center;\"><strong>UN DESAF\u00cdO, UNA AUTONOM\u00cdA REAL, UNA RESPUESTA, VARIAS PROPUESTAS, Y ALGUNAS AN\u00c9CDOTAS SOBRE EL N\u00daMERO \u201c300\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\u00bfQu\u00e9 sigue?<\/p>\n<p>Remar contra corriente.\u00a0 Nada nuevo para nosotras, nosotros,\u00a0<strong><em>nosotroas<\/em><\/strong>, zapatistas.<\/p>\n<p>Nosotros queremos refrendar -lo consultamos con nuestros pueblos-: cualquier capataz va a ser enfrentado, cualquiera; y no s\u00f3lo quien propone una buena administraci\u00f3n y una correcta represi\u00f3n -o sea, este combate a la corrupci\u00f3n y el plan de seguridad basado en la impunidad-; tambi\u00e9n quienes detr\u00e1s de sue\u00f1os vanguardistas pretendan imponer su hegemon\u00eda y homogeneizarnos.<\/p>\n<p>No cambiaremos nuestra historia, nuestro dolor, nuestra rabia, nuestra lucha, por el conformismo progre y su caminar detr\u00e1s del l\u00edder.<\/p>\n<p>Tal vez el resto lo olvide, pero nosotros no olvidamos que somos zapatistas.<\/p>\n<p>Y en y sobre nuestra autonom\u00eda -con esto que se est\u00e1 manejando de que s\u00ed se va a reconocer, o no se va a reconocer-, nosotros hicimos este razonamiento: la autonom\u00eda oficial y la autonom\u00eda real.\u00a0 La oficial es la que reconozcan las leyes.\u00a0 La l\u00f3gica ser\u00eda \u00e9sta: tienes una autonom\u00eda, ahora la reconozco en una ley y entonces tu autonom\u00eda empieza a depender de esa ley y ya no sigue sosteniendo sus formas, y luego, cuando va a haber un cambio de gobierno, entonces tienes que apoyar al gobierno \u201cbueno\u201d, y votar por \u00e9l, promover el voto por \u00e9l, porque si entra otro gobierno van a quitar la ley que te protege.\u00a0 Entonces nos convertimos en los peones de los partidos pol\u00edticos, como ha pasado con movimientos sociales en todo el mundo.\u00a0 Ya no importa lo que se est\u00e9 operando en la realidad, lo que se est\u00e9 defendiendo, sino lo que la ley reconozca.\u00a0 La lucha por la libertad se transforma as\u00ed en la lucha por el reconocimiento legal de la lucha misma.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>-*-<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0 Hablamos con nuestras jefas y jefes.\u00a0 O m\u00e1s bien hablamos con los pueblos que nos dan el paso, el rumbo y el destino.\u00a0 Con su mirada miramos lo que viene.<\/p>\n<p>Consultamos, y dijimos: bueno, si nosotros decimos esto \u00bfqu\u00e9 va a pasar?<\/p>\n<p>Nos vamos a quedar solos, nos van a decir que somos marginales, que estamos qued\u00e1ndonos fuera de la gran revoluci\u00f3n\u2026 de la cuarta transformaci\u00f3n o de la nueva religi\u00f3n (o como quieran llamarla), y vamos a tener que remar contra corriente otra vez.<\/p>\n<p>Pero no es nada nuevo, para nosotros y nosotras, eso de quedarnos solos.<\/p>\n<p>Y entonces nos pregunt\u00e1bamos, bueno, \u00bftenemos miedo de esto de quedarnos solos?; \u00bftenemos miedo de mantenernos en nuestras convicciones, de seguir luchando por ellas?; \u00bftenemos miedo de que, quien estaba a favor, se ponga en contra?; \u00bftenemos miedo de no rendirnos, de no vendernos, de no claudicar?; y finalmente concluimos: bueno pues nos estamos preguntando si es que tenemos miedo de ser zapatistas.<\/p>\n<p>No tenemos miedo de ser zapatistas y lo vamos a seguir siendo.<\/p>\n<p>As\u00ed fue que nos preguntamos y nos respondimos.<\/p>\n<p>Nosotros pensamos que junto con ustedes (las redes), con todo en contra, porque no ten\u00edan los medios, ni el consenso, ni la moda, ni la paga \u2013ustedes tuvieron incluso que poner paga de su bolsillo-, que con todo eso, alrededor de un colectivo de originarios y de una mujer peque\u00f1a, chaparrita, \u00e9sa s\u00ed morena, del color de la tierra, denunciamos un sistema depredador y defendimos la convicci\u00f3n de una lucha.<\/p>\n<p>Y entonces estamos buscando a otras personas que no tengan miedo.\u00a0 As\u00ed que les preguntamos a ustedes (las redes): \u00bftienen miedo?<\/p>\n<p>Ah\u00ed lo vean pues, si s\u00ed tienen miedo, pues vamos a buscar en otro lado.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>-*-<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0 Nosotros pensamos que debemos seguir del lado de los pueblos originarios.<\/p>\n<p>Tal vez algunas de las redes todav\u00eda piensan que estamos apoyando a los pueblos originarios.