EJ\u00c9RCITO ZAPATISTA DE LIBERACI\u00d3N NACIONAL.<\/strong><\/p>\n M\u00c9XICO<\/strong><\/p>\n 27 de Julio del 2015.<\/p>\n A la Sexta nacional e internacional:<\/p>\n A l@s exalumn@s de la Escuelita Zapatista:<\/p>\n Compas:<\/p>\n Pues ya se acerca la fecha de lo que ser\u00e1 el segundo nivel (s\u00f3lo para quienes aprobaron el primero) de la Escuelita Zapatista.<\/p>\n Como hab\u00edamos anunciado antes, las fechas son 31 de julio, 1 y 2 de agosto del 2015.<\/p>\n No, no se apuren.\u00a0 No se trata de venir a tierras zapatistas.\u00a0 M\u00e1s bien se trata de no llegar hasta ac\u00e1, al menos no para la escuelita.\u00a0 El segundo nivel ser\u00e1 universal fuera de tierras zapatistas.<\/p>\n Les explicamos:<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Second Grade of the Zapatista Little School <\/strong><\/p>\n ZAPATISTA ARMY FOR NATIONAL LIBERATION July 27, 2015<\/p>\n To the National and International Sixth: The date for the second grade (only for those who passed the first) of the Zapatista Little School is approaching.<\/p>\n As we had previously announced, the dates are July 31 and August 1 and 2 of 2015.<\/p>\n No, don\u2019t rush. This time it isn\u2019t about coming to Zapatista territory. Rather, this time it is about not coming here, at least not for the Little School. The second grade will be everywhere, outside of Zapatista territories.<\/p>\n Let us explain:<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Pues como ya lo hemos dicho, vemos que la situaci\u00f3n econ\u00f3mica est\u00e1 dif\u00edcil.\u00a0 Bueno, no s\u00f3lo la econ\u00f3mica, la represi\u00f3n gubernamental en contra de los pueblos originarios Yaquis (en Sonora) y Nahuas (en Santa Mar\u00eda Ostula, Michoac\u00e1n, y en Ayotitl\u00e1n, Jalisco), y del magisterio democr\u00e1tico (en Oaxaca primero, despu\u00e9s ser\u00e1 en las otras entidades) nos recuerdan a todas y todos que los de arriba no tienen palabra y que el traicionar es ya parte de su modo de hacer pol\u00edtica.<\/p>\n En lo econ\u00f3mico, pues lo sabemos que no es f\u00e1cil conseguir plata para ir tirando en el d\u00eda a d\u00eda, mucho menos para viajar seguido y estar varios d\u00edas ac\u00e1.<\/p>\n Bien lo sabemos nosotras, nosotros, zapatistas, que si decimos que vengan a la escuelita a seguir aprendiendo a mirarnos, pues habr\u00e1 quien s\u00ed puede.<\/p>\n Pero la mayor\u00eda de quienes s\u00ed aprobaron el primer nivel son compas que no tienen la paga y\/o tienen que cumplir con sus deberes de la chamba en las geograf\u00edas en las que luchan.\u00a0 O sea que como quien dice, no pueden estar viniendo cada tanto.\u00a0 No porque no quieran, sino porque no pueden.\u00a0 Hay quienes ya hicieron todo lo que pudieron para llegar hasta ac\u00e1 para el semillero de mayo pasado, y pues est\u00e1 muy dif\u00edcil que puedan venir de nuevo en este a\u00f1o.<\/p>\n No se trata de que la escuelita sea s\u00f3lo para quienes no tienen problemas de calendario ni de paga para viajar.\u00a0 Lo que nosotras, nosotros, zapatistas, queremos, es que nuestr@s compas de la Sexta nos vean directamente, nos miren y nos escuchen, y, como debe ser, tomen lo que crean que les puede servir y dejen a un lado lo que crean que no les sirve o les estorba.<\/p>\n Como tomamos en cuenta todas esas cosas, pues tenemos que pensar c\u00f3mo hacerle para seguir hablando con ustedes y aprendernos mutuamente.<\/p>\n Entonces hemos organizado los siguientes niveles (del 2 al 6) de modo que no tengan que venir a cada rato, sino digamos una vez por a\u00f1o.\u00a0 Claro, avis\u00e1ndoles con tiempo cuando es que hay posibilidad de que les recibamos por ac\u00e1.<\/p>\n As\u00ed las cosas, les avisamos que para el Segundo Nivel no hay clases en territorio zapatista.\u00a0 Claro, si quieren venir a la fiesta de los caracoles, pues bien.\u00a0 Pero no tienen que venir a clase, pues.<\/p>\n Pero s\u00ed va a haber clase y, por supuesto, examen.<\/p>\n Vamos a hacer as\u00ed:<\/p>\n 1.- Quienes hayan aprobado el primer nivel, a partir del d\u00eda 30-31 de julio y 1 de agosto de este a\u00f1o del 2015, recibir\u00e1n un correo electr\u00f3nico (si es que lo tienen, y si no, pues se le mandar\u00e1 a quien los contact\u00f3 para el primer nivel).\u00a0 En ese correo electr\u00f3nico ir\u00e1 una direcci\u00f3n electr\u00f3nica donde estar\u00e1 alojado un video.\u00a0 En ese video, un grupo de maestros y maestras zapatistas especiales, explicar\u00e1n lo que explicar\u00e1n.