the Risks. Yes, it is more than likely that both the government as well as the \u201copposition,\u201d use the participation in the consultation and the result. Either as a way of legitimizing its government policy, or as a plot to hide their guilt and evade justice. Could it be that this is how she discovers that not only is she not the only one in pain, but that there are others who seek truth and justice?<\/p>\n Won\u2019t she discover, in this way, the same that we, the Zapatista communities have? Namely: sorrows do not add up, but rather multiply when they meet.<\/p>\n The danger will not be that the government or the opposition uses these meetings to their advantage. Rather, it will be if this already organized pain is not respected and that they try to direct it in a way other than to achieve the truth and justice that every human being, independent of their race, color, culture, creed, gender, sexual orientation or preference, political affiliation or ideology, or social class, deserves and needs.<\/p>\n Because it is not enough to settle for mourning a new murder, a new disappearance, a new mass grave with bones and shreds of clothing. Public complaints suffocated by the scandal of the day are not enough. A statistic, a number, an omission is not enough.<\/p>\n That woman deserves to know the truth. What happened to her child and why. And she deserves not only to be accompanied in this search for truth. But also in the demand that those responsible for those crimes receive their punishment.<\/p>\n This geography called \u201cMexico\u201d deserves to know the truth about what happened and is happening. And it deserves justice. In fact, my first reaction was to summarize our position like this: \u00abFrom the government that holds raffles that are not raffles and Mayan trains that are not Mayan, now \u2014 the consultation that is not a consultation. You\u2019d better get organized!\u00bb<\/p>\n But the idiotic and cynical opposition is also lurking. The sudden \u201crealizations\u201d of the former ruling criminals who, disparaging memory, now are champions of defense of human rights, of the indigenous communities, of the environment, and who criticize the government economic policies after they have had their fill of pillage and plunder. The supposed \u201copposition,\u201d incapable of boasting any achievement, bets it all on the mistakes and follies of the government, which are not few. And of course, they bet on oblivion, on memory buried by the screaming on social media, the opinion columns, and the perverse management of information. Because the misnamed \u201cfake news\u201d is not only false news, it is the manipulation of information. The alchemy that makes them not credible, but digestible. And more than anything, into ammunition for the \u201cheroic\u201d combat on the social networks and the media.<\/p>\n And it could be that out of desperation, you elect one side or another.<\/p>\n But, if you manage to escape from that curse, even for a moment, direct your gaze at the victims.<\/p>\n If you are not one of the victims, just one more, and you haven\u2019t formed a community police force, well, the odds are stacked against you and you would do well to prepare yourself.<\/p>\n If you don\u2019t do it out of empathy and human sensitivity, at least do it for the sake of \u201ctoday for you, tomorrow for me.\u201d<\/p>\n Crime statistics might serve, certainly, to criticize a government policy; but more than anything they are a warning: \u201cyou\u2019re next.\u201d<\/p>\n Get organized. In this geography called Mexico, there could well be an organization of future and probable victims of \u201cpolitical decisions made by political actors\u201d that is born.<\/p>\n Sixth: Participate in the so-called Popular Consultation. If you don\u2019t want your feelings to be used by one or another, don\u2019t go to the polls. Shout, scratch, paint, sing, make gestures, be silent, walk, run, stand still. You decide what and let the victims know. And do it after the 1st of August\u2026all year long and for the years to come.<\/p>\n Or get together with others, and analize, discuss, and debate. If you want, write down in some kind of minutes or common letter, your unanimous or divided decision, and send it to an organization of families of victims. Remember that the INE does not count feelings, solidarities, brotherhoods or demands for truth and justice.<\/p>\n And your age doesn\u2019t matter, whether you are extemporaneous or contemporary, if you are above, below, or in the middle, if you are \u201cchairo\u201d or \u201cfifi,\u201d if you like cumbia or rock, if you watch anime or westerns, if you are hetero o \u201cultimately what does it matter to you what I am or am not.\u201d<\/p>\n Don\u2019t do it because you support the government or because you oppose it.