\u00a0 Van a ver, conforme avance el tiempo, que va a ser al rev\u00e9s: nos van a apoyar con su experiencia y sus formas organizativas, o sea, vamos a aprender.\u00a0 Porque si alguien hay experto en tormentas son los pueblos originarios, ya les han tirado de todo y ah\u00ed est\u00e1n, o aqu\u00ed estamos, pues.<\/p>\n<p>Pero pensamos tambi\u00e9n -y les decimos claro, compa\u00f1er@s- que no basta, que tenemos que incorporar a nuestro horizonte nuestras realidades con sus dolores y sus rabias, o sea, que tenemos que ir caminando hacia la siguiente etapa: la construcci\u00f3n de un Concejo que incorpore las luchas de todos los oprimidos, de los desechables, de las desaparecidas y asesinadas, de los presos pol\u00edticos, de las mujeres agredidas, de la ni\u00f1ez prostituida, de los calendarios y geograf\u00edas que trazan el mapa imposible para las leyes de probabilidad, las encuestas y las votaciones: el mapa contempor\u00e1neo de las rebeld\u00edas y las resistencias en todo el planeta.<\/p>\n<p>Si ustedes, junto con nosotros, vamos a desafiar la ley de probabilidad que dice que no hay ninguna chance, o muy peque\u00f1a, de que lo logremos, si vamos a desafiar las encuestas, los millones en las votaciones, y la\u00a0<em>numeralia<\/em>\u00a0que el Poder ofrezca para rendirnos o para desmayarnos, tenemos que hacer m\u00e1s grande el Concejo.<\/p>\n<p>Hasta ahora es s\u00f3lo un pensamiento que expresamos aqu\u00ed, pero queremos construir un Concejo que no absorba ni anule todas las diferencias, sino que las potencie en el andar con\u00a0<strong><em>otroas<\/em><\/strong>, otros y otras que tengamos el mismo empe\u00f1o.<\/p>\n<p>Con el mismo razonamiento, estos par\u00e1metros no debieran tener como l\u00edmite la geograf\u00eda impuesta por fronteras y banderas: debiera apuntar a hacerse internacional.<\/p>\n<p>Lo que estamos proponiendo es no s\u00f3lo que el Concejo Ind\u00edgena de Gobierno deje de ser s\u00f3lo ind\u00edgena, sino que tambi\u00e9n deje de ser nacional.<\/p>\n<p>Por lo tanto, nosotras, nosotros,\u00a0<strong><em>nosotroas<\/em><\/strong>, como zapatistas que somos, proponemos que se lleve a consulta, adem\u00e1s de todas las propuestas que se han vertido en este encuentro, lo siguiente:<\/p>\n<p>1\u00ba.- Refrendar nuestro apoyo al Congreso Nacional Ind\u00edgena y al Concejo Ind\u00edgena de Gobierno.<\/p>\n<p>2\u00ba.- Crear y mantener canales de comunicaci\u00f3n abiertos y transparentes entre quienes nos conocimos en el andar del Concejo Ind\u00edgena de Gobierno y su vocera.<\/p>\n<p>3\u00ba.- Iniciar o continuar el an\u00e1lisis-valoraci\u00f3n de la realidad en que nos movemos, haciendo y compartiendo dichos an\u00e1lisis y valoraciones, as\u00ed como las propuestas de acci\u00f3n coordinadas que se deriven.<\/p>\n<p>4\u00ba.- Proponemos el desdoblamiento de las Redes de Apoyo al CIG para, sin dejar el apoyo a los originarios, abrir ya el coraz\u00f3n a las rebeld\u00edas y resistencias que emergen y perseveran en donde cada quien se mueve, en el campo y la ciudad, sin importar las fronteras.<\/p>\n<p>5\u00ba.- Iniciar o continuar la lucha que apunte a engrandecer las demandas y el car\u00e1cter del Concejo Ind\u00edgena de Gobierno, de modo que vaya m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de los pueblos originarios e incorpore a trabajadores del campo y de la ciudad, y a l@s desechables que tienen historia y lucha propias, es decir, identidad.<\/p>\n<p>6\u00ba.- Iniciar o continuar el an\u00e1lisis y discusi\u00f3n que apunte al nacimiento de una Coordinaci\u00f3n o Federaci\u00f3n de Redes, que evite el mando centralizado y vertical, y que no escatime el apoyo solidario y la hermandad entre quienes la forman.<\/p>\n<p>7\u00ba y \u00faltimo.- Celebrar una reuni\u00f3n internacional de redes, como quiera que se llamen -nosotros proponemos que ahora nos llamemos Red de Resistencia y Rebeld\u00eda\u2026 y cada quien su nombre- en diciembre de este a\u00f1o, despu\u00e9s de conocer y analizar y evaluar lo que decidan y propongan el Congreso Nacional Ind\u00edgena y su Concejo Ind\u00edgena de Gobierno (en su reuni\u00f3n de Octubre de este a\u00f1o), y tambi\u00e9n para conocer los resultados de la consulta a la que se llama en esta reuni\u00f3n -en la que estamos ahorita-.