SOLIDARIDAD.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Julio del 2016.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Compa\u00f1eroas<\/em><\/strong> de la Sexta:<br \/>\nArtistas de los 5 continentes:<br \/>\nMagisterio en Resistencia:<\/p>\n<p>Como ya saben, hemos decidido suspender nuestra participaci\u00f3n en el festival <strong><em>CompArte<\/em><\/strong>.\u00a0 Claro que, para quien sabe leer con atenci\u00f3n, no dijimos que se suspende el festival.\u00a0 Simplemente lo que hicimos es se\u00f1alar que nosotras, nosotros, zapatistas, no vamos a poder compartir.\u00a0 Y por eso, si alguien pensaba en eso y lo mismo le lleva a no participar, pues dec\u00edamos que nos disculpen porque lo sabemos que hizo su gasto.\u00a0 A las Artes nadie debe de darles \u00f3rdenes.\u00a0 Si hay un sin\u00f3nimo de libertad, tal vez el \u00faltimo reducto de humanidad en situaciones l\u00edmite, son las artes.\u00a0 Nosotros, nosotras, zapatistas, no podemos, ni debemos, ni se nos ha cruzado siquiera por la mente, que les digamos a l@s trabajador@s del arte y la cultura cu\u00e1ndo deben crear o cuando no.\u00a0 O, peor a\u00fan, imponerles un tema y reeditar, ahora con la coartada de los pueblos originarios en rebeld\u00eda, \u201crevoluciones culturales\u201d, \u201crealismos\u201d y dem\u00e1s arbitrariedades que lo \u00fanico que esconden es un comisario y polic\u00eda que determina cu\u00e1l es \u201cbuen arte\u201d y cu\u00e1l no.<\/p>\n<p>No hermanas, hermanos y <strong><em>hermanoas<\/em><\/strong> artistas.\u00a0 Para nosotras, nosotros, zapatistas, las artes son una esperanza de humanidad, no una c\u00e9lula militante.\u00a0 Pensamos s\u00ed, que es en los momentos m\u00e1s dif\u00edciles, cuando es m\u00e1s la desilusi\u00f3n y la impotencia, que las Artes son las \u00fanicas capaces de celebrar la humanidad.<\/p>\n<p>Para nosotras, nosotros, zapatistas, ustedes, junto con l@s cient\u00edfic@s, son tan importantes que no imaginamos ma\u00f1ana alguno sin su quehacer.<\/p>\n<p>Pero eso ya ser\u00e1 tema de alguna carta posterior.<\/p>\n<p>Lo que ahora queremos es cumplir un debe con ustedes.\u00a0 Porque desde el 15 de junio del 2016, fecha final para registro, ten\u00edamos preparado un informe para comunicarles c\u00f3mo estaba lo del Festival de <strong><em>CompArte<\/em><\/strong>. \u00a0Desgraciadamente, la situaci\u00f3n nacional se fue tensando (debido a la irresponsabilidad del ni\u00f1o con la caja de cerillos que despacha en la SEP) y lo fuimos posponiendo hasta que se lleg\u00f3 a la decisi\u00f3n que ya les hemos trasmitido.<\/p>\n<p>Como quiera, es bueno que sepan c\u00f3mo iba el <strong><em>CompArte<\/em><\/strong>.\u00a0 Aqu\u00ed en forma sint\u00e9tica:<\/p>\n<p>Se registraron 1127 artistas nacionales y rescatando la cultura popular y sus parodias musicales (que s\u00f3lo son superadas por la realidad) todav\u00eda suenan en las monta\u00f1as zapatistas y, tal vez, tambi\u00e9n en los lugares donde el magisterio resiste.<\/p>\n<p>L@s artistas participantes de menor edad son: un ni\u00f1o de 6 a\u00f1os, que baila son jarocho con el Colectivo Altepee; el Coro de ni\u00f1os del Huitepec, cuyas edades van de los 3 a los 11 a\u00f1os; una ni\u00f1a, de diez a\u00f1os, que toca el caj\u00f3n de tapeo con la Banda Mixante\u00f1a de Santa Cecilia: y una ni\u00f1a, de diez a\u00f1os, que toca el responder tambi\u00e9n el c\u00f3mo, cu\u00e1ndo, y los etc\u00e9teras de costumbre.\u00a0 Pensamos que, si son capaces de maravillar al mundo con su quehacer, bien podr\u00edan organizarse para celebrar la humanidad frente a la m\u00e1quina.<\/p>\n<p>Nosotros, nosotras, zapatistas, hemos suspendido (no cancelado) nuestra participaci\u00f3n.\u00a0 Pensamos, creemos, tenemos la esperanza que ya habr\u00e1 d\u00edas m\u00e1s limpios en que podamos hacerlo.