Primero que nada, a nombre de las compa\u00f1eras y compa\u00f1eros Bases de Apoyo del Ej\u00e9rcito Zapatista de Liberaci\u00f3n Nacional, agradecemos a las y los compa\u00f1eros del CIDECI, que de nueva cuenta nos han brindado estos espacios, para que nos encontremos aqu\u00ed, pueblos originarios zapatistas y cient\u00edficos, como un comienzo de mirar y de caminar de que hacer en el mundo en que vivimos que la est\u00e1 destruyendo el capitalismo.<\/p>\n
Agradecemos tambi\u00e9n a las y los compa\u00f1eros que trabajaron del registro y la coordinaci\u00f3n de este evento.<\/p>\n
Darles las gracias tambi\u00e9n a las y los compa\u00f1eros del equipo de apoyo del transporte<\/p>\n
De antemano compa\u00f1eras y compa\u00f1eros equipos de colectivos, darles las gracias de la chinga que se han parado para llevar a cabo este encuentro. Muchas Gracias.<\/p>\n
Para nosotras, nosotros las, los zapatistas, hoy ha comenzado un nuestro largo caminar, en b\u00fasqueda a las y los otros quienes pensamos que con ell@s tenemos una gran responsabilidad de defender y salvar al mundo en que vivimos, artes de artistas, ciencias de cient\u00edficos y los pueblos originarios con los abajos del mundo entero.<\/p>\n
Porque un pu\u00f1ado de unos cuantos llamados \u201cneoliberalistas capitalistas\u201d han decidido de acabar destruyendo salvajemente todo, sin importar nada, la casa en que vivimos.<\/p>\n
Entonces nos hace pensar y nos preguntamos nosotras, nosotros zapatistas. \u00bfA d\u00f3nde nos vamos a vivir nosotr@s l@s pobres de este mundo, porque ellos, los ricos, tal vez se van a vivir en otro planeta?<\/p>\n
\u00bfQu\u00e9 hacer ahora, ya que la estamos viendo como la est\u00e1n destruyendo nuestra casa?<\/p>\n
\u00bfQu\u00e9 tal si pasa o va pasar que nos llevaran en otro planeta para sus esclavos?<\/p>\n
Entre tantas vueltas de so\u00f1ar, concluimos.<\/p>\n
En el mero de abajo est\u00e1n mujeres y hombres, que estudian ciencia, cient\u00edfica, la buena ciencia. Pero llegan los malvados capitalistas las usan esa ciencia, para hacer un mal al quien descubri\u00f3 esa ciencia, \u00bfCu\u00e1l es el mal?<\/p>\n
1.- Es usado para hacerse m\u00e1s rico al rico, esa ciencia.<\/p>\n
2.- Cambia el rico su destino por la cual fue creado, le da otro uso, a su conveniencia. Mata y destruye con eso.<\/p>\n
M\u00e1s a hora, la est\u00e1n empeorando y entrar\u00e1 m\u00e1s ese empeoramiento en contra de nosotr@s los seres viv@s y la madre naturaleza.<\/p>\n
As\u00ed empez\u00f3 a nacer todo el mal, y sigue y seguir\u00e1, ahora ya est\u00e1 llegando a un punto de mucha gravedad ese mal.<\/p>\n
As\u00ed fue y as\u00ed est\u00e1n utilizado tambi\u00e9n los que hacen arte de artistas, todo lo llevo el capitalismo para hacerle un mal a la sociedad y para su bien del capitalismo.<\/p>\n
Lo que era natural, por naturaleza y los que en ella viven, es decir los pueblos originarios, est\u00e1n para que sean destruidos junto con la madre naturaleza.<\/p>\n
Entonces: Creemos, pensamos, imaginamos.<\/p>\n
Que podemos organizarnos, trabajar y luchar, defender como cimiento que somos, para que este mundo, la casa en donde vivimos, no la desaparezcan esos capitalistas, ahora es la hora, herman@s, compa\u00f1er@s, compa\u00f1eroas, nadie lo har\u00e1 esa salvaci\u00f3n. Somos nosotr@s.<\/p>\n
Pongan a so\u00f1ar y se dar\u00e1n cuenta que contra el capitalismo, s\u00f3lo se puede con la buena ciencia cient\u00edfica, y el arte de artista y los guardianes de la madre naturaleza con los abajos del mundo. Tenemos esa responsabilidad.<\/p>\n
No quiere decir que s\u00f3lo somos los que debemos luchar, no, pero volte\u00e9monos a ver c\u00f3mo est\u00e1n la cosas y nos damos cuenta, que todo lo que tengamos de cosas de utilidades en las casas, es cosa de ciencia de c\u00f3mo naci\u00f3 y toda las figuras de las casa y figuras dentro de las habitaciones es por arte de artistas y donde salieron esos materiales, en la madre naturaleza donde viven los pueblos originarios.<\/p>\n
Entonces es como si fuera que somos el \u201cgermen\u201d de eso.<\/p>\n
M\u00e1s claro.<\/p>\n
\u00bfQui\u00e9n imagin\u00f3 c\u00f3mo hacer un celular el m\u00e1s moderno ahora? Y as\u00ed de miles de mercanc\u00edas que hay ahora, que es para su bien del rico y no para el que tuvo la ciencia y ni para el pueblo.<\/p>\n