\u00a0 Para esto ofrecemos, si les parece, espacio en alguno de los Caracoles Zapatistas.<\/p>\n<p>Nuestro llamado pues, no es s\u00f3lo a los originarios, es a\u00a0<strong><em>todoas<\/em><\/strong>, a todas y a todos quienes se rebelan y resisten en todos los rincones del mundo.\u00a0 A quienes desaf\u00edan los esquemas, las reglas, las leyes, los preceptos, los n\u00fameros y los porcentajes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>-*-<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>An\u00e9cdota uno.- En los primeros d\u00edas de enero de 1994, la inteligencia del Ej\u00e9rcito Federal estimaba la fuerza del autodenominado\u00a0<strong><em>ezetaelene<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0en \u201cs\u00f3lo\u201d\u00a0<strong><em>300<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0transgresores de la ley.<\/p>\n<p>An\u00e9cdota dos.- En el mismo a\u00f1o, y mientras Ernesto Zedillo Ponce de Le\u00f3n y Esteban Moctezuma Barrag\u00e1n cocinaban la traici\u00f3n de febrero de 1995, el grupo Nexos (dedicado antes a cantar loas a Salinas de Gortari y despu\u00e9s a Zedillo) se desesperaba y, en voz de H\u00e9ctor Aguilar Cam\u00edn, expresaba, palabras m\u00e1s, palabras menos: \u201c<em>\u00bfPor qu\u00e9 no los aniquilan?\u00a0 S\u00f3lo son\u00a0<strong>300<\/strong><\/em>\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>An\u00e9cdota tres.- Del informe de la mesa de registro en el Encuentro de Redes de Apoyo al CIG y su vocera, realizado en el caracol zapatista \u201cTorbellino de Nuestras Palabras\u201d, del 3 al 5 de agosto del 2018: \u201c<em>asistentes:\u00a0<strong>300<\/strong><\/em>\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>An\u00e9cdota cuatro: Ingresos de las\u00a0<strong><em>300<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0empresas m\u00e1s poderosas del planeta: ni idea, pero puede ser un 300, o cualquier n\u00famero, seguido de un chingo de ceros, y luego \u201cmillones de d\u00f3lares\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>An\u00e9cdota cinco.- Cantidades y porcentajes \u201calentadores\u201d:<\/p>\n<p>.- la diferencia cuantitativa entre\u00a0<strong><em>300<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0y 30, 113,483 (que son los votos que, seg\u00fan el INE, obtuvo el candidato AMLO) es: treinta millones, ciento trece mil, ciento ochenta y tres;<\/p>\n<p>.-\u00a0<strong><em>300<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0es el 0.00099623 % de esos m\u00e1s de 30 millones;<\/p>\n<p>.-\u00a0<strong><em>300<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0es el 0.00052993 % de los votos emitidos (56, 611,027);<\/p>\n<p>.-\u00a0<strong><em>300<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0es el 0.00033583 % del padr\u00f3n electoral (89, 332,032);<\/p>\n<p>.-\u00a0<strong><em>300<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0es el 0.00022626 % del total de la poblaci\u00f3n mexicana (132, 593,000, menos las 7 mujeres que, en promedio, son ultimadas diariamente \u2013en la \u00faltima d\u00e9cada, en M\u00e9xico y en promedio, una ni\u00f1a,\u00a0<strong><em>j\u00f3vena<\/em><\/strong>, adulta o mujer de la tercera edad, fue asesinada cada 4 horas-);<\/p>\n<p>.-\u00a0<strong><em>300<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0es el 0.00003012 % de la poblaci\u00f3n del Continente Americano (996, 000,000 en 2017);<\/p>\n<p>.- la probabilidad porcentual de destruir el sistema capitalista, es del 0.000003929141 %, que es el tanto por ciento de la poblaci\u00f3n mundial (7, 635, 255,247 a las 19:54 hora nacional del 20 de agosto del 2018), que representan\u00a0<strong><em>300<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0(claro, si es que las supuestas\u00a0<strong><em>300<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0personas no se venden, no se rinden y no claudican).<\/p>\n<p>Oh, lo s\u00e9, ni la tortuga derrotando a Aquiles servir\u00eda de consuelo.<\/p>\n<p>\u00bfY un caracol?\u2026<\/p>\n<p>\u00bfLa Bruja Escarlata?\u2026<\/p>\n<p>\u00bfEl gato-perro?\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Deje usted eso, a nosotras, nosotros, zapatistas, lo que nos desvela no es el desaf\u00edo que plantea esa \u00ednfima probabilidad, sino c\u00f3mo va a ser el mundo que siga; el que, sobre las cenizas a\u00fan humeantes del sistema, empiece a emerger.