\u00a0 No sabemos, tal vez, cuando la fiesta del cumplea\u00f1ero, el Congreso Nacional Ind\u00edgena.\u00a0 Pero no queremos comprometernos porque qu\u00e9 tal que\u2026<\/p>\n<p><strong>El <em>CompArte<\/em> Zapatista.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Pero, aprovechando que estamos en el tema, les informamos tambi\u00e9n c\u00f3mo iba a estar nuestra compartici\u00f3n art\u00edstica.\u00a0 Bueno, no mejor les contamos esto: el Comandante Tacho nos dijo, palabras m\u00e1s, palabras menos, \u201cHay un compa que hizo su canci\u00f3n, o sea que la hizo completa, o sea la letra y la m\u00fasica.\u00a0 Y en su pueblo se hizo un grupo musical.\u00a0 Cuando estaba la selecci\u00f3n en el caracol de La Realidad o sea donde ve\u00edamos todo lo de los pueblos y se iba seleccionando quienes van a Oventik, lo escuch\u00e9 su canci\u00f3n que es el tema de la resistencia.\u00a0 Qu\u00e9 va a ser, sup, ese compa apenas era pichito cuando nos alzamos en 1994 y explica la resistencia mejor que yo con su canci\u00f3n.\u00a0 Hasta no s\u00e9 si le aplaudo o saco el cuaderno para tomar apunte.\u00a0 Ora s\u00ed que rozan mero al ras\u201d.\u00a0 El Comandante Zebedeo nos cuenta tambi\u00e9n: \u201cun compa se me acerc\u00f3 y me dijo que pues est\u00e1 cabr\u00f3n la situaci\u00f3n, que \u00e9l cre\u00eda que tal vez no se va a hacer porque lo atacan mucho a los maestros.\u00a0 Pero que \u00e9l est\u00e1 contento porque, dijo, \u201cyo no sab\u00eda que pod\u00eda cantar, ahora ya s\u00e9 que s\u00ed puedo cantar y hasta hacer mis propias canciones donde platico c\u00f3mo es nuestro modo de ser zapatistas.\u00a0 Aunque no haya el festival, estoy contento.\u00a0 Adem\u00e1s, tal vez ahora no, pero de repente otra vuelta s\u00ed\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Y si ustedes, artistas, compas de la Sexta, tratan de imaginarse c\u00f3mo ser\u00edan las participaciones art\u00edsticas zapatistas, pues aqu\u00ed les ponemos un video.\u00a0 Tal vez otro d\u00eda le ponemos m\u00e1s, o fotos, porque le batallamos para esto del internet.\u00a0 El bailable es creado por un colectivo de la Zona de Los Altos, en el Caracol de Oventik.\u00a0 No sabemos si se dice bailable o coreograf\u00eda, pero se llama resistencia y la m\u00fasica es un mix de la rola de Mc Lokoter, \u201cEsta tierra que me vio nacer\u201d, y una rola de ska del grupo espa\u00f1ol que se llama SKA-P, \u201cEl Vals del Obrero\u201d.\u00a0 El significado del bailable lo explica la maestra de la <strong><em>ceremo\u00f1a<\/em><\/strong>.\u00a0 El video fue producido por \u201cLos Tercios Compas\u201d en una de las presentaciones para selecci\u00f3n de Oventik, hace ya m\u00e1s de dos meses (o sea que no suspendimos por no estar preparados).\u00a0 Va pues. \u00a1aaaaaaaal brincol\u00ednnnnnnnn!<\/p>\n<p><center><br \/>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ijVpIMZAr1w?feature=oembed\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/center><br \/>\nBueno, ya que recuperamos el aliento, les decimos, en el detalle posible, el apoyo material que, como se\u00f1al de solidaridad, respeto y admiraci\u00f3n, vamos a entregar al magisterio en resistencia en diversos puntos de Chiapas, M\u00e9xico.<\/p>\n<p>Pero primero\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Iban a participar artistas de tojolabal, zoque, mame, chol, tzetal, tzotzil y mestizo de los 5 caracoles, as\u00ed como escuchas y oyentes de las bases de apoyo zapatistas.<\/p>\n<p>Del Caracol de Roberto Barrios (zona norte de Chiapas): 254 artistas y 80 escuchas-videntes.<\/p>\n<p>Del Caracol de La Realidad (zona Selva Fronteriza): 221 artistas y 179 escuchas-videntes.<\/p>\n<p>Del Caracol de La Garrucha (zona Selva Tzeltal): 311 artistas y 99 escuchas-videntes.<\/p>\n<p>Del Caracol de Morelia (zona Tzotz Choj): 276 artistas y 88 escuchas-videntes.<\/p>\n<p>Del Caracol de Oventik (zona Los Altos de Chiapas): 757 artistas y 1120 escuchas-videntes.