Ni\u00f1os, ancianos, mujeres, en fin, la comunidad entera padece de enfermedades respiratorias y alergias generadas por estas industrias que no s\u00f2lo atentan contra su salud, sino que muestran que la riqueza de algunos (en este caso los empresarios, en contubernio con autoridades locales) se construye a base del sufrimiento de otros. Sin embargo, estos otros ahora se han organizado y juntos luchan por una vida digna y un medio ambiente saludable para todos y todas.[podcast]https:\/\/radiozapatista.org\/Audios\/Protesta_contra_ecosidio_en_San_Cristobal.MP3[\/podcast]<\/p>\n<p><!--:--><!--:en-->The population of Las Peras and the Hutitepec Alcanfores neighbourhood in San Crist\u00f3bal de Las Casas, and Cahuar\u00e9 in Chiapa de Corzo, Tuxtla, have decided to unite their struggle against environmental degredation and pollution created by extractive industries. Children, old people, women &#8211; in other words the whole community- are suffering from respiratory illnesses and allergies. These are the result of industrial activities which affect the community\u00b4s health at the same time as making others rich (in this case, business-owners working hand in glove with the local authorities) on the back of the suffering of others.
