Inspirado por el llamado a la acci\u00f3n de la gente digna del Movimiento por Justicia del Barrio, Montr\u00e9al, Canada tuvo dos eventos por la libertad de los presos pol\u00edticos en San Sebasti\u00e1n Bachaj\u00f3n.\u00a0 Primeramente el 28 de marzo tuvimos un evento donde Juan\u00a0y Maria del Movimiento nos presentaron los v\u00eddeos de su lucha en Nueva York y luego nos mostraron un videomensaje hecho por los ejidatarios de San Sebasti\u00e1n Bachaj\u00f3n en colaboraci\u00f3n con el Movimiento por Justicia del Barrio.\u00a0 All\u00ed estuvieron personas de todas partes de Montreal, Canada para escuchar con sus corazones y mirar con sus ojos la palabras del pueblo de San Sebasti\u00e1n Bachaj\u00f3n y informarse sobre la lucha por su tierra y contra el mal gobierno y sus fuerzas policiacas.\u00a0 La gente en la audencia preguntaron sobre la situaci\u00f3n en Chiapas y en particular en Bachaj\u00f3n.\u00a0 Maria nos ley\u00f3 un mensaje de las mujeres en Chiapas para todas las mujeres del mundo en la lucha por una vida mejor, y toda la audiencia se sumaron a la convocatoria \u201c5 D\u00edas de Acci\u00f3n Mundial por los 5 de Bachaj\u00f3n\u201d<\/strong> con su apoyo solidario.\u00a0 Al final del evento, colectamos los nombres y contactos de toda la gente interesada en unirse para ver el segundo videomensaje de San Sebasti\u00e1n Bachaj\u00f3n, y hablar sobre como continuar a apoyar su lucha y liberar a sus presos aqui en Canada.Por la ma\u00f1ana del 30 de marzo, tuvimos un planton en frente del Consulado Mexicano en Montr\u00e9al.\u00a0 Hicimos mucho ruido con un meg\u00e1fono explicando a todas las personas pasando porque estabamos all\u00ed, y explic\u00e1ndoles la situaci\u00f3n en San Sebasti\u00e1n Bachaj\u00f3n.\u00a0 Exigiendo la libertad de los presos politicos, nos llam\u00f3 la atenci\u00f3n la curiosidad de la policia y del consulado.\u00a0 La policia nos dejo despu\u00e9s de hablarnos un poco, y preguntar quien era el responsable del evento (\u00a1nadie! \u00a1todxs!) y el hombre que vin\u00f3 del consulado tom\u00f3 notas durante nuestra explicaci\u00f3n de las razones por las estabamos all\u00ed.\u00a0 Pasabamos volantes a los que pasaron por la calle, y mucha gente nos pregunt\u00f3 por las razones de la protesta. La protesta pas\u00f3 con exito y pensamos que podemos hacer otra y poner m\u00e1s presi\u00f3n sobre el consulado para liberar a los presos de Bachaj\u00f3n, porque defender su tierra no es delito.<\/p>\n En los proximas d\u00edas vamos a reunirnos aqu\u00ed en Montr\u00e9al para ver el segundo videomensaje y para decidir como podemos continuar a poner presi\u00f3n al mal gobierno mexicano para que liberen a los presos detenidos bajo cargos falsos en Bachaj\u00f3n.\u00a0 Nos quedamos muy inspirados por la lucha digna de la gente de Bachaj\u00f3n y nos alientan las voces y rostros de los hombres y las mujeres luchando para sus tierras, cascadas y dignidad.\u00a0 Nosotros aqu\u00ed en Montr\u00e9al reconocemos que si nos tocan a uno nos tocan a todos, y por eso vamos a continuar el\u00a0 llamado por la libertad de los presos politicos y el ejercicio de\u00a0aut\u00f3nomia en el ejido de San Sebasti\u00e1n Bachaj\u00f3n.<\/p>\n Gracias por haber compartido su lucha y sus palabras y sus sue\u00f1os con nosotrxs.<\/p>\n \u00a1La lucha sigue! Inspired by the call to action sent out by the dignified people of Movement for Justice en El Barrio, Montr\u00e9al held two events that called for the liberation of the political prisoners still being detained for defending their land in San Sebasti\u00e1n Bachaj\u00f3n, Chiapas. First, on the 28th of March, we hosted an event with Juan and Maria from the Movement for Justice in El Barrio. At this event they presented us with two videos, one of their struggle in New York and then they screened the first video message from San Sebasti\u00e1n Bachaj\u00f3n made in collaboration with Movement for Justice in El Barrio. There were people there to listen with their hearts and see with their eyes the words of the people in San Sebasti\u00e1n Bachaj\u00f3n and inform themselves about their struggle for their land and against the bad government and its police forces. The people in the audience asked questions about the situation in Chiapas, particularly in Bachaj\u00f3n. Maria read out a message from women in Chiapas written for all women in struggle throughout the world, and the entire audience joined in the call in support of the women in struggle. At the end of the event, we gathered the names and contacts of people interested in coming together to watch the second video message from San Sebasti\u00e1n Bachaj\u00f3n and talk together about how we could continue to support the struggle of the people of Bachaj\u00f3n here in Canada.<\/p>\n In the morning of the 30 of March, we held a protest in front of the Mexican Consulate in Montr\u00e9al. We made lots of noise with a megaphone, explaining to all passers why we were there, and explaining to them the situation in San Sebasti\u00e1n Bachaj\u00f3n. In making the call for the liberation of the 5 prisoners, we caught the attention of the police and the consulate. The police let us continue after speaking with us a bit and asking who the person responsible for the action was (nobody! everybody!) and the man they sent from the consulate took notes of our explanation of why we were there protesting. We passed out flyers with information to those passing in the streets, and many people asked us why we were protesting. The protest was successful in garnering attention for the prisoners and we think with we could hold another protest to put more pressure on the consulate here to call for the liberation of the prisoners in Bachaj\u00f3n, because defending their land is not a crime. <\/p>\n In the next days we are going to hold a meeting here in Montr\u00e9al to see the second video message together and decide how we can continue to put pressure on the bad government of Mexico until they liberate the prisoners of Bachaj\u00f3n, who are being held under false charges. We are very inspired by the struggle of the people of Bachaj\u00f3n and we were touched by the voices and faces of the women and men in struggle for their land and waterfalls, and standing up for their dignity.