<\/p>\n<p>\u00bfCu\u00e1les van a ser sus formas?<\/p>\n<p>\u00bfSe hablar\u00e1n colores?<\/p>\n<p>\u00bfCu\u00e1l ser\u00e1 su tema musical? We\u2019re not just talking about those who insist they will administrate properly and repress correctly\u2014as in the current proposal to combat corruption and improve security via impunity\u2014but also those whose intentions for hegemony and imposed homogeneity lie just below their vanguardist dreams.<\/p>\n<p>We will not exchange our history, our pain, our rage, and our struggle for a \u201cprogressive\u201d conformity which is currently closing ranks behind its leader. We don\u2019t forget, even when everybody else does, that we are Zapatistas.<\/p>\n<p>With regard to our autonomy and the discussion that\u2019s going on about whether it will be recognized or not, we make the following distinction: there is official autonomy, and there is real autonomy. Official autonomy is recognized by law, and this is its logic: \u201cIf you have an autonomous system and I legally recognize it, then your autonomy begins to depend on my law and not on your actual autonomous practices. When election season rolls around, you\u2019ll have to support us, voting and promoting the vote for our party, because if another party takes office they\u2019ll undo that law that protects you.\u201d In that logic, we become political party peons, just as has happened to social movements all over the world. The actual function and defense of autonomy ceases to matter; the only thing that matters is what is recognized by the law. The struggle for freedom is in effect transformed into a struggle for the legal recognition of struggle.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">-*-<\/p>\n<p>We talked to our \u201cbosses,\u201d that is, the communities that determine our path, our route, and our destiny. We see what is coming through their perspective. We asked them: \u201cif we take this position (what we believe is necessary), what will happen?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>And this is how we answered ourselves: \u201cwe\u2019ll be alone and isolated in our position. People will say that we\u2019re irrelevant\u2014that we have placed ourselves outside the great revolution, the supposed fourth transformation, this new religion or whatever you want to call it\u2014and we\u2019ll have to swim against the current yet again.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>But being alone and isolated is nothing new for us. Then we asked ourselves: are we afraid to be alone in what we believe? Are we afraid to hold fast to our convictions and to struggle for them? Are we afraid that the people who previously supported us will turn against us? Are we afraid to refuse to give up, give in, or sell out? We asked ourselves each of these questions and we came to the conclusion that what we were asking was if we were afraid to be Zapatistas.<\/p>\n<p>We aren\u2019t afraid to be Zapatistas and that\u2019s exactly what we are going to continue to be. That was what we asked ourselves, and that was our answer.<\/p>\n<p>We think that, alongside all of you (the support networks), and with everything against us\u2014because we know that throughout this process you didn\u2019t have the support of the media or the masses, nor could you count on pay or popularity (we know you had to use your own money to carry out your work)\u2014we organized ourselves around a collective of originary peoples and a small, brown woman, the color of the earth, to denounce a predatory system and defend our conviction and our struggle.<br \/>\nWe\u2019re looking for other people who aren\u2019t afraid. That\u2019s why we want to ask you (the support networks), are you afraid? You decide. If you\u2019re afraid, we\u2019ll look somewhere else.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">-*-<\/p>\n<p>We think that we should continue to walk closely with the originary peoples.<\/p>\n<p>Maybe some of you as support networks still think that what you\u2019re doing is supporting the originary peoples. As time goes by you\u2019re going to see that it\u2019s just the opposite: they will support you through their experience and their forms of organization. That is, you will learn, because if anyone is an expert in surviving a storm it\u2019s the originary peoples. They\u2019ve had everything thrown at them and here they still are\u2014here we still are.