<\/p>\n<p>En total: 1819 artistas y 1566 escuchas-videntes.\u00a0 Total por todo: 3385 hombres, mujeres, ni\u00f1os y ancianos bases de apoyo zapatistas.<\/p>\n<p><strong>La Alimentaci\u00f3n como arte de la resistencia.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Los recursos para los artistas zapatistas variaban seg\u00fan cada caracol, porque en algunos lados unas cosas se consiguen m\u00e1s caras o m\u00e1s baratas.\u00a0 Pero el gasto promedio en alimentaci\u00f3n era de $12.08 pesos por artista zapatista al d\u00eda.\u00a0 Todo lo que se hab\u00eda juntado para nuestra participaci\u00f3n, contando los 5 caracoles, ascend\u00eda a la cantidad de $ 290, 000.00 (doscientos noventa mil pesos monedad nacional).\u00a0 Claro, antes de la pr\u00f3xima devaluaci\u00f3n\u2026 err, s\u00ed, perd\u00f3n, nada de spoilers.<\/p>\n<p>\u00bfDe d\u00f3nde sali\u00f3 la paga?\u00a0 \u00bfDel registro en el INE?\u00a0 \u00bfDel programa PROSPERA? \u00bfDel crimen organizado o desorganizado \u2013 o sea el mal gobierno-? \u00bfDe alguna ONG?\u00a0 \u00bfDe una potencia extranjera interesada en fomentar las Artes para desestabilizar la \u201ctranquilidad\u201d en M\u00e9xico? No, compas, la paga sali\u00f3 del trabajo de colectivos de producci\u00f3n en los pueblos, regiones y zonas, as\u00ed como de los MAREZ y Juntas de Buen Gobierno.\u00a0 O sea que es paga limpia, obtenida como la que obtiene la inmensa mayor\u00eda del pueblo de M\u00e9xico y del mundo: del trabajo.<\/p>\n<p>\u00bfEs mucho o es poco?<\/p>\n<p>Bueno, con eso el consumo promedio DIARIO de alimentaci\u00f3n de un artista zapatista, por ejemplo, de Roberto Barrios, en los 7 d\u00edas que iba a durar nuestra compartici\u00f3n es de:<\/p>\n<p>171 gramos de frijol<br \/>\n50 gramos de arroz.<br \/>\n21 mililitros de aceite.<br \/>\n0.02 de bolsa de sopa<br \/>\n20 gramos de az\u00facar.<br \/>\n8 gramos de sal<br \/>\n1.17 tostada.<\/p>\n<p>Bueno \u00bfy ahora qu\u00e9 se va a hacer con eso?, \u00bfqu\u00e9 es lo que le van a donar al magisterio en resistencia?<\/p>\n<p><strong><br \/>\nLa Solidaridad Zapatista.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Los compas se organizaron por caracol para entregar el apoyo seg\u00fan lo siguiente:<\/p>\n<p>El caracol de La Realidad va a entregar al magisterio en resistencia lo siguiente:<\/p>\n<p>570 kilos de frijol.<br \/>\n420 kilos de arroz.<br \/>\n350 kilos de az\u00facar.<br \/>\n15 litros de aceite.<br \/>\n21 kilos de jab\u00f3n.<br \/>\n21 kilos de sal.<br \/>\n28 kilos de caf\u00e9.<br \/>\n1571 kilos de ma\u00edz no transg\u00e9nico.<br \/>\n840 kilos de tostadas.<br \/>\n400 kilos de pinole.<br \/>\n5 tinas para cocinar.<br \/>\n5 cucharones.<br \/>\n5 \u00e1nforas.<br \/>\n4 cajitas de medicina.<\/p>\n<p>Una comisi\u00f3n del caracol de La Realidad entregar\u00e1 esto al magisterio en resistencia en Comit\u00e1n, Chiapas, el d\u00eda 9 de julio del 2016, a las\u2026 bueno, lo que tarden en llegar.<\/p>\n<p>El caracol de Roberto Barrios va a entregar:<\/p>\n<p>400 kilos de frijol.<br \/>\n250 kilos de arroz.<br \/>\n125 kilos de sopa.<br \/>\n24 kilos de sal.<br \/>\n24 litros aceite.<br \/>\n15 kilos de caf\u00e9.<br \/>\n10 kilos de jab\u00f3n.<br \/>\n3 kilos de chile.<br \/>\n10 kilos de cebolla.<br \/>\n30 kilos de tomate.<br \/>\n50 kilos de az\u00facar.<br \/>\n320 kilos de pinole.<br \/>\n620 kilos tostadas.<br \/>\n1000 kilos de chayote, camote, yuca y pl\u00e1tano.<\/p>\n<p>Una comisi\u00f3n del caracol de Roberto Barrios entregar\u00e1 esto al magisterio en resistencia en Playas de Catazaj\u00e1, Chiapas, el d\u00eda 8 de julio del 2016.\u00a0 Ya fue una comisi\u00f3n y ya se pusieron de acuerdo con los maestros ah\u00ed para la entrega.<\/p>\n<p>El caracol de La Garrucha va a entregar:<\/p>\n<p>300 kilos de frijol.<br \/>\n150 kilos de arroz.