{"id":32735,"date":"2019-12-16T22:00:29","date_gmt":"2019-12-17T04:00:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/radiozapatista.org\/?p=32735"},"modified":"2019-12-19T14:58:33","modified_gmt":"2019-12-19T20:58:33","slug":"baila-una-ballena","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/radiozapatista.org\/?p=32735","title":{"rendered":"[:es]Baila una ballena[:en]The Whale Dances[:]"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[:es]<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>COMISI\u00d3N SEXTA DEL EZLN.<br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>M\u00c9XICO.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Diciembre del 2019.<\/p>\n<p>Al Congreso Nacional Ind\u00edgena-Concejo Ind\u00edgena de Gobierno:<br \/>\nA las personas, grupos, colectivos y organizaciones de la Sexta nacional e internacional:<br \/>\nA las Redes de Resistencia y Rebeld\u00eda:<br \/>\nA quienes gustan de la Danza:<\/p>\n<p>CONSIDERANDO QUE:<\/p>\n<p>Primero y \u00fanico:<\/p>\n<p><strong>BAILA UNA BALLENA.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>La monta\u00f1a iluminada.\u00a0 El eco del cine -no de una pel\u00edcula, sino del cine como comunidad-, todav\u00eda deambula por entre ocotes encendidos, el azul nost\u00e1lgico del caballo, Tulan Kaw, el gui\u00f1o de luz de \u201cbienvenid@s\u201d y la luz desafiante de \u201cZAPATISTAS\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Usted ha tratado de salir de aqu\u00ed, pero, de alguna forma que no logra explicar, no puede\u2026 o no quiere.\u00a0 En la ya noche, siempre fr\u00eda, usted recorre la planada donde, horas antes, la serpiente de las estaciones le tra\u00eda recuerdos de ferias pueblerinas, lejanas en calendario y geograf\u00eda.<\/p>\n<p>Su mirada se detiene en los carteles del rompecabezas: \u201cII Encuentro Internacional de Mujeres que Luchan\u201d, \u201cForo en Defensa de la Madre Tierra\u201d, \u201c26 Aniversario\u201d. \u201cII Festival de Cine Puy Ta Cuxlejaltic\u201d, \u201cPrimer Festival de Danza B\u00e1ilate otro mundo\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Una r\u00e1faga de aire hace temblar el gran anuncio.<\/p>\n<p>\u00bfSe puede bailar el aire?<\/p>\n<p>La danza, aparentemente tan lejana de todo, \u00bfpuede trazar s\u00f3lo con movimientos un sue\u00f1o?<\/p>\n<p>S\u00ed, usted tal vez desvar\u00eda.\u00a0 Puede ser por el fr\u00edo, o por esa irreverente estrella roja que cintila en la punta del cerro.<\/p>\n<p>En eso est\u00e1, cuando la ni\u00f1a y su pandilla llegan y le rodean con su bulla entusiasmada.\u00a0 \u201c<em>\u00a1Va a haber baile!\u201d, <\/em>le gritan brincando.\u00a0 Bueno, la ni\u00f1a a quien llaman \u201cLa Calamidad\u201d apenas levanta un poco los talones, pero su alegr\u00eda es semejante a la de las dem\u00e1s.\u00a0 Lo del baile no entusiasma al Pedrito, el esc\u00e9ptico de la banda, y sentencia: \u201c<em>De por s\u00ed hay baile cada tanto, no veo la raz\u00f3n del esc\u00e1ndalo<\/em>\u201d.\u00a0 Defensa Zapatista abre su m\u00e9todo pedag\u00f3gico con un zape y prosigue: \u201c<em>Va a haber baile pero colgado de una nube.\u00a0 O sea que no cualquiera<\/em>\u201d, y realiza un impecable movimiento de <em>ron de jambe par terre en dehors<\/em>.\u00a0 El gato-perro no quiere quedarse atr\u00e1s y, obvio, se suma con un <em>pas de chat<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>\u00a1Va a haber baile!<\/em>\u201d repiten las ni\u00f1as, no a coro porque son bastante disparejas.<\/p>\n<p>Una insurgenta (usted la identifica por su uniforme) llega corriendo y dice: <em>\u201c\u00a1Calamidad, ven\u00edte, que lo van a bailar la ballena!<\/em>\u201d.\u00a0 La Calamidad sube a toda velocidad -que tampoco es mucha que digamos-, la ligera cuesta que lleva a las entra\u00f1as de la ballena de madera a\u00fan reposando\u2026 o recuper\u00e1ndose de las heridas de arpones, mentiras y olvidos.\u00a0 Defensa Zapatista carga al gato-perro en brazos y le sigue.<\/p>\n<p>La Esperanza Zapatista se queda discutiendo con el Pedrito, quien se\u00f1ala que no s\u00f3lo es imposible bailar una ballena, tambi\u00e9n que es imposible que se encuentre un <em>cet\u00e1ceo<\/em> (as\u00ed dice) en medio de las monta\u00f1as del sureste mexicano.