Buenas noches, compa\u00f1eros y compa\u00f1eras, hermanos y hermanas.<\/p>\n

As\u00ed como acaba de explicar la compa\u00f1era Comandanta Miriam es todo cierto. Fuimos maltratadas, humilladas, despreciadas, porque nosotras nunca sab\u00edamos si tenemos derecho de organizarse, de participarse, de hacer todos tipos de trabajo, porque nadie nos daba la explicaci\u00f3n c\u00f3mo podemos organizarnos para salir en esa explotaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

Porque en esos tiempos est\u00e1bamos todas en la oscuridad porque no sab\u00edamos nada, pero desde la clandestinidad lleg\u00f3 un d\u00eda en que algunas compa\u00f1eras fueron reclutadas, y esas reclutadas fue reclutando a otras compa\u00f1eras pueblo por pueblo.<\/p>\n

Good evening compa\u00f1eros<\/em> and compa\u00f1eras<\/em>, brothers and sisters.<\/p>\n

What compa\u00f1era<\/em> Comandanta Miriam just explained is all true. We were poorly treated, humiliated, and unappreciated because we never knew that yes, we did have the right to organize, to participate, to do all types of work; this is because no one had given us an explanation of how we could organize to get out of this exploitation.<\/p>\n

At that time we were all in the dark, we didn\u2019t know anything. But during the time of clandestinity, there came a day when some compa\u00f1eras<\/em> were recruited, and they went on to recruit other compa\u00f1eras<\/em> village by village.<\/p>\n

Then came the time to name a compa\u00f1era<\/em> to be the local authority for each community. They named me as a local authority of my community. That is when I started going to meetings in order to bring more information back to the community. Later on we held meetings with the compa\u00f1eras<\/em> in the village to explain to them how the collective work could be organized, and to also to explain to them that its necessary to have compa\u00f1eras<\/em> who are insurgents and milicianas<\/em>.[i]<\/sup><\/a><\/p>\n

Despu\u00e9s lleg\u00f3 el momento de nombrar una compa\u00f1era responsable locales de cada pueblo. A m\u00ed me nombraron como responsable local de mi pueblo. Es ah\u00ed donde empec\u00e9 a salir en las reuniones para traer m\u00e1s informaciones para el pueblo, luego hacemos reuniones con las compa\u00f1eras del pueblo para darles explicaciones c\u00f3mo se puede organizar en los trabajos colectivos, y tambi\u00e9n explicamos que es necesario que haya compa\u00f1eras milicianas, insurgentas.<\/p>\n

S\u00ed entendieron los padres y madres, sus hijas mandaron de ser milicianas, de ser insurgentas. Y esas compa\u00f1eras hicieron ese trabajo con mucha gana porque ya entendieron c\u00f3mo est\u00e1 la explotaci\u00f3n del mal sistema. As\u00ed empezamos la participaci\u00f3n de las compa\u00f1eras.<\/p>\n

Claro que no fue nada f\u00e1cil, pero poco a poco fuimos entendiendo y as\u00ed avanzamos hasta llegar en 94 cuando salimos en la luz p\u00fablica, cuando ya no aguantaba el maltrato que nos hac\u00edan los pinches capitalistas. Ah\u00ed vimos que s\u00ed es verdad que s\u00ed tenemos el valor y la fuerza igual que los hombres, porque pudieron enfrentar con el enemigo, no le tuvieron miedo a nadie. Por eso nosotras estamos dispuesto en cualquier cosa que nos quiera hacer el mal sistema capitalista.<\/p>\n

Despu\u00e9s pas\u00e9 de ser responsable regional, ese responsable regional es hacer reuni\u00f3n en las regiones con las compa\u00f1eras responsables locales, para llevar informaciones al pueblo, para organizarse m\u00e1s las compa\u00f1eras c\u00f3mo hacer trabajos en el pueblo. Y tambi\u00e9n salimos a visitar a los pueblos para organizar m\u00e1s responsables locales, para darle a entender a las dem\u00e1s compa\u00f1eras que s\u00ed es necesario que haiga la participaci\u00f3n de la mujer. As\u00ed empezamos a participar.<\/p>\n

Poco a poco fuimos perdiendo el miedo y la verg\u00fcenza, porque ya entendemos que tiene el derecho de participar en todas \u00e1reas de trabajo. Despu\u00e9s nos dimos cuenta para hacer una revoluci\u00f3n no s\u00f3lo los hombres, tiene que hacer entre hombres y mujeres.<\/p>\n

Es todo, compa\u00f1eros, compa\u00f1eras.<\/p>\n

If the fathers and mothers understood, they sent their daughters to be milicianas<\/em>, to be insurgents. And these compa\u00f1eras<\/em> did the work with incredible gusto because they already understood what exploitation in the bad system was. This is how the compa\u00f1eras\u2019 participation began.<\/p>\n

Of course, this was not easy at all, but little by little we came to understand, and in this way we moved forward until 94 when we came out into the public light, when we couldn\u2019t stand the mistreatment from those capitalist fuckers. There we saw that it was true that we did have courage and strength just like the men, because we could face off with the enemy, without fear of anyone. This is why we are ready for anything the bad capitalist system tries to throw at us.<\/p>\n

Later, I went on to be a regional authority. The regional authority is responsible for holding regional meetings with the compa\u00f1eras<\/em> who are local authorities; for taking information to the people, for organizing the compa\u00f1eras<\/em> in how to do work in the community. We also went to visit the communities to organize more local authorities, and to help the other compa\u00f1eras<\/em> understand that it was necessary for women to participate. This is how we started participating<\/p>\n

Little by little we lost our fear and embarrassment, because we now understood that we had the right to participate in all areas of work. We came to understand that making a revolution required both women and men.<\/p>\n