<\/p>\n<p>But we also think, and compa\u00f1er@s we want to make this very clear: that won\u2019t be enough. We will have to incorporate into our horizon of struggle all of our own realities and the pain and rage they hold. We will have to move toward a new phase of this process: the construction of a Council that includes the struggles of all of the oppressed, marginalized, disappeared, and murdered, the struggles of political prisoners, of women who have been attacked and harassed, of children who have been prostituted, of all the calendars and geographies that delineate a map that is impossible within the laws of probability and illegible to polls and votes: the contemporary map of rebellion and resistance across the planet.<\/p>\n<p>If we\u2014all of us together\u2014are going to challenge the laws of probability that say there is little to no chance that we will succeed, if we are going to challenge the polls and the millions of votes and the world-in-numbers that Power pulls out to try to demoralize us and make us give up, then we have to make the Council [Indigenous Governing Council, CIG] bigger. At this point this is just a thought that we want to share with you\u2014that we think it is important to build a Council that neither absorbs nor annuls differences, but rather gives each of us the chance to be with others [otros, otras, otroas] who share the same struggle. This is why we think the Council should not be limited by a geography imposed by borders and flags, but should aim to become international.<\/p>\n<p>What we are proposing is that the Indigenous Governing Council cease to be only indigenous and only national in scope.<\/p>\n<p>To that end, as Zapatistas we put forward the following proposals, in addition to the ones already suggested during this gathering, to be consulted with all of your home collectives and organizations:<\/p>\n<p>1. To reaffirm our support for the National Indigenous Congress and the Indigenous Governing Council.<\/p>\n<p>2. To create and maintain open and transparent forms of communication among all of us who have come together on this path of the Indigenous Governing Council and its spokeswoman.<\/p>\n<p>3. To begin or continue our analysis and evaluation of the reality in which we live, and to share with each other these analyses and evaluations as well as our subsequent proposals for coordinated action.<\/p>\n<p>4. Without ceasing our support for the originary peoples, we propose to double down on the work of the CIG Support Networks in order to open our collective heart to all of the rebellions and resistances that emerge and persevere wherever we might be, in the countryside or the city, without regard for borders.<\/p>\n<p>5. To begin or continue the struggle to grow both the demands and dimensions of the Indigenous Governing Council with the goal of extending it beyond originary peoples to include workers of the countryside and city and all of those who have been discarded or marginalized but who have their own history and struggle, that is, their own identity.<\/p>\n<p>6. To begin or continue the analysis and discussion toward the creation of a Coordination or Federation of Networks which avoids any kind of centralized or vertical command and which spares no effort in building solidarity, support, and sisterhood\/brotherhood among its participants.<\/p>\n<p>7. Finally, to hold in December of this year an international gathering of networks\u2014we propose that for now we call ourselves the Network of Resistance and Rebellion (and then the name of each collective), but it could be whatever we decide to name ourselves. At that point we will have had the chance to hear, analyze, and evaluate what the National Indigenous Congress and the Indigenous Governing Council decide and propose during their meeting in October, and we will also have the results of the consultation process to be undertaken as a result this meeting we are in right now. We would like to offer one of the Zapatista Caracoles as a location for that upcoming meeting, if you are all in agreement.