\u00a0 Usted no se entera del final de la discusi\u00f3n, aunque supone su desenlace \u2013Esperanza, aunque le llega a la cintura al Pedrito, suele terminar cualquier discusi\u00f3n con un \u201c<em>hombres, no ven m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de sus narices\u2026 y son chatos<\/em>\u201d-.<\/p>\n<p>Usted decide seguir a Defensa Zapatista, al gato-perro y a la Calamidad.\u00a0 Le siguen la Esperanza Zapatista y un Pedrito rezongando porque tiene hambre.<\/p>\n<p>Se adentran en las entra\u00f1as, ahora casi vac\u00edas, del gigantesco animal.\u00a0 Un grupo de danzarines practica sus movimientos. Ellas, <em>elloas<\/em> y ellos recorren el templete que, contradiciendo su vocaci\u00f3n, no est\u00e1 m\u00e1s elevado que las plateas, sino m\u00e1s bajo.<\/p>\n<p>Usted se sienta y, m\u00e1s que mirar los ejercicios y pasos ensayados, pone atenci\u00f3n en la reacci\u00f3n de la pandilla.\u00a0 La Calamidad, inspirada, se ha subido a una de las bancas e intenta un <em>echappe simple<\/em> y, al caer sobre la tabla, \u00e9sta se rinde (la tabla, se entiende).\u00a0 \u201c<em>\u00a1Calamidad!<\/em>\u201d, le grita Defensa Zapatista.\u00a0 Pero la Calamidad ya se subi\u00f3 en otra banca y repite el paso\u2026 y la tabla rota.\u00a0 A la quinta banca quebrada, un pelot\u00f3n de milicianas trata de sujetar, in\u00fatilmente, a una Calamidad que se reitera en su intento de desafiar la ley de gravedad\u2026 y de la l\u00f3gica.<\/p>\n<p>El esc\u00e1ndalo que sigue \u2013la Calamidad brincando de una banca a otra con una agilidad fuera de los l\u00edmites de su cuerpo, las milicianas tratando de rodearla y someterla, el gato-perro mordiendo a las milicianas, la Defensa Zapatista tratando de detener al gato-perro, la Esperanza sacando su celular para video grabar el tumulto, el Pedrito record\u00e1ndoles a todos que tal vez es mejor comer algo-, no parece perturbar a quienes se cuelgan de un viento que, debido a la ausencia de m\u00fasica, s\u00f3lo sopla en sus corazones.<\/p>\n<p>\u00bfSe puede bailar una ballena herida?<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAh, los zapatistas, siempre como que est\u00e1n viendo otra pel\u00edcula\u201d, piensa usted para s\u00ed.\u00a0 Como si cuando hablaran del mundo, no se refirieran a \u00e9ste que se padece.\u00a0 Como si, en una nave espacial, eligieran mirar, no el mundo que queda detr\u00e1s, sino el que se esconde en alg\u00fan lugar del universo\u2026 o de su imaginaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>\u00bfSe puede imaginar la banda sonora de un mundo nuevo que, insumiso, surge de los escombros de otro que ya cruje imperceptiblemente?<\/p>\n<p>Entonces usted entiende\u2026 o cree entender.\u00a0 Con lo de \u201cB\u00e1ilate otro mundo\u201d, el zapatismo no est\u00e1 lanzando un desaf\u00edo, sino una invitaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>Mientras tanto, acorralada en el \u00faltimo rinc\u00f3n del auditorio, la Calamidad ha detenido el ataque de las milicianas, quienes escuchan, atentas, c\u00f3mo la ni\u00f1a les explica el \u201cjuego de las palomitas\u201d y les cuenta \u201cla historia del ma\u00edz palomero versi\u00f3n Calamidad\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Entonces, usted siente un peque\u00f1o temblor bajo sus pies.\u00a0 Duda.\u00a0 Certifica.\u00a0 S\u00ed, parece que la ballena al fin se despereza y se dispone a retomar su camino loma arriba.<\/p>\n<p>Como si la danza, el arte de bailar otro mundo, le hubiera aliviado las heridas y el coraz\u00f3n, y le animara a seguir su absurdo empe\u00f1o.<\/p>\n<p>Pero eso es imposible.\u00a0 \u00bfO no?<\/p>\n<p><strong>-*-<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Con base a lo anteriormente expuesto, la Comisi\u00f3n Sexta del EZLN, invita a los hombres, mujeres, <strong><em>otroas<\/em><\/strong>, ni\u00f1os y ancianos de la Sexta, del CNI y de las redes de Resistencia y Rebeld\u00eda en todo el mundo, y tambi\u00e9n a quienes puedan y quieran, al PRIMER FESTIVAL DE DANZA\u2026<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>\u201cB\u00c1ILATE OTRO MUNDO\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Cuya <strong><u>PRIMERA<\/u><\/strong> edici\u00f3n se realizar\u00e1 en los Caracoles zapatistas de Tulan Kaw y Jacinto Canek, en las monta\u00f1as del Sureste Mexicano, del 16 al 20 de diciembre del 2019.