Somos\u00a0Movimiento por Justicia del Barrio, una organizaci\u00f3n de inmigrantes en El Barrio de Nueva York que lucha por ladignidad humana\u00a0y  en contra\u00a0del desplazamiento de las comunidades. Nosotr@s luchamos por  la liberaci\u00f3n de todos los grupos marginados, como lo son los\u00a0inmigrantes,  los pueblos indigenas, las mujeres, los homosexuales, las\u00a0lesbianas y  los transg\u00e9neros, y de todos los pobres del mundo. Somos\u00a0parte de La  Otra Campa\u00f1a.<\/p>\n<p>Les damos las gracias por permitirnos compartir esta humilde\u00a0propuesta. Desde donde estamos en Nueva York, en el otro lado, nos\u00a0llena de dolor y rabia sabiendo la  situacion que enfrentan nuestr@s\u00a0hermanos y herman@s de San Sebastian Bachaj\u00f3n, adherentes de La Otra\u00a0Campa\u00f1a.<\/p>\n<p>El  pasado 3 de febrero fueron atacados y se priv\u00f3 de su libertad a  los\u00a0ejidatarios que est\u00e1n defendiendo sus tierras, su espacio, el  lugar\u00a0donde nacieron, en San Sebastian Bachaj\u00f3n, Chiapas. Diez  ejidatarios\u00a0que defend\u00edan la cascada de Agua Azul de la rapacidad de las  empresas\u00a0transnacionales permanecen en la c\u00e1rcel ilegalmente.<\/p>\n<p>Ellos  han sido tomados como rehenes como parte de una estrategia para que el  mal gobierno y las corporaciones multinacionales puedan\u00a0apoderarse de  sus recursos naturales que hay en su ejido. Ahora\u00a0enfrentan un sistema  judicial que no imparte justicia sino venganzas\u00a0contra quienes no se  dobleguen ante los intereses del mal gobierno.<\/p>\n<p>Es por ello, herman@s, que apelamos a su generosidad y a su\u00a0comprensi\u00f3n para exigirle al gobernador  represor\u00a0Juan Sabines Guerrero\u00a0que libere a los 10 presos injustamente detenidos.<\/p>\n<p>Por esto, proponemos que todos junt@s unemos nuestras fuerzas\u00a0organizando acciones\u00a0 -desde su localidad y con sus diferentes formas\u00a0de lucha- como manifestaciones, marchas, actos callejeros\u00a0informativos, repartici\u00f3n de volantes, foros publicos, teatro,\u00a0concentraciones informativas y cualquier otra actividad para realizar\u00a0el\u00a0<strong>Dia Mundial por la Liberacion de los Presos Politicos de San <\/strong><strong>Sebastian Bachaj\u00f3n<\/strong> el Lunes 7 de marzo del 2011.<\/p>\n<p>Tambien  proponemos que este martes 8 de marzo sea un dia para celebrar\u00a0a todas  las mujeres de La Otra Campa\u00f1a.\u00a0 L@s invitamos a organizar\u00a0actividades  para el\u00a0<strong>Dia Internacional en Honor a las Mujeres de La\u00a0Otra Campa\u00f1a<\/strong>. Ese dia hay que celebrar a las valientes mujeres de\u00a0San\u00a0Sebasti\u00e1n\u00a0Bachaj\u00f3n,  a las mujeres de las comunidades aut\u00f3nomas\u00a0zapatistas que dignamente  resisten la represi\u00f3n de los gobiernos\u00a0estatal y federal, a las mujeres  del Este de Harlem en Nueva\u00a0York que desde aqu\u00ed resisten y luchan en  contra del  desplazamiento y\u00a0la rapacidad de las transnacionales y a TODAS las  mujeres de La Otra\u00a0Campa\u00f1a por su digna lucha desde abajo y a la  izquierda\u00a0por un mundo\u00a0nuevo.<\/p>\n<p>Les pedimos que por favor nos dejen saber, lo mas pronto posible, si\u00a0aceptan nuestra propuesta y si participaran. We are<br \/>\nMovement for Justice in El Barrio, an organization of immigrants in El<br \/>\nBarrio,\u00a0New York City\u00a0that fights for human dignity and against community<br \/>\ndisplacement. We fight for the liberation of every marginalized group,<br \/>\nincluding immigrants, people of color, women, gays, lesbians,<br \/>\ntransgender communities, and all the poor of the world. We are part of The Other Campaign.<\/p>\n<p>We thank you for allowing us to share this humble proposal. From where we are at in\u00a0New York, on the other side, it  fills us with pain and rage to know of the situation that our brothers and sisters of\u00a0San Sebastian\u00a0Bachaj\u00f3n, fellow adherents of The Other Campaign, are confronting.<\/p>\n<p>On February 3, a group of ejidatarios defending their lands, space, and birthplace of\u00a0San Sebasti\u00e1n\u00a0Bachaj\u00f3n, Chiapas, Mexico, was attacked and deprived of their freedom. Ten ejidatarios, who fought to defend the Agua  Azul waterfall from the avarice of transnational corporations, remain illegally imprisoned.<\/p>\n<p>These compa\u00f1eros were taken hostage, as part of a strategy to enable the bad government and\u00a0multinational corporations\u00a0to  seize the natural resources from their ejido (communal farming land).  And now they must face a judicial system that imparts not justice but  vengeance upon those who do not bow to the bad government\u2019s  interests.<\/p>\n<p>For this reason, sisters and brothers, we urgently request your  understanding and generosity in demanding that the repressive governorJuan Sabines Guerrero\u00a0free the ten, unjustly incarcerated, prisoners.<\/p>\n<p>To   that end, we propose that, on Monday, March 7, 2011, we unite our  forces and organize actions \u2013 from our particular locations and  different forms of struggle \u2013 such as demonstrations, marches,  informative street actions, flyering, public forums, theatre, teach-ins,  and any other activity to realize the\u00a0<strong>Worldwide Day of Action for the Liberation of the\u00a0Political Prisoners\u00a0of San Sebastian Bachaj\u00f3n<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, we propose that this Tuesday, March 8, be a day to celebrate all the women of\u00a0The Other Campaign\u00a0for their dignified struggle, from below and to the left, for a new world. We invite everyone to organize activities for the\u00a0<strong>International Day in Honor of the Women of The Other Campaign<\/strong>. On this day, we will celebrate the brave women of\u00a0San Sebasti\u00e1n Bachaj\u00f3n;  the women from autonomous Zapatista communities who resist with dignity  the state and federal governments\u2019 repression; the women of East  Harlem, NYC who from here resist and fight against displacement and the  avarice of transnational corporations; and ALL the women fighters of The  Other Campaign.<\/p>\n<p>We  ask that you please let us know as soon as possible if you accept our  proposal and will participate.