<\/p>\n<p>Our proposal, then, is not only for the originary peoples, but for everyone [todoas, todas, todos] who resist and rebel in each and every corner of the world, and who challenge every rule, law, mold, dictate, number, and percentage imposed on us.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">-*-<\/p>\n<p>First anecdote: During the first days of 1994, the intelligence services of the Mexican army estimated that the self-designated \u201cee-zee-el-en\u201d consisted of \u201conly\u201d 300 transgressors of the law.<br \/>\nSecond anecdote: That same year, as Ernesto Zedillo Ponce de Le\u00f3n and Esteban Moctezuma Barrag\u00e1n plotted the betrayal and ambush to be carried out against us in February of 1995,i the Nexos group (dedicated at that time to singing the praises of Salinas de Gortari and Zedillo), exclaimed, out of growing frustration and in so many words by H\u00e9ctor Aguilar Cam\u00edn, \u201cWhy don\u2019t we just obliterate them? There are only 300 of them!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Third anecdote: Information from the registration table at the Gathering of Support Networks for the CIG and its spokeswoman, held at the Zapatista Caracol \u201cWhirlwind of our Words\u201d August 3-5, 2018: \u201cattendees: 300\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Fourth anecdote: Profits of the 300 most powerful corporations on the planet: we have no idea, but it could be 300, or any other number, followed by a shitload of zeros, and ending with \u201cmillions of dollars\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Fifth anecdote: \u201cencouraging\u201d quantities and percentages:<\/p>\n<p>The quantitative difference between 300 and 30,113,483 (the number of votes L\u00f3pez Obrador the candidate received according to the INE): thirty million, one hundred and thirteen thousand, one hundred and eighty-three.<\/p>\n<p>300 is 0.00099623% of those more than 30 million votes<\/p>\n<p>300 is 0.00052993% of the total votes cast (56,611,027)<\/p>\n<p>300 is 0.00033583% of the total number of registered voters (89,332,032)<\/p>\n<p>300 is 0.00022626% of the total Mexican population (132,593,000, minus the 7 women who, on average, are murdered daily. Over the past decade, a girl, young woman, adult woman, or elderly woman has been murdered, on average, every 4 hours).<\/p>\n<p>300 is 0.00003012% of the population of the American Continent (996,000,000 in 2017)<\/p>\n<p>The probability of destroying the capitalist system is 0.000003929141%, which is the percentage of the world population (7,635,255,247 at 7:54pm on August 20, 2018), represented by the number 300 (that is, of course, if those supposed 300 people don\u2019t give up, give in, or sell out).<\/p>\n<p>Oh I know, not even the tortoise beating Achilles[ii] would be consolation.<\/p>\n<p>What about a caracol?[iii]\u2026<\/p>\n<p>La Bruja Escarlata?[iv]\u2026<\/p>\n<p>The cat-dog?\u2026<\/p>\n<p>All right, enough of that. What keeps us Zapatistas awake is not the challenge presented by this infinitesimal probability of triumph, but the question of what the world that follows, the one that begins to emerge from the still smoking ashes of this system, will be like.<\/p>\n<p>What will be its ways?<\/p>\n<p>Will its colors speak?<\/p>\n<p>What will its theme song be? (Huh? \u201cThe Girl with the Red Bow?\u201d[v] No way).<\/p>\n<p>What will be the lineup of Defensa Zapatista\u2019s (finally) full team? Can Esperanza Zapatista\u2019s teddy bear join the lineup and team up with Pedrito? Will they let Pablito wear his cowboy hat and Amado Zapatista, his crocheted helmet?\u00a0Why doesn\u2019t the damned referee blow his whistle on the Cat-dog who is so obviously off-sides?<\/p>\n<p>Above all, and most importantly, how will that new world dance?<\/p>\n<p>This is why, when we Zapatistas are asked, \u201cWhat\u2019s next?\u201d Well\u2026how can I explain it? We don\u2019t answer on the spot, it takes us a bit. The truth is, you\u2019ll see, that dancing a new world is less problematic than imagining it.<\/p>\n<p>Sixth anecdote: Oh, you thought the thing about \u201c300\u201dvi was because of the film by that title and the Battle of Thermopylae, and you were ready to get dressed up like Leonidas or Gorgo (to each their own) and start shouting \u201cThis is Sparta!\u201d while decimating the \u201cimmortal\u201d troops of the Persian King Xerxes?