<\/p>\n<p>Habr\u00e1 exhibiciones de danza contempor\u00e1nea, cl\u00e1sica, neo cl\u00e1sica, \u00e1rabe, <em>butoh<\/em>, acrobacia, bailable, circo, performance, participativa, a\u00e9rea, africana, <em>dark belly dance hip hop fusi\u00f3n<\/em>, moderna, <em>hula hula<\/em> y manipulaci\u00f3n de fuego.<\/p>\n<p>Tambi\u00e9n se Rebellion:<br \/>\nTo those who enjoy dance:<\/p>\n<p>CONSIDERING:<br \/>\nFirst and only:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>The Whale Dances<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The illuminated mountain. The echo of cinema, not of a movie, but of cinema itself as a community still lives on in recently lit <em>ocotes<\/em>, in the nostalgic blue of that horse\u2013Tulan Kaw\u2013, in a glimmer that reads \u00abWelcome,\u00bb and finally in that defiant light that spells, \u00abZAPATISTAS.\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>You\u2019ve tried to leave this place but for some reason that you\u2019re unable to explain, you can\u2019t\u2026 or you don\u2019t want to. Night has fallen, cold as always. You stroll through the flat open area where, hours earlier, the serpentine path between the stations reminded you of small-town fairs in distant calendars and geographies.<\/p>\n<p>The smorgasbord of posters catches your eye: \u201cSecond International Encounter of Women in Struggle,\u201d \u201cGathering in Defense of Territory and Mother Earth,\u201d \u201c26<sup>th<\/sup> Anniversary,\u201d \u201cSecond \u2018<em>Puy Ta Cuxlejaltic<\/em>\u2019 Film Festival,\u201d \u201cFirst \u2018Dance Another World\u2019 Dance Festival.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->Is it possible to dance the air?<\/p>\n<p>Could a dance, seemingly so distant from everything, trace the outlines of a dream through movement alone?<\/p>\n<p>Yes, perhaps you\u2019re delirious; it could be due to the cold or to that irreverent red star glittering at the top of the mountain.<\/p>\n<p>You\u2019re in the middle of analyzing this when the little girl and her gang arrive and surround you with their enthusiastic chatter: \u201c<em>There\u2019s going to be a dance!<\/em>\u201d they shout, jumping up and down. Well, the girl called \u201cCalamity\u201d barely gets her heels off the ground, but her joy is just the same as the others\u2019. The prospect of a dance does not excite Pedrito, the skeptic of the group, who declares: \u201c<em>There\u2019s a dance every now and then anyway, I don\u2019t see what the fuss is about<\/em>.\u201d Defensa Zapatista begins her pedagogical approach with a slap upside the head and continues, \u201c<em>There\u2019s going to be a dance hanging from a cloud, not just any old dance<\/em>,\u201d as she performs an impeccable <em>ron de jambe par terre en dehors.<\/em><a href=\"http:\/\/enlacezapatista.ezln.org.mx\/2019\/12\/18\/the-whale-dances\/?utm_source=feedburner&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_campaign=Feed%3A+EnlaceZapatista+%28Enlace+Zapatista%29#_ftn1\" name=\"_ftnref1\"><em><strong>[1]<\/strong><\/em><\/a><em> Not to be shown up, the Cat-Dog follows with a pas de chat.<\/em><a href=\"http:\/\/enlacezapatista.ezln.org.mx\/2019\/12\/18\/the-whale-dances\/?utm_source=feedburner&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_campaign=Feed%3A+EnlaceZapatista+%28Enlace+Zapatista%29#_ftn2\" name=\"_ftnref2\"><em><strong>[2]<\/strong><\/em><\/a><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThere\u2019s going to be a dance!\u201d repeat the girls in a jumbled chorus.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>An insurgenta (you identify her by her uniform) comes running and says, \u201cCalamity, come here, they\u2019re going to dance the whale!\u201d Calamity runs as fast as she can \u2013 which isn\u2019t very fast \u2013 up the gentle slope that leads to the belly of the wooden whale still resting\u2026 or recuperating from injuries from harpoons, lies, and forgetting. Defensa Zapatista follows with the Cat-Dog in her arms.