<br \/>\n150 kilos de az\u00facar.<br \/>\n20 kilos de caf\u00e9.<br \/>\n15 kilos de sal.<br \/>\n1 caja de jab\u00f3n.<br \/>\n60 mil tostadas.<\/p>\n<p>Una comisi\u00f3n del caracol de La Garrucha entregar\u00e1 esto al magisterio en resistencia en San Crist\u00f3bal de Las Casas, Chiapas, el d\u00eda 9 de julio del 2016.<\/p>\n<p>El caracol de Morelia va a entregar:<\/p>\n<p>1, 044 kilos de ma\u00edz no transg\u00e9nico.<br \/>\n500 kilos de frijol.<br \/>\n300 kilos de arroz.<br \/>\n250 kilos de Of course, for those who know how to read carefully, we didn\u2019t say that the festival itself was suspended. We merely indicated that we as Zapatistas would not be able to contribute. So if someone thought the former and decides not to participate, well then we apologize because we know you already took on expenses. No one should give orders to the Arts. If there is a synonym for freedom, perhaps the last bastion of humanity in the worst situations, it is the arts. We Zapatistas neither can nor should\u2014nor has it even crossed our minds\u2014to tell the workers of art and culture when they should create or not. Or worse, impose a topic on them and, using the originary peoples in rebellion as justification, drag out concepts of \u201ccultural revolutions,\u201d \u201crealisms,\u201d and other arbitrary notions that merely hide what is some kind of cop determining what is \u201cgood art\u201d or not.<\/p>\n<p>No, artist sisters and brothers [<em>hermanas, hermanos<strong>, hermanoas<\/strong><\/em>]; for us Zapatistas, the arts are the hope of humanity, not a militant cell. We think that indeed, in the most difficult moments, when disillusionment and impotence are at a peak, the Arts are the only thing capable of celebrating humanity.<\/p>\n<p>For us Zapatistas, you, along with scientists [<em>l@s cient\u00edfic@s<\/em>], are so important that we cannot imagine a future without your work.<\/p>\n<p>But that is a subject for a later letter.<\/p>\n<p>The task here is to honor a commitment to you all. As of June 15, 2016, the last day for registration, we had a report prepared to let you know how the <strong><em>CompArte<\/em><\/strong> Festival was coming. Unfortunately, the national situation got progressively tenser (thanks to the irresponsibility of that child with a box of matches who works out of the SEP [Department of Public Education]), and we kept postponing it until coming to the decision that we have already told you about.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->In any case, it\u2019s good for you to know how the <strong><em>CompArte<\/em><\/strong> was coming along. That question is for all of you. And the answer should include how, where, and the customary etcetera\u2019s. We think that if you are capable of aweing the world with your work, you can surely organize yourselves to celebrate humanity in the face of the machine.<\/p>\n<p>We Zapatistas have suspended (not cancelled) our participation. We think, we believe, and we hope that there will be cleaner days in which to offer it. We don\u2019t know when, maybe for the birthday party of the National Indigenous Congress, but we don\u2019t want to commit ourselves because what if\u2026<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Zapatista <em>CompArte<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>But since we\u2019re on the topic, we want to let you know what our artistic contribution was going to be like. Well, better yet, we\u2019ll tell you what Comandante Tacho told us, in so many words: \u201cThere is a <em>compa<\/em> who created his song, he finished the whole thing, that is, the lyrics and the music. And in his community they started a band. In the selection process in the <em>caracol<\/em> of La Realidad, where we were evaluating contributions from all of the communities to select which ones would go to Oventik, I heard his song, which is about resistance. Just imagine, sup, this <em>compa<\/em> was just a little thing when we rose up in 1994 and his song explained the resistance better than I could. I didn\u2019t know whether to applaud or take notes. Now we\u2019re really getting somewhere.