COMUNICADO CONJUNTO DEL CNI Y EL EZLN EN SOLIDARIDAD CON LA COMUNIDAD IND\u00cdGENA DE SANTA MAR\u00cdA OSTULA, MICHOAC\u00c1N.<\/h4>\n

A la comunidad nahua de Santa Mar\u00eda Ostula, Michoac\u00e1n:
\nA los pueblos del mundo:
\nA la sociedad civil nacional e internacional:
\nA los medios libres de comunicaci\u00f3n:<\/p>\n

Los pueblos, naciones y tribus que somos el Congreso Nacional Ind\u00edgena y el Ej\u00e9rcito Zapatista de Liberaci\u00f3n Nacional, manifestamos nuestro profundo repudio a las acciones que los malos gobiernos y las bandas criminales realizan al un\u00edsono en contra de la comunidad ind\u00edgena nahua de Santa Mar\u00eda Ostula, municipio de Aquila, Michoac\u00e1n, para tratar de acabar con su digna e hist\u00f3rica lucha.<\/p>\n

Los gobiernos no s\u00f3lo fueron c\u00f3mplices del atentado en contra de Ceme\u00ed Verd\u00eda el 25 de mayo de 2015, sino que liber\u00f3 a los culpables Juan Hern\u00e1ndez Ram\u00edrez (entonces presidente municipal de Aquila) y Jos\u00e9 Antioco Calvillo.\u00a0 Encarcel\u00f3 a Ceme\u00ed Verd\u00eda con cargos inventados y asesin\u00f3 al ni\u00f1o Hidelberto Reyes Garc\u00eda.<\/p>\n

Los malos gobiernos ahora pretenden detener al comandante Germ\u00e1n Ram\u00edrez, fabric\u00e1ndole delitos y culpas a quienes luchan y defienden la tierra y a sus familias.\u00a0 Mientras, al mismo tiempo, se reagrupan los miembros del cartel de los Caballeros Templarios que ya se encuentran reorganizados y fuertemente armados al oriente del municipio de Aquila.<\/p>\n

El delito de los comuneros, polic\u00edas comunitarios de Ostula y autodefensas de la sierra costa de Michoac\u00e1n, ha sido no aceptar la muerte y el terror que los malos gobiernos y la delincuencia organizada en la regi\u00f3n ofrecen como \u00fanica opci\u00f3n.\u00a0 En cambio, con su resistencia y rebeld\u00eda Ostula no s\u00f3lo nos ha ense\u00f1ado la dignidad de un pueblo organizado, sino que ha demostrado al mundo que es posible construir la paz y la justicia en medio de la destrucci\u00f3n en la que los capitalistas han sumergido a este pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n

Denunciamos este nuevo ataque a la comunidad ind\u00edgena de Ostula y responsabilizamos de esta agresi\u00f3n a los malos gobiernos, a Enrique Pe\u00f1a Nieto y a Silvano Aureoles, c\u00f3mplices de los l\u00edderes templarios El Tena, El Tuco, Chuy Playas y Federico Gonz\u00e1lez (Lico) a quien la comunidad ha se\u00f1alado en numerosas ocasiones como el responsable del asesinato de 34 comuneros y la desaparici\u00f3n de 6.\u00a0 Los responsabilizamos por la sangre que quieren ver correr para proteger sus negocios capitalistas, de proteger en lugar de buscar y detener a los l\u00edderes templarios, de garantizar la impunidad a los militares asesinos del ni\u00f1o Hidelberto, de buscar a toda costa despojar las tierras comunales y recursos naturales, de buscar asesinar esa esperanza para este pa\u00eds que se llama Santa Mar\u00eda Ostula.<\/p>\n

Expresamos nuestra respeto y solidaridad con las movilizaciones de la comunidad a quien decimos que en el coraz\u00f3n colectivo del Congreso Nacional Ind\u00edgena brilla una intensa luz alimentada por la dignidad de Ostula y llamamos a los pueblos originarios y sociedad civil de M\u00e9xico y mundo, a la sexta nacional e internacional, y a los medios de comunicaci\u00f3n honestos a estar atentos y solidarios.<\/p>\n

To the Nahua community of Santa Mar\u00eda Ostula, Michoac\u00e1n:
\nTo the peoples of the world:
\nTo national and international civil society:
\nTo the independent media:<\/p>\n

The peoples, nations, and tribes who make up the National Indigenous Congress and the Zapatista Army for National Liberation manifest our profound condemnation of the actions carried out in unison by the bad governments and criminal groups against the Nahua indigenous community of Santa Mar\u00eda Ostula, municipality of Aquila, Michoac\u00e1n, in an attempt to crush their dignified and historic struggle.<\/p>\n

These governments were not only complicit in the attack against Ceme\u00ed Verd\u00eda on May 25, 2015, but in fact freed those directly responsible, Juan Hern\u00e1ndez Ram\u00edrez (then municipal president of Aquila) and Jos\u00e9 Antioco Calvillo. They [the government] imprisoned Ceme\u00ed Verd\u00eda on false charges and murdered the young boy Hidelberto Reyes Garc\u00eda.<\/p>\n

The bad governments now intend to arrest commander Germ\u00e1n Ram\u00edrez, fabricating criminal charges against those who struggle to defend the land and their families. At the same time, we see the regrouping of members of the Knights Templar cartel who are already reorganized and heavily armed in the eastern part of the municipality of Aquila.<\/p>\n

The crime of the community members, the community police of Ostula, and the self-defense forces of the Sierra Costa of Michoac\u00e1n was to refuse to accept the death and terror that the bad governments and organized crime in the region offered as the only option. In contrast, Ostula\u2019s resistance and rebellion has not only shown us the dignity of an organized people, but demonstrated to the world that it is possible to build peace and justice in the midst of the destruction wrought by capitalists on this country.<\/p>\n

We denounce this new attack on the indigenous community of Ostula and hold responsible the bad governments, Enrique Pe\u00f1a Nieto, and Silvano Aureoles, accomplices of the Knights Templar leaders El Tena, El Tuco, Chuy Playas, and Federico Gonz\u00e1lez (Lico), who have been identified by the community on numerous occasions as those culpable of the murder of 34 community members and the disappearance of 6 more. We hold them responsible for the blood they want to see spilled in order to protect their capitalist businesses, for protecting instead of pursuing and arresting the Knights Templar leaders, for guaranteeing impunity to the soldiers who murdered the child Hidelberto, for seeking the dispossession of communal lands and natural resources at all costs, and for attempting to kill off the hope of this country that goes by the name Santa Mar\u00eda Ostula.<\/p>\n

We express our respect for and solidarity with that community\u2019s mobilizations and want them to know that at the collective heart of the National Indigenous Congress shines an intense light fueled by Ostula\u2019s dignity. We call on the originary peoples and civil society of Mexico and the world, on the national and international Sixth, and on the honest media to be attentive and in solidarity.<\/p>\n
