Dos oradores del Congreso Nacional Ind\u00edgena de M\u00e9xico (CNI), Carlos Gonz\u00e1lez, un abogado agrario que ha representado a comunidades en resistencia y en defensa de sus territorios, y Bettina Cruz, defensora de derechos humanos y la tierra y miembro del Consejo de Gobierno Ind\u00edgena CNI de Juchit\u00e1n, Oaxaca, discutir\u00e1n la situaci\u00f3n actual y la lucha de las comunidades organizadas en el CNI. Abordar\u00e1n cuestiones relacionadas con:<\/p>\n

-Qu\u00e9 es el CNI y c\u00f3mo luchan y se organizan sus comunidades.<\/p>\n

-C\u00f3mo la pandemia de covid afecta a las comunidades ind\u00edgenas en M\u00e9xico.<\/p>\n

-C\u00f3mo las ruedas del neoliberalismo no se han detenido en M\u00e9xico durante la pandemia.<\/p>\n

-Cu\u00e1l es la perspectiva del CNI del nuevo acuerdo comercial impuesto por la administraci\u00f3n Trump a M\u00e9xico (T-MEC)<\/p>\n

Adem\u00e1s, discutiremos la relevancia de las luchas del CNI desde una perspectiva zapatista para las luchas en los Estados Unidos.<\/p>\n

The conference will be in Spanish with English interpretation<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Two speakers from the National Indigenous Congress of Mexico (CNI), Carlos Gonzalez, a lawyer who has represented communities in resistance defending their territories, and Bettina Cruz, human rights and land defender and member of the CNI Indigenous Governing Council from Juchit\u00e1n, Oaxaca will discuss the current situation and the struggle of communities organized in the CNI. They will address issues related to:<\/p>\n

-What the CNI is and how its communities fight and organize.<\/p>\n

-How the covid pandemic affects the indigenous communities in Mexico.<\/p>\n

-How the wheels of Neoliberalism have not stopped in Mexico during the pandemic.<\/p>\n

-What is the CNI perspective of the new trade agreement imposed by the Trump administration to Mexico (T-MEC).<\/p>\n

In addition, we will discuss in the conference the relevance of CNI struggles from a Zapatista perspective to our struggles in the U.S.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
