La periodista canadiense Dawn Paley visit\u00f3 el sitio de la futura ciudad rural, donde ejidatarios de Nueva Colombia, damnificados por las tormentas de septiembre de 2010, viven desde hace 10 meses en un complejo deportivo en condiciones muy precarias de hacinamiento y falta de condiciones b\u00e1sicas de higiene. El gobierno del estado les prometi\u00f3 casas en la nueva ciudad rural, pero hasta ahora lo \u00fanico que se ha construido es una imponente entrada; al mismo tiempo, no se les permite regresar a vivir a sus tierras. Jaltenango is the fourth “sustainable rural city” of Chiapas, currently under construction, in the coffee-growing region of La Frailesca. The Canadian journalist Dawn Paley visited the site of the future rural city, where ejidatarios from Nueva Colombia, affected by the rains in September 2010, have been living for the past 10 months in a sports complex in very precarious conditions of overpopulation and lack of basic hygiene conditions. The state government promised them homes in the new rural city, but up to now the only thing that’s been built is an impressive entrance; at the same time, they are not allowed to go back to live on their lands. In an interview with Radio Zapatista, Dawn Paley describes de situation.<\/p>\n