\u00bfQui\u00e9n imagin\u00f3 hacer esas im\u00e1genes que hay dentro de los celulares, que ahora es manipulado a todo antojo?<\/p>\n
\u00bfD\u00f3nde salieron esos materiales en la que est\u00e1 compuesta esos celulares? Y as\u00ed en todo de miles de art\u00edculos.<\/p>\n
El capitalismo ha convertido para un mal uso esas ciencias: Para su gran acumulaci\u00f3n de riqueza, manipulaci\u00f3n a su antojo, no tiene responsabilidad de la destrucci\u00f3n en la que hace con ella.<\/p>\n
Sabemos lo que va pasar.<\/p>\n
Otra claridad m\u00e1s.<\/p>\n
Es que somos la sangre del rico para que viva, somos la carne y el hueso para que est\u00e9n vivos y viven para hacernos un mal en este sistema capitalista.<\/p>\n
Los dem\u00e1s \u00f3rganos que faltan, somos los consumidores.<\/p>\n
Descubierto est\u00e1 donde nace el mal en que nos tiene el sistema capitalista.<\/p>\n
Est\u00e1 en nuestras manos nuestra sobrevivencia, o la otra construcci\u00f3n de un mundo nuevo.<\/p>\n
Hoy estamos aqu\u00ed, no para decirnos qu\u00e9 tenemos que hacer, sino para conocernos cu\u00e1l es nuestra funci\u00f3n que nos tiene el capitalismo en este mundo, y para ver si es un bien lo que nos hace hacer el capitalismo para este mundo en que vivimos con los seres humanos y los seres vivos.<\/p>\n
Y si descubrimos que est\u00e1 totalmente mal, el mal uso que hace el capitalismo de nuestras ciencias, entonces tenemos que hacernos responsables y entonces tenemos que decidir lo que tenemos que hacer.<\/p>\n
Antes de terminar compa\u00f1eras y compa\u00f1eros, hermanas y hermanos, hoy 26 de diciembre, no olvidaremos que nos faltan vidas, la vida de los 46 j\u00f3venes ausentes de Ayotzinapa, Guerrero.<\/p>\n
Junto con los familiares y conocidos que siguen busc\u00e1ndolos y no se rinden, ni se vende, nosotras, nosotros zapatistas tambi\u00e9n exigimos justicia y verdad. A esas madres, padres, hermanas y hermanos de los ausentes, les damos nuestro mejor abrazo colectivo.<\/p>\n
As\u00ed que bienvenid@s a este encuentro, a este largo caminar de otras ciencias y que no haya descanso, que el descanso marque porque ya est\u00e1 construido el otro mundo nuevo y si no hay eso no habr\u00e1 descanso.<\/p>\n

Words of the General Command of the EZLN in the name of the Zapatista women, men, children and elders at the opening of the Gathering \u201cThe Zapatistas and ConSciences for Humanity\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n Listen to the audio: [podcast]https:\/\/radiozapatista.org\/Audios\/001_moisesinauguracion.mp3[\/podcast]<\/p>\n Good morning.<\/p>\n Compa\u00f1eras, compa\u00f1eros of Mexico and of the world:<\/p>\n Brothers and sisters of Mexico and of the world:<\/p>\n First and foremost, in the name of the compa\u00f1eras and compa\u00f1eros who are Bases of Support of the Zapatista Army for National Liberation, we thank all of the compa\u00f1er@s of CIDECI who once again have provided us with these spaces so that we, Zapatista originary peoples and scientists, can gather here as a way to begin to look and walk toward what must be done in this world we live in, which capitalism is destroying.<\/p>\n We also thank the compa\u00f1eros who have worked on registration and coordination for this event.<\/p>\n We also thank the compa\u00f1er@s from the transport support team.<\/p>\n We thank you in advance, compa\u00f1eras and compa\u00f1eros of the various teams and collectives for the shitload of work that you have done to make this gathering happen. Many thanks.<\/p>\n For we as Zapatista men and women, today begins our long walk in search of others with whom we think share the great responsibility to defend and save the world we live in \u2013 with the art of artists, the science of scientists, and the originary peoples alongside those below from across the entire world.<\/p>\n A handful of some so-called \u201cneoliberal capitalists\u201d have decided to savagely destroy everything, caring nothing at all for this house that we live in.<\/p>\n This makes us Zapatistas think and ask ourselves:<\/p>\n Where are we poor people of the world going to live, because they, the rich, might just go and live on another planet?<\/p>\n What should we do now, as we see that they are destroying our house?