\u00a0 Para poder ver ese video, necesitar\u00e1n una contrase\u00f1a o un password<\/em>, como se dice, esa contrase\u00f1a vendr\u00e1 en el mismo correo que reciban.<\/p>\n Bueno, el video no es fuerza verlo individualmente.\u00a0 Se pueden juntar colectivos, grupos u organizaciones para verlo.\u00a0 Pueden hacerlo en los locales de los Equipos de Apoyo de Comisi\u00f3n Sexta del EZLN que hay en varias partes de M\u00e9xico, o en los locales de grupos y colectivos y organizaciones de la Sexta en el mundo.<\/p>\n Hasta ah\u00ed no hay problema.\u00a0 Sea individualmente o sea en colectivo, usted ve y escucha a nuestras compa\u00f1eras y compa\u00f1eros decirles algo, explicarles una parte de la genealog\u00eda de la lucha zapatista.\u00a0 Porque ustedes ya escucharon, vieron y hasta convivieron con bases de apoyo zapatistas, con sus Votanes<\/em><\/strong>, con sus familias.\u00a0 Pero eso es s\u00f3lo una parte de la lucha por la libertad seg\u00fan el zapatismo.\u00a0 Faltan m\u00e1s partes.<\/p>\n Es como si s\u00f3lo les hubi\u00e9ramos dado una parte del rompecabezas.\u00a0 O sea que, como quien dice, falta lo que falta.<\/p>\n Tambi\u00e9n tiene usted que estudiar el cap\u00edtulo I del libro \u201cEl Pensamiento Cr\u00edtico frente a la Hidra Capitalista\u201d, los apartados titulados: \u201cAlgo de lo que ha cambiado\u201d; \u201cHacia una Genealog\u00eda de la lucha de las Zapatistas\u201d; y \u201cApuntes de Resistencia y Rebeld\u00eda\u201d.\u00a0 Si no tiene el libro, no se preocupe porque esas partes est\u00e1n ya en la p\u00e1gina de Enlace Zapatista, pero m\u00e1s mejor que consiga el libro porque ah\u00ed est\u00e1 como quien dice la idea \u00edntegra.<\/p>\n 2.- Despu\u00e9s de ver, escuchar y estudiar lo que dicen las compa\u00f1eras y compa\u00f1eros en el video y de estudiar esos apartados del libro, usted INDIVIDUALMENTE va a escribir 6 preguntas.\u00a0 No m\u00e1s, no menos.\u00a0 Seis preguntas sobre lo que usted escuch\u00f3 y mir\u00f3 en el video.\u00a0 Esas 6 preguntas las va a mandar usted a una direcci\u00f3n que va a venir en el correo que reciba.\u00a0 La fecha para mandar es cualquier d\u00eda y hora despu\u00e9s del 3 de agosto del 2015 y hasta el d\u00eda 3 de octubre del 2015 inclusive.<\/p>\n 3.- Las preguntas no se le responder\u00e1n individualmente, sino en colectivo.\u00a0 Es decir, ac\u00e1 vamos a juntar las preguntas y vamos a hacer escritos, videos, grabaciones donde se responden esas preguntas.\u00a0 Cuando usted lea un texto de la comandancia o escuche una grabaci\u00f3n de l@s votanes, sabr\u00e1 que est\u00e1n respondiendo su pregunta.\u00a0 Si no, no desesperar, quiere decir que habr\u00e1 otra palabra donde se le responder\u00e1.\u00a0 No habr\u00e1 respuestas individuales, sino generales y colectivas.<\/p>\n 4.- Las preguntas son importantes.\u00a0 Como es nuestro modo zapatista, son m\u00e1s importantes que las respuestas.\u00a0 O sea que son las preguntas que haga, las que se van a evaluar para decidir si usted pasa al tercer nivel.<\/p>\n 5.- O sea que como quien dice, se trata de que usted se d\u00e9 cuenta de que lo que les interesa a l@s zapatistas no son las certezas, sino las dudas.\u00a0 Porque pensamos que las certezas inmovilizan, o sea que un@ queda tranquil@, content@, sentad@ y no se mueve, como que ya lleg\u00f3 o ya supo.\u00a0 En cambio las dudas, las preguntas hacen que un@ se mueva, que busque, que no est\u00e9 tranquil@, que est\u00e9 como inconforme, como que no le pasa el d\u00eda o la noche.\u00a0 Y las luchas de abajo y a la izquierda, compas, nacen de las inconformidades, de las dudas, de la intranquilidad.\u00a0 Si un@ se conforma es porque est\u00e1 esperando que le digan qu\u00e9 hacer o ya le dijeron qu\u00e9 hacer.\u00a0 Si un@ est\u00e1 inconforme, est\u00e1 buscando qu\u00e9 hacer.<\/p>\n 6.- Entonces pues de una vez le decimos qu\u00e9 es lo que se va a evaluar para pasar a tercer nivel: las 6 preguntas que usted, individualmente, haga.\u00a0 Eso es lo que valorar\u00e1n l@s votanes<\/em><\/strong> para ver si lo ponen en la lista que dice \u201cPasan a tercer nivel\u201d.<\/p>\n Pues es todo lo que les avisamos ahora compas.