NEW MESSAGE: THE ZAPATISTA GOOD GOVERNMENT COUNCIL OF OVENTIC ISSUES ITS WORD TO DEMAND FREEDOM FOR FRANCISCO SÁNTIZ LÓPEZ

Compañeras and compañeros:

We send you strong embraces from El Barrio, New York.

As mentioned in our last correspondence, today we are very happy to be able to share with you the NEW message concerning the political prisoner Francisco Sántiz López that the Zapatista Good Government Council of Oventic has provided us. In this message, our Zapatista sisters and brothers reiterate their just demand: That our compañero Francisco of the Zapatista support base be released immediately. In addition, they affirm that it is clear that the Government of Mexico, in its three levels, will continue to violate human rights in its “war” against the Zapatistas.

The wise and courageous words of our Zapatista sisters and brothers always fill us with emotion and hope. For this reason, we ask that you please circulate widely this message, especially amongst your social networks and contacts–that is, to all those good hearted-people who fight for justice.

The emotion that is moving in our hearts today makes us even more excited. With more energy we continue preparing ourselves for the global actions that are about to take place in various countries around the world.

We know that each time we join together, braiding our words, our demands, with our actions, we push back against this unjust system and create cracks in each brick of the unjust prison.

That said, we wish to remind you all once more to inform us as soon as possible whether you will participate in the “Second Week of Worldwide Struggle: Bringing Down the Prison Walls!”, which will take place June 8-15.

Many thanks, sisters and brothers. We hope that you enjoy the new message from the Good Government Council. May we continue uniting until we win!

Sincerely,

From El Barrio, New York.