<\/p>\n Or what happens if they take us to another planet to be their slaves?<\/p>\n After turning this over many times in our heads, we conclude that:<\/p>\n Below there are women and men who study science, who study scientifically, who do good science. But the wicked capitalists come along and use this science to do harm to the very people who discovered that science. What kind of harm?<\/p>\n They use science to make the rich richer.<\/p>\n The rich use it as they choose, for a destiny other than that for which it was created. They use it to kill and destroy.<\/p>\n Now it is getting worse for them up there, and that will be used even more harshly against us living beings and our mother earth.<\/p>\n That is how all of these bad things began and how they continue, bringing us to a very dire point today.<\/p>\n This is how things happened, and in the same way they use the artists who make art \u2013 capitalism uses everything to the detriment of society and for the good of capitalism. What was natural, nature and those who live within it, which is to say the originary peoples, will be destroyed along with mother nature.<\/p>\n Therefore, we believe, think, and imagine.<\/p>\n We can organize ourselves, work, struggle, and defend who we are \u2013 the foundation of this world \u2013 so that this world, the house in which we live, can\u2019t be disappeared by the capitalists. Now is the time, brothers and sisters, compa\u00f1er@s, compa\u00f1eroas; no one is going to bring us salvation. It is up to us.<\/p>\n Begin to dream and you will see that we can only fight capitalism with good scientific science, the art of the artist, and the guardians of mother nature together with those below from across the world. This is our responsibility.<\/p>\n I don\u2019t mean to say that we are the only ones who should struggle, not at all. But when we look around at how things are, we realize that all of the useful things that we have in our houses are a matter of science, in terms of where they came from, and all of the figures and figurines in our houses and rooms are the art of artists, and all of the materials for these things come from mother nature, where the originary peoples live.<\/p>\n It is as if we are the \u201cseeds\u201d of all of this.<\/p>\n Let\u2019s put it even more clearly.<\/p>\n Who figured out how to make today\u2019s most modern cellphone? It\u2019s the same for thousands of other products \u2013 they are used to benefit the rich, and not for the use science intended, nor for the people.<\/p>\n Who figured out how to make the images that are held within cellphones which are now manipulated on any whim?<\/p>\n Where did the materials that cellphones are made of come from? The same question goes for thousands of other goods.<\/p>\n Capitalism has converted science into something used for harm: something to feed its massive accumulation of wealth; something to manipulate at its every whim. It takes no responsibility for the destruction it has wrought with these actions.<\/p>\n We know what will happen.<\/p>\n One more point of clarity.<\/p>\n We are the lifeblood of the rich; we are the flesh and bone that make their lives possible, and the rest of the organs (in this body) are made up of the consumers; meanwhile, they live to do us harm in this capitalist system.<\/p>\n The origin of the evil the capitalist system wreaks on us is revealed.<\/p>\n Our survival, and the other construction of a new world, is in our hands.<\/p>\n Today we are here not to tell each other what to do, but to understand what our function is to capitalism in this world, and to see if what capitalism has us doing is any good for this world that we live in, human and living beings.<\/p>\n And if we discover that it is entirely bad, that the use capitalism makes of our sciences is harmful, then we have to take responsibility and decide what to do.<\/p>\n Before I finish compa\u00f1eras and compa\u00f1eros, sisters and brothers, today December 26, we do not forget that there are lives missing from our midst, the life of the 46 missing young people from Ayotzinapa, Guerrero.<\/p>\n Together with their families and friends who continue to search for them and who do not give up or sell out, we Zapatista men and women also demand truth and justice.