\u00a0 Como quiera, con todo y la escuelita, tenemos que seguir apoy\u00e1ndonos mutuamente y apoyando a quienes luchan por verdad y justicia, como el pueblo Nahua de Ostula que demanda justicia por el ataque que sufri\u00f3 y en el que fue asesinado por el ej\u00e9rcito federal, el ni\u00f1o EDILBERTO REYES GARC\u00cdA; como el del pueblo Nahua de Ayotitl\u00e1n, atacado por guardias blancas y polic\u00edas al servicio de la trasnacional minera Ternium; como los familiares de los 47 ausentes de Ayotzinapa; como los familiares de l@s ni\u00f1@s de la Guarder\u00eda ABC (que no porque no salga la noticia es que ya no luchan por justicia); como los familiares de pres@s y desaparecid@s pol\u00edtic@s en todo el mundo; como el magisterio rebelde; como la Grecia de abajo y a la izquierda que no se trag\u00f3 el cuento del refer\u00e9ndum; como l@s pres@s que siguen desafiando al Poder y al Estado a\u00fan detr\u00e1s de las rejas; como quienes lo desaf\u00edan en las calles y en los campos de todas las geograf\u00edas; como los pueblos originarios que se mantienen en la defensa de la Madre Tierra; Well, not just the economic situation. The government repression against the originary peoples, including the Yaquis (in Sonora) and Nahuas (in Santa Mar\u00eda Ostula, Michoac\u00e1n, and in Ayotitl\u00e1n, Jalisco), and against the democratic teachers union (first in Oaxaca, later it will come in other states) reminds us all that those above do not honor their word and betrayal is part of the way they do politics.<\/p>\n With respect to the economic situation, we know that it is not easy to get together the money for daily things, much less for frequent travel to spend a few days here.<\/p>\n We Zapatistas know very well that if we say come to the Little School to continue learning how to really see us, well there will be people who can.<\/p>\n But the majority of those who passed the first grade are compas who do not have the money to do so or have to comply with work responsibilities in the geographies where they struggle. That is, they can\u2019t just be coming here every so often. This isn\u2019t because they don\u2019t want to, but because they can\u2019t. There are those who did everything they could to get here for the seminar\/seedbed this past May, and it\u2019s really difficult for them to come again this year.<\/p>\n And the Little School should not be only for those who don\u2019t have problems with the calendar or the funds for travel. What we Zapatistas want is for our compas of the Sixth to see us directly, to see us and hear us and, as it should be, take what they think will be useful to them and leave aside what isn\u2019t useful or is bothersome.<\/p>\n Taking all these things into account, we have to think about how to continue talking to you and mutually learning from each other.<\/p>\n So we have organized the next grade levels (2 through 6) so that you don\u2019t have to come so frequently, but rather let\u2019s say once a year. Of course, we will give you sufficient notice when there are possibilities to receive you here.<\/p>\n Given that, we want to let you know that for Second Grade there are no classes in Zapatista territory. Of course, if you want to come to the festivals in the Caracoles, that\u2019s fine. But you don\u2019t have to come for class.<\/p>\n But there is going to be class, and of course, exams.<\/p>\n This is how it will work:<\/p>\n 1. Those who passed the first grade will receive, as of July 30-31 and August 1 of 2015, an email (if you have email that is; if not, we\u2019ll send notice via the person who contacted you for the first grade). This email will have a link to a site with a video. In this video, a group of special Zapatista teachers will explain what is to be explained. In order to see this video you will need a password, as they call it, which will be included in the email. Now, the video doesn\u2019t have to be viewed alone. You can get your collectives, groups, or organizations together to watch it. You can do this in the spaces that the EZLN\u2019s Sixth Commission Support Teams have across Mexico, or in spaces belonging to the groups, collectives, and organizations of the Sixth throughout the world. There is no problem with any of that. Be it individually or collectively, you will see and hear our compa\u00f1eras and compa\u00f1eros explain to you a part of the genealogy of the Zapatista struggle. You all have already heard, seen, and even lived with Zapatista bases of support, with your Votanes, with your families. But this is just one part of the struggle for freedom according to Zapatismo. There are others. You will also have to study Chapter 1 of the book \u201cCritical Thought Versus the Capitalist Hydra,\u201d the sections titled: \u201cSome of what has changed\u201d; \u201cToward a Genealogy of the Zapatista Struggle\u201d; and \u201cNotes on Resistance and Rebellion.