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Esperanza Zapatista is still arguing with Pedrito, who is pointing out that not only is it impossible to \u2018dance a whale\u2019, but also that it\u2019s impossible for a cetacean (that\u2019s what he calls it) to have ended up in the middle of the mountains of the Mexican Southeast. You don\u2019t get to hear the end of the argument but you can guess how it played out: Esperanza Zapatista, even though she only comes up to Pedrito\u2019s waist, usually ends every argument with: \u201cMen can\u2019t see past their own noses\u2026 and they\u2019re snub-nosed!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>You decide to follow Defensa Zapatista, the Cat-Dog and Calamity. Esperanza Zapatista and Pedrito follow behind, complaining that they\u2019re hungry.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>You enter into the belly of the enormous animal, which by now is nearly empty. A group of dancers practice their movements. They (ellas, <strong>elloas<\/strong>, ellos) bound across the stage which, despite its name, is not higher than the bleachers, but lower.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>You sit down and, instead of watching the dancers\u2019 exercises and rehearsal, you watch the reaction of the little gang. Calamity, very excited, has climbed up onto one of the wood bleachers and attempts to execute an echappe simple,<\/em><a href=\"http:\/\/enlacezapatista.ezln.org.mx\/2019\/12\/18\/the-whale-dances\/?utm_source=feedburner&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_campaign=Feed%3A+EnlaceZapatista+%28Enlace+Zapatista%29#_ftn3\" name=\"_ftnref3\">[3]<\/a><em> and, as she falls onto the wooden bench, it breaks. \u201cCalamity!\u201d, Defensa Zapatista shouts \u2013 but Calamity has already climbed onto another bleacher and repeated the move\u2026 and another bench is broken. By the time the fifth bench has broken, a cluster of milicianas is trying in vain to restrain her still despite her insistence on challenging the laws of gravity\u2026 and logic.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The scene that follows \u2013 with Calamity jumping from one bleacher to another with an agility that defies the limits of her body, the milicianas trying to surround and grab her, the cat-dog biting the milicianas, Defensa Zapatista trying to stop the Cat-Dog, Esperanza Zapatista trying to get her phone out to video-record the chaos, Pedrito reminding everyone that perhaps it would be best to have something to eat \u2013 doesn\u2019t appear to bother the dancers who seem to hang on a wind that, in the absence of music, blows only in their hearts.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Is it possible to dance an injured whale?<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em> \u201cOh, the Zapatistas: as usual it\u2019s like they\u2019re watching a movie of their own,\u201d you think to yourself. It\u2019s as if when they talk about the world, they\u2019re referring to a world besides the one we\u2019re all suffering through; as if, traveling in a spaceship, they decided to look not at the world they\u2019re leaving behind but the world that is hiding someplace in the universe\u2026 or in their imagination.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Can you imagine the soundtrack to a new, rebellious world rising from the ashes of the old as the latter crumbles imperceptibly?<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Then you understand\u2026 or you think you do. With \u201cDance Another World,\u201d Zapatismo is not issuing a challenge, but rather an invitation.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Meanwhile, cornered at the far end of the auditorium, Calamity has stopped the milicianas\u2019 attack \u2013 they are listening attentively to the girl\u2019s explanation of the \u201cpopcorn game\u201d and her \u201chistory of popcorn, Calamity\u2019s version.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Just then you feel a rumbling under your feet. No \u2013 could it be? Yes: it seems that the whale has finally gotten desperate and is trying to restart its journey up the mountainside.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>As if dance, the art of dancing another world, had healed its wounds and its heart, and had encouraged it to continue its absurd effort.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>But that\u2019s impossible.