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Comandante Zebedeo also told us: \u201cone <em>compa<\/em> came up to me and said that the situation was pretty bad, that he thought maybe they wouldn\u2019t be able to have the festival because of all the attacks against the teachers. But he was happy because, as he said, \u201cI didn\u2019t know I could sing; now I know I can sing and I can even create my own songs where I talk about how we Zapatistas do things. Even if there isn\u2019t a festival, I\u2019m happy. What\u2019s more, even if it doesn\u2019t happen this time, perhaps we can do it another time.<\/p>\n<p>And if you, artists, <em>compas<\/em> of the Sixth, are trying to imagine what the Zapatista artistic contributions would be like, well we\u2019re including a video here. Maybe another day we\u2019ll put up more, or maybe photos, because we really struggle with this internet thing. This dance in the video was created by a collective from the Altos zone, in the <em>caracol<\/em> of Oventik. We don\u2019t know if it\u2019s called dance or choreography, but it is called resistance and the music is a mix of the track by Mc Lokoter \u201c<em>Esta tierra que me vio nacer<\/em>\u201d [This land birthed me], and a ska track, \u201c<em>El Vals del Obrero<\/em>\u201d [The Worker\u2019s Waltz] from the Spanish group SKA-P. The MC at the beginning explains the meaning of the dance. The video was produced by \u201c<em>Los Tercios Compas<\/em>\u201d in one of the selection rounds for who would go to Oventik, a little over two months ago (meaning, we didn\u2019t suspend our participation because we weren\u2019t prepared). Grand total: 3,385 men, women, children, and elders, Zapatista bases of support.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Food as an art of resistance<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The resources set aside for the Zapatista artists varied according to each <em>caracol<\/em>, because the cost of things can be pricier or cheaper in different places. But the average food expense was $12.08 <em>pesos<\/em> per Zapatista artist per day. Everything we had put together for our participation, including all five <em>caracoles<\/em>, amounted to $290,000.00 (two hundred ninety thousand Mexican <em>pesos<\/em>). Of course, that\u2019s before the next currency devaluation\u2026err, yes, apologies, no more spoilers.<\/p>\n<p>Where did the money come from? From the INE [National Electoral Institute in Mexico]? From the PROSPERA [government aid] program? From organized or disorganized crime\u2014that is, the bad government? From some NGO? From a foreign power interested in promoting the Arts in order to destabilize Mexico\u2019s \u201ctranquility?\u201d No <em>compas<\/em>, the money came from the work of the production collectives across the communities, regions, and zones, as well as from the MAREZ [Zapatista Autonomous Municipalities in Rebellion] and the Good Government Councils. That is, it\u2019s clean money, earned the way the immense majority of people of Mexico and the world earn: from work.<\/p>\n<p>Is it a lot or a little?<\/p>\n<p>Well, the average DAILY food consumption of a Zapatista artist, for example, in Roberto Barrios, during the 7 days that our participation would have lasted is:<\/p>\n<p>171 grams of beans<\/p>\n<p>50 grams of rice<\/p>\n<p>21 milliliters of cooking oil<\/p>\n<p>0.02 of a bag of pasta<\/p>\n<p>20 grams of sugar<\/p>\n<p>8 grams of salt<\/p>\n<p>1.17 <em>tostadas<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Now, what are they going to do with all that?