\u201d Don\u2019t worry if you don\u2019t have the book, because these sections are already on the Enlace Zapatista webpage, but it\u2019s better to get the book because that\u2019s where you get the whole picture.<\/p>\n 2. After you see, hear, and study what our compa\u00f1eras and compa\u00f1eros say in the video, and after studying those parts of the book, you will INDIVIDUALLY write 6 questions. You will send these 6 questions to an email address that will be included in the email that you receive. The date for sending your questions can be any day and time between August 3, 2015, and October 3, 2015.<\/p>\n 3. We will not respond to your questions individually, but rather collectively. That is, we are going to put all of the questions together here and then create texts, videos, and recordings where we respond. When you read a text from the [EZLN] Comandancia or listen to a recording from the votanes, you will know that they are answering your questions. If you don\u2019t hear a response to your question, don\u2019t despair, that just means that there are more words coming that will respond to you. There won\u2019t be any individual answers, only general and collective ones.<\/p>\n 4. The questions are important. As is our way as Zapatistas, the questions are more important than the answers. And it is the questions that will be evaluated to decide whether you pass and move on to the third grade.<\/p>\n 5. The idea is that you realize that what interests the Zapatistas is not the certainties, but rather the doubts. Because we think certainties immobilize; that is, they leave one content, satisfied, sitting still and not moving, as if one had already arrived at or already knew the answers. In contrast doubts\u2014questions\u2014make one move or search. They don\u2019t leave one at peace, but rather non-compliant and dissenting, as if there were neither night nor day. And the struggles below and to the left, compas, are born in disagreement, in doubts, in restlessness. If one is satisfied and in agreement it is because they are waiting to be told what to do or they have already been told what to do. If one is discontent, it is because they are searching for what to do.<\/p>\n 6. So we\u2019re telling you right now what we are going to use in order to decide if you proceed to the third grade: the 6 questions that you put forward individually. This is what the votanes will evaluate to see whether to put you on the list for \u201cContinues on to Third Grade.\u201d<\/p>\n Well compas, that is all we wanted to tell you for now. In any case, through the Little School and everything else, we will continue supporting each other and supporting those who struggle for truth and justice, like the Nahua people of Ostula who demand justice for the attack on their community in which the child EDILBERTO REYES GARC\u00cdA was murdered by the federal army; like the Nahua people of Ayotitl\u00e1n, attacked by guardias blancas and police working for the transnational mining company Ternium; like the families of the 47 absent students of Ayotzinapa; like the families of the children of the ABC Daycare (just because the media doesn\u2019t report on them doesn\u2019t mean they no longer struggle for justice); like the families of the political prisoners and the disappeared all over the world; like the rebellious teachers\u2019 union; like the Greece from below and to the left that never bought into the story of the referendum; like the prisoners that continue to challenge Power and the State even from behind bars; like those who challenge Power from the streets and countryside in all geographies; like the originary peoples who keep up their defense of the Mother Earth; like those who do not sell out, do not give in, and do not give up.<\/p>\n Because resistance and rebellion are what break the geographies and calendars above. Because when above they predict defeat, discouragement, and surrender, there is always one [uno, una, unoa] who says \u201cNO.\u201d Because, look at how things are, at the roots of freedom there is always a \u201cNO\u201d that clings to the earth, nourishes itself and grows from her.<\/p>\n